Awful experience. Our bus driver for canoeing was extremely rude and very unprofessional. She left two people from our group to go back to our cars. She asked if everyone was there, we said no and she kept driving anyway. When going to get our deposit back, she came at me very frustrated and threatening yelling at me saying I was lying and it wasn’t my card. As she was yelling at me, the two people in our group waited 25 minutes for her to go back and get them. The bus driver also called DNR on us saying we threw rocks at the building. It was absolutely ridiculous. It was an awful experience and I do not recommend.

This was our first camp trip here. We loved the tubing, the hiking and the park area, but the camping was very busy and close quarters. More busy than we like. We like more rural camping in woodsy area. We were in the full shade area which was nice and woodsy, but other camp grounds were closer than we like which made for some noise issues at bedtime.

Stayed in a tent for the 1st time..was better than I expected. Clean restrooms, campsite clean.SUGAR VALLEY CANOE TRIP...NOT GOOD. We opted for the 6 mile canoe, water level was down so we ended up dragging the canoe sever times (not a problem) however, we were on a time restricted trip & did not have any time to take in beauty of river. We should have been informed this trip would take longer than the 2 hr allowed time. Went we finally got to our destination, the "old man" in charge kept screaming @ all to hurry up this bus wont wait for you. Carry those kayak's up the hill now or I am leaving. Told him we needed help, he said not his job, if its too heavy "you must have gained weight & you cant do it" . I informed him that was not nice, NEVER again there. When this was booked, we were informed that the guys would carry kayak's up the hill & its not a problem. This man was horrible. No one would give us his name, we believe from previous trips HE WAS the owner. Not a way to win customers.

Camped there over the weekend and despite the weather we had a great time! Fun, family environment and great people all around. We ever had an older man on a golf cart come by and check on to make sure we had everything we needed and had found our right spot. The ladies at check in were pleasant and they even had a little girl at the ice cream counter serving ice cream to a few people. This was our first visit but we'll be back for sure!! The offer canoeing but the water levels were too high for my daughter to go so maybe next time
