What a dump! Place smells and the woman owner is rude and called me a liar when I said the sheets were dirty! Spend your money some place else! I will tell all of my friends to spend your money any place else!

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff Beautiful views and lots of wildlife right off the porch Kayaks were really fun and they even brought snorkeling equipment to use Bikes were available for us to use Private safe parking Breakfast was lovely and delicious Very close to the beach and a small market Fresh drinking water was made available to us at all times. Cons: We splurged on their more expensive cabina, however, we weren't told that it was a duplex type house with a shared kitchen. Fortunately no one was staying in the other side. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was broken and I asked for a box fan or something but they never responded to the request either way. The freezer was so built up with ice that the door wouldn't even close and I defrosted it myself. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and the pillows even worse. The water (which we were warned not to drink) was discolored and smelled so bad that I couldn't even bring myself to shower in it after the first night. The road noise was loud and constant We actually had a nice time, and really liked our hosts, but when we visit again, we'll probably try a different place

Sorry, but the lovely forest canopy location, proximity to the beach, wonderful river, punctual breakfast, and generous use of the kayaks and almost broken down bicycles was dramatically overshadowed by the new owners' vicious dog that bit my wife on her upper thigh. The bruise was still visible two weeks later. The dog had growled at us when we first arrived, and the owners told us that it meant that he was happy. The owners' blamed my wife for approaching the main house, (she was there to tell them that the bicycle I was riding had broken six km away). The fork had rotted in the salty air and collapsed under me. We had been told by them that the dog growled when it was happy, and had not been advised to stay away from the house. No guest should ever be bitten by the owner's untethered dog at a lodge.

Room Tip: Our cabin was away from the road and quiet. It was dark, and the inside lighting was inadequate.

We stayed here for two nights. The villas are located in the jungle like garden. The owners are very helpful. They offer bikes and kayaks to be used for free. The breakfast was served on the patio which was nice and the beach is only 10mins to walk (and even faster if you take the bike). Unfortunately the wifi reception was rather bad at our villa and the running water wasn‘t working a few times (no idea why)... Besides that everything was totally fine.
