We stayed in the Family Suite, which was spacious and modern with two large bathrooms, a kitchenette and a very comfortable king-size bed. Outside in the courtyard was a huge, beautiful garden area with several sitting areas for relaxing (well-lit for nighttime), as well as, barbecue grills for cooking out. Included with the room was a very tasty breakfast with locally roasted gourmet coffee. The hotel was conveniently located just a few minutes from downtown Bloomington and the IU campus.

superbe place with amazing service. We were welcomed by Peyton after a long drive with smiles and helpful information. There is a lovely central garden area, BBQ, confortable lounge and a play corner for kids with wooden games. Such pleasure to eat local produce on china plates... virtually no plastic here!!!!! After a three week tour this is by far the best place weve seen and excellent value.

Really a diamond in the rough and for under $50 per night woww, free breakfast, wifi and cable.....might look dated from the outside but rooms and the comfort of the beds were exceptional. Will definately stay again. Staff was great.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a trip to Bloomington and overall I was disappointed. The staff was very friendly for the most part with the exception of one young lady at the front desk who really did not want to be bothered it seemed. The location is alright, however looking around you may question that statement but there was no trouble. he grounds and buildings need renovated and updated, and to the owners benefit it appears to be in the process, but I would encourage them to hurry along before the ceiling falls in in our bathroom. (literally) We had a few little gnats of some sort in our room that were a bit annoying when trying to sit and relax and watch some TV that evening after a very long hot day. However the room was clean, the sheets fresh and the bed very comfortable. The rate was very affordable, and needed to be for what the product was. The continental breakfast was average, nothing hot, but the room needed updated and the food was not displayed or organized well. Would I stay there again - maybe.

I was a bit nervous about staying in a motel that wasn't a name brand, but I am really glad I took the plunge. The beds were comfortable - the room was small but adequate - but the breakfast was the best ever. It was really a "green" breakfast! They had a place to recycle wastes and had made a real effort to minimize packaging. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful. They have a library and sitting area. It was just really special and I really enjoyed staying there. They even had a small Japanese garden! Wonderful!
