Property's Favorite Review
My husband and I loved this place. And it is “A home in the woods where you feel AT home!” Victoria and Scot were great. Breakfasts were wonderful. They thought of everything down to the tiniest detail. Like they would like to be treated. The setting was so private and so much nature and foliage to look at. Close to the national and state parks. Chesterton has some very good restaurants. NOW…. for the cleanliness check! When typical reviews say this or that place was clean, and we stay there, I don’t think it’s clean. We have very high cleanliness standards! AND THIS PLACE WAS CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!
Thank you both for that as we know that takes a lot of hard work as we have a fairly large home. So that was important for us! 😁
So thank you both for ALL of your hard work!! It was GREATLY appreciated by us!😘

Lovin your jam/jelly!

I absolutely loved my stay there. My room had great decor and was very clean. The shower was a very large walk in shower which was so refreshing after a very hot day in the sun.
I enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing the chicken coup and all the beautiful trees.
My dogs were welcome and even were welcomed by Bailey the resident dog.
Breakfast was so nice and peaceful as we ate outside on the upper deck overlooking the pool, beautiful backyard and wooded area.
I accidentally showed up a day early for my reservation but Vicki was very accommodating and had my room ready in a very short time.
If I’m ever in the area again I will definitely stay there. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed while traveling.

Often people choose their destination, then look for lodging as the afterthought. Vicky and Scott's Bed and Breakfast in itself would be a perfect destination for anyone looking for beauty, calm, and comfort. Had we scheduled more time into our trip we could have enjoyed their perfectly positioned pool and hot tub!
Vicky has an eye for creating beauty with nature and plantings. There are many "rooms" throughout the back yard with seating where depending on your sun/shade requirements at the time, you can be settled into the perfect outdoor nook.
The food is outstanding to say the least! I felt like it was a blessing from God that they had an empty room to accommodate us when we searched last minute for an overnight trip to the Indiana Dunes. This place is worth booking a year in advance!!
Thank you so much!!

Your kinds words made our day. To see our guests enjoying the home and property is food for our souls. When I saw you relaxing in the gravity chair perfectly positioned between the witch hazel and viburnum bushes, I thought, how wonderful to see our guests at peace in our piece of paradise. Thanks for sharing!

Everything about this Bed &Breakfast was perfect. The room was perfect and comfy with a bed that you can sink in. The backyard had the most wonderful nature scenery that makes you feel you are somewhere off the grid. Vicki and Scott give you that warm feeling like you belong in the house, not to mention the cooking was "to die for". Highly recommended not to mention this perfect tucked away Bed &Breakfast is close to multiple attractions.

We stayed here for two nights in July while visiting Indiana Dunes NP. I couldn't recommend it more.
My family and I (myself, wife, and two teen boys) stayed in the Denali Tree House. It was very comfortable and we felt like we had plenty of space and privacy. The location is great. Easy drive to the park or to lots of places to eat in Chesterton.
The property is really beautiful. They have a nice pool and hot tub, a lovely deck (we ate breakfast outside both mornings) and a truly amazing backyard. The portion close to the house is like a really nicely manicured park with a little frog pond - gorgeous. The back portion is wooded with some paths that make for a pleasant morning walk.
Breakfast was excellent both mornings. Lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, and a nice entree. We were well fueled for our adventures each day.
Scott and Vicky were great hosts. They gave us very useful tips on exploring the park, as well as some excellent restaurant recommendations. (Ivy's Bohemia House - fantastic!)

We spent our last three nights and two days of our vacation enjoying Big dune area, our accommodations and our hosts. Great B&B, great breakfast, no, it was a gourmet breakfast, fresh hand-sliced fruit, yogurt with fresh raspberries and shavings of orange rim on it, stuffed French toast, etc, etc….
Great recommendations for our outings each day! Thank you

Rustic inside and out, the accommodation is true to its name. It’s very busily furnished with lots of ornamentation
We spent two nights in the Smoky Mountain room with a large bedroom and shower room. It was quiet, clean, comfortable and well equipped with a TV and good wifi.
The property has a round pool, hot tub, with outdoor seats and loungers on the sun deck (or in our case, rain deck!)
We enjoyed a huge, tasty ‘no lunch breakfast’ which we were wisely advised had to be followed by either a nap or a hike. For the latter it’s well located, just a 15 minute drive from Dunes National Park

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Vicki prepared a delicious breakfast each morning which we ate on the deck overlooking the pool and wooded backyard. The grounds are lush with trees and flowers. Their dog Bailey is a sweetheart, well behaved and the cutest greeter ever. Vicki and Scott are great hosts and truly made us feel right at home.

Many thanks to our hosts Scott and Vicki for a relaxing visit at their BnB. We stayed in the Denali suite which was a comfortable and quiet loft. The breakfasts were great and an afternoon snack of fresh blueberry crisp was delicious. Beautiful gardens, pool and hot tub. And Bailey, their dog, gave us an added warm welcome! The location is private but still close to the Dunes NP and nice restaurants in Chesterton. Couldn't ask for more! We would definitely stay there again.

Crisp sheets, tranquil informal gardens, delicious breakfast, friendly atmosphere all come together in At Home in the Woods. We brought our bikes for the Prairie Dunelands Trail and this was a perfect spot to settle in. Close to trails and beaches.
