The room and bathroom was very dusty women long hair in the showers and around tub, the chair in the room was so stained it had to have a sheet put on it to sit down, the room floor wasn’t and hasn’t been vacuumed in a while… the food was visually appealing, in which had no taste, however room service was on time
Stayed for 10 days during the Derby City Classic. Loved the pool tournament, very disappointed with both hotel and casino. Apparently you have to ask to get your room cleaned. It's 2022! Breakfast buffet only available during weekends. Prices were downright offensive. Only a few food options in the casino with the same ridiculous prices. Plastic cutlery. Try cutting crispy bacon with a plastic knife. The only place that looked like they had decent food was the Ramsay place and they charged $135 for a steak. We ended up having to drive to new albany for breakfast and dinner every single day. Unless you're desperate to gamble, I would suggest booking a trip to Vegas instead. I'm never coming back here.
Arrived at the hotel and it was confusing where to park while we checked in. Seems like it may have been better pre-covid. We also could not find a place to valet park for the hotel. You have to take an elevator up to check in. Property is a bit dated but it was clean. It was nice to be able to walk by a covered hallway to get to the casino. Although there are non smoking sections, the smoking areas don't seem ventilated well enough to remove the awful smell. Staff were friendly.
Arrived on Friday for a 2-night stay. Saturday morning I woke up with a stuffy nose and started sneezing, felt miserable. Sneezed all day, approximately 30 times and had a continuous runny nose, like allergies. Went to dinner at Gordon Ramsay's and seemed to feel better. Someone mentioned that there may be mold in our room. Got back to the room and started sneezing again right away and had a runny nose, like water pouring out of my nose. Looked in the bathroom and there is mold in the shower. Can't wait to leave in the morning. Will not be spending the night again here anytime soon.
I had stayed at Caesars years ago but this was my first time since then and I was a bit disappointed. First of all the wait to check in is ridiculous. You need more associates at the front desk especially during primary check in time. Upgrades to rooms should be for everyone not just high rollers. Those who aren’t high rollers are paying more for their rooms to start with. The rooms Need improvements. They’re dull and unremarkable. Dark and depressing Every single room should have a microwave. Especially since you have no decent restaurants anymore. And fix your hot water problem! Anyone paying for a hotel room should not run out of hot water! i have had. more pleasant stays in a Comfort Inn than this place!
Although it is WAY out (driving on small, dark roads...) it was a very pretty casino and nice room. Unlimited in room free wi fi was good enough to get work done. Be prepared for lots of walking - the parking garage is between the hotel and casino. The bath tub was nice, but small, and hot water ran out! The casino has NO comped alcohol, but water, juices, soda are free. The view out the window was nice.
This was a casino visit only, so I can’t speak to the hotel room this trip. I’ve been coming here since 2003, and just stopped in for the first time in 14 months or so to see what’s new. Disappointingly, most of the video poker is now in the non-smoking section. Also, ALL of the bars are non-smoking, even the one that’s in the smoking area of the casino. I’m all for non-smoking choices, but maybe make one bar with video poker available to smokers (maybe the one in the smoking area). Maybe it was a temporary situation, but my reasons for visiting CSI have been diminished greatly. The new casino is a beautiful property, but oddly feels smaller than the riverboat that it replaced. The expansive experience of years past seems to have given way to a feeling that they are trying to maximize profit per square foot more than in the past. This is evident in the ticket redemption machines; no coins are dispensed, so you have to take tickets worth less than a dollar to the casino cage. I went to do this, but 15 people were in line to do the same thing and I couldn’t wait at the time. This is a holdover from the pandemic which still happens on the strip in Vegas, but most IN casino ATMs dispense change now. I was hugely loyal to the Horseshoe and previous iteration of Caesars, and I’m sure things will even out. I’ll give it another six months, and see if the excitement (for me) has returned. …
I enjoyed every minute of it.The room was nice facing the RIVER the food was good the people were nice.the length to the CASINO SHOULD OF HAD A GOLF CART.The good part was I won I will not tell how much just say it made me happy..
My wife and I stayed here for our 1st anniversary. We had a similar ordeal on our honeymoon in Gatlinburg. We got checked in and my wife noticed that the bathroom had dirt and hair on the floor plus hair on the sink counter. She called the front desk and they gave us a new room. When we got in the new room. We noticed that bathroom was dirty as well. There was hair in the bathtub. We called back down to the front desk. They sent two women that were in charge of housekeeping. One of the women started scolding at my wife and was very unprofessional for the position she holds. We checked out this morning and told the front desk and all they could say was sorry. We never thought that we would have to deal with this again so soon. I’m the type of husband that would do anything above and beyond for my wife.…
Able to get roll in shower for the wheel chair which was nice. Dog room had carpet which might be a problem for some. My dog kept smelling every inch of the room. They have a nature trail behind the hotel which serves as a dog park. All in all the room was very nice and surprising since it's out in the woods about 15 mins from the little town.
