Caesars Southern Indiana receives mixed feedback, with the casino and restrooms often earning praise for their spotlessness, while some guests suggest that the rooms could benefit from more thorough cleaning and updating. The range of amenities offered is both a hit and miss, with entertainment and dining options being appreciated, yet some dissatisfaction expressed over room condition and jacuzzi upkeep.
Service experiences vary, with commendations for professionalism contrasting with some reports of rudeness. Noise levels and odors in rooms have been a concern, potentially detracting from the hotel's inviting atmosphere and overall perceived value.

Detailed Reviews
If you do not smoke, I would advise DO NOT book a smoking room even if it is the only room available. The air is very thick with it, and it caused my eyes to burn thoroughly when trying to sleep. Despite this and the hot tub being out of commission, my husband and I had a very nice stay. The staff was very friendly. Also, I do recommend a massage or treatments within the spa located in the lobby. Although the food was pricey, the Aroma Cafe in the lobby does make certain that you have your money's worth of food when you order off of the dinner menu.

Stayed 2 nights. Contrary to many reviews the casino is listed as 110,000 sq feet and appears to be so, making it LARGER than the boat and has more machines! It is easily comparable to some of the larger casinos in LV.
I played almost 10 hours and in general the machines were mostly of newer models with only a very few old classics. Even some video poker machines had some odd betting twists on old pay tables. Only a few of the machines are not yet in service, probably less than 5%. I had a nearly $1000 bonus on an Octoberfest beer themed machine that I had never seen before.
On a Monday and Tues.the casino was in no way crowded. Tall ceilings and spacious aisles, I rented a scooter and could maneuver without trouble, smoke was not an issue.
Most table games were closed (not needed because of the small crowd) 2 craps tables were open and busy with $5 min, I won 500 there in about 20 min. Friendly craps dealers were experienced.
The much hyped sports book is not much. Boring set of chairs, no horse betting, no thought exerted to decor or ambiance, no cocktail service but a nearby bar.
We had interactions with about 24 employees. Many were friendly, probably 5 were lackadaisical and 5 were downright surly. At least 10 or more were unhelpful due to attitude, poor training, incompetence or all three. Employees are prone to be interacting with each other (cutting up) while you wait.
Also DO NOT believe everything Caesars website has to say about the property. The restaurant hours are not as listed, the bar specialty drink menus apparently are only on the website, the bartenders aren't even aware they exist. The bars quit before 3am state closing time. Despite the nearly empty bars it is slowww service. Drinks are inconsistently made.
Cocktail service is spotty and hit and miss. Slots have the drink ordering system which is successful about 1/3 of the time. Otherwise flag down a cocktail waitress. On Monday night there appeared to be only one for the whole casino.
Hotel is OK, hot tub was down. There is nothing spectacular about this hotel, but front desk was nice, and fast. Room was clean and everything worked. Had a fridge and safe.
They gave me my room for $20/day resort fee and I earned plenty of Reward credits to feed us. I also earned Platinum in 2 days. I was several hundred dollars ahead on 2 occasions but I dutifully somehow managed to stuff it all back in the machines, meaning it may be possible to win there just maybe not for ME.

There is a major distance from the hotel to the casino. They have stopped having a shuttle from the hotel to the casino. If you want room service in the hotel you have to call and ask for them to come in and take out the dirty towels and replace them with clean, take out the garbage, or any other cleaning in the room. Basically to do any regular room service that any hotel normally does.
In the casino they have very loud music to the point that it is hard to communicate. I personally was not impressed with how they had the casino set up.

The guest rooms had "cleaned and sealed for your protection" seals on the doors and ours was amazing. The tv remote and phone were like new. The increased cleaning really showed both in the room and the public areas. The casino was surprisingly reassuring to me from the temperature taking at the entrance to the "social distance" signs on slot machines throughout. We stayed in the non-smoking area, so everyone had their masks on and were respectful moving around each other. (It wasn't too crowded, which also helped.) The roulette wheel had less capacity than usual and each spot got flagged for cleaning as soon as someone left. That was a bit closer together, but still reasonable given that 2 of us were together on one end and the other 2 had room between them. The staff was appreciative of our visit, including one walking from the hotel to casino who thanked us as we walked by. All in all, I was very reluctant to agree to go to the casino this early in the "new normal" but was impressed enough with how they've adjusted that I wanted to share it, particularly after seeing a couple of other recent reviews who didn't have our experience.

Made a reservation and made sure this was a pet friendly hotel and it was with a $50 fee and thats fine with me. Check in on monday and every hotel employee I came in contact seen my dog (chihuahua). Nobody says anything not even at check in I expected the fee. What I'm not ok with is they day before I check out I can't use the wifi because even tho i paid my resort fee the person who checked me in didnt do their job and charge the pet fee remind you even supervisors had seen my dog. So the employee dorthy decides without even asking or contacting me to charge my card for the pet fee 3 days after I already checked in and because that card didnt go through she cuts wifi off to my room and tells me I wont get it back til I pay the pet fee. Its not my fault your employees dont know how to do their job. I called corporate and whoever else and got the same I'm sorry but that's our policy. So its yalls policy to charge peoples cards without acknowledgment. Be carful if you use the stairs in the parking garage there is no watch your steps signs or nothing and I almost fell if it wasn't for my husband catching me. Watch out for security to they like to stand outside your door with their ears to it listening my husband caught a group of them outside our door doing it then they said they got a call for people arguing and my husband wasnt even in the room. Nobody there cares about the guest that is unless your rich. Never again I will go back there. Oh and when I got home my whole 712 credit rewards gone but That's ok theres y'all pet deposit.

Rented 2 rooms for 2 of the same nights at the same time, but charged different rates. Stayed an additional day in 1 of the rooms. Now I get to call to try and get them to fix their mistake, but the office doesn't seem to be open after 5. Was charged a resort fee of $15 a day but they will NOT clean your room even if you request it or come in to take out the trash. If you need anything like clean sheets, towels, klenex, etc., they will deliver to outside your door and you are on your own. What is the resort fee for???? Slots were very tight. Talked to quite a few people and no one seemed to be winning over the weekend we were there. Will not be returning to visit the money I left there. Staff reviewing our ID to get into the casino were more often than not rude, with the exception of an older man who was so sweet the first night. Wish I had gotten his name to send out kudos to him. Unfortunately after the first day, it was all downhill. Casino was very smokey, and full ash trays everywhere. Hotel itself was quiet and the rooms were nice, although my room had no hot water and I had to wait for about 40 minutes while they responded to our call and then worked in the bathroom so I could take a shower.. Check In staff was very nice and professional, but only 2 doing the actual checking in with a line of people. Nothing close to the casino but there are wineries in the area. I should have checked out the location a little more thoroughly.

Enjoyed the friendly welcoming staff and clean large spacious rooms. Amazing food served in Cantina & Cafe in-house restaurants that were large portions served at minimal pricing. We had great friendly interactive card dealers, so "happy" tables make better action. The slots were new & old favorites, open with a spacious casino floor for moving about, and spacious seating at machines not all in each others space like some others we've went too. Machines were noisy and fun, always good action about the floor. Overall our trip was awesome. Such a great move from the boat to actual Land Casino Hotel. We met some new friends, enjoyed some specific interactive dealers and met a great security person in high limit slots and Security to enter the actual Casino was very entertaining and kept it light but always on top of his job. Good times are made by good people!!!

We stayed for two nights in January 2020. Everything went well until we went to use the hot tub as we have many times before. It was broke and we were very disappointed. We book this hotel because of the Casino onsite and the hot tub. We texted the assistant and received an upgrade to a whirlpool suite and simply asked if they would remove the resort fee for the second night because we had to pay $50 more for the room. If they had waived the second night resort fee we would have been very satisfied as when I booked the room the hot tub was working. We have stayed here often and when the pool was down they waived the fee. This time they tried to tell us that the whirlpool was not part of the resort package. It was before so why not now?

Hi Go595253, we're pleased that we were able to accommodate you and upgrade your room to one you preferred. The resort fee has always only covered high-speed internet for unlimited devices in your room, satellite television, access to our fitness and business centers and unlimited local and long distance calls from the room phone. We hope that during your next stay the hot tub is working again, as it sounds like everything else about your trip was great. Andrew, Guest Relations

Love it that the casino is now all on one floor, but miss the buffet. The restaurants there are very good, you can get something from the grill that is reasonable, and one other restaurant has ribs and a little better menu, but it closes at 11:00 p.m. The rooms are nice, but they no longer put any hand lotion in the rooms. The shower has a shampoo and conditioner dispenser which is convenient. The casino has a lot of new machines as well as some of my old favorites. The floor of the casino reminds me of the casinos in Vegas.

I believe that they have outside parking for oversized trucks and RVs.
First, I am not a smoker. But I believe that they have a designated smoking and non smoking area on the casino floor, while most of the gaming floor, dining areas, meeting space, and Events Center are non-smoking. The non-smoking casino area is much smaller than the smoking area. The casino states that they have advanced ventilation to reduce smoke from entering non-smoking areas. Can you smell smoke in the casino - yes I can in the entire casino. Not sure, but I believe that many casino's in Indiana you can smoke in but like I said above, I do not smoke. Hope this helps somewhat.
