In the terms and conditions it mentions not being allowed to use a kettle or any form of heating implement, is that really the case on this site, are food heaters or kettles not allowed?

A number of our terms & conditions apply to our Holiday Homes rather than the Touring Field and this is one of those. You are quite welcome to use electrical appliances on the touring field however please bear in mind that the supply is 10 amp so some household appliances may overload the supply.
