I visited with family for some afternoon drinks. We had heard that there was a horrendously snooty proprietor but unfortunately he was either misunderstood or not working as the barman was very pleasant and the booze was good, particularly the Belgian lager. The venue was comfortable and well maintained. I left in high spirits.

We visited this hotel for Sunday lunch .First impressions are that the building site attached to the hotel - should be removed or completed - an utter carbuncle! The grounds once verdant and plentiful are bare and sparse. Entering the building the feeling is of tired 1970,s . The lunch however was school dinners at their finest- ok veg and...

Stayed for one night in one of the suites which was furnished to a very high standard and was very comfortable. The breakfast next morning was excellent and all the staff could not be more helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stopped of here for an evening meal. Food was beautiful. Rabbies Chicken melted in your mouth quite often this is tough and overcooked in other establishments but not here. Very reasonable, three courses for two and two drinks each £40. Was quiet when we went in to the bar ( wernt offered a dining room so not sure if that's...

The hotel car park is right next to an unfinished, seemingly abandoned, half-built steel and concrete structure. This is also what many of the rooms look out onto. Not very welcoming for guests. Our room (suite) was large, in fact it was beautiful, with a lovely bathroom - no complaints there. When we went down for our evening meal, we...

Business trip for one night. Helpful staff, clean well appointed rooms, food & service were good, reasonable price so value for money. Initial impression was poor, building site next main building, inside needs investment, I would stay again. Wifi is poor upstairs.
