WoodSpring Suites is an extended stay hotel. Our hotels are comfortable, our rooms are well-priced. If you need a hotel for a few nights, a week, or longer - you'll save more money the longer you stay with us. Extended stay hotels are different in amenities from traditional hotels. - This location is a pet-friendly hotel - 24/7 front desk - Appliances included in in-room kitchens with other items available - Three suite designs to choose from for one-to-four guests - Free basic wi-fi and parking - Guest laundry room and vending available at all locations 24/7 - Weekly rates, long-stay/monthly rates, and nightly rates available
When this place opened as ValuePlace, the rooms started at $119/week, then they never stopped climbing. Now, as Woodspring, they start out at $300/week. So, with taxes, that is $350 per week for the cheapest room. I stayed here previously while relocating for a period of five or six months (as ValuePlace) and paid under $600/month. Two weeks ago, the lady at the counter told me that they do not have, and have never had, monthly rates. Ok, then...
This is no longer an economical or affordable hotel for most normal working people.
As we pulled into the parking lot we noticed about five sketchy looking people outside smoking. As soon as we entered the place, we noticed all the varied and nasty smells. In the room across the hall from our room, there were a lot of noisy men who made us feel rather unsafe. One of these men approached us in the hall and he was super drunk, which creeped us out further. Once in our room, the stench was overwhelming; a cross between cigarettes and old greasy food. I checked the pillows and they smelled like dirty hair. The bed looked wrinkly and poorly made, so I whipped back the covers and discovered a huge urine stain. A URINE STAIN! Naturally, we freaked. The staff was apologetic and found us another room, which was also unkempt. The manager got us new sheets and pillows and continued apologising. But... we were still skeeved. Our new room had sticky floors and bits of food from the previous guest(s), so we left our shoes on. There was gross brown gunk around the faucets in the bathroom and not only were there bugs around the bathroom sink and in the shower, there were several different kinds of bugs. It was late and the hotels in town were booked up due to the eclipse, but I'm telling you we were wishing for our camping gear. We went to Walmart to buy some blankets because we wanted to avoid touching as much as we could. Gross. Never again. We paid about $100 for a night in hell.
Nowhere does it say when booking hotel room that you need to bring shampoo, soap, tissue and towels. The give you 2 towels and charge if you want washed they also charge for coffee maker, and have no maid service. Now we know to bring your own. However the service is great, Jared was super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. Pretty close to everything you want to do and plenty of restaurants. There is a full size frig, stove top and sink in all rooms. Also has a laundry room.
