Viewed this property for future family visit. Unfortunately, it does not hold up to the standards offered by many other facilities. This is a no go! Will move on! Too run down. Plenty of other options available.

We received a call Friday morning letting us know that the waterpark was closed due to the water heater not working. So we will went anyway. We were offered free breakfast buffet, free pizza buffet and buy one get one 50% for our next visit. We stayed in the Villas. They are really nice but you have to bring all... More

After looking at the reviews I was quite hesitant, but it wasn't as bad as everyone had said. The phones in the rooms didn't work, but I didn't mind as I only use my cell. Would have been helpful to call the front desk though... The employees weren't the friendliest, but I don't blame them as they seem understaffed. The... More

We had been back several times and always had fun. Wow, did this place go down hill. Clearly, mismanaged. Start by hiring some housekeepers. This place was not clean. The pool needs lots of maintnace too. I saw this strange man walking around gawking at customers and kids. He looked like he had spent the day at a saloon. When... More

It was my son and nephews 6th birthday party. We are also celebrated my in-laws 40th wedding Anniversary. When we arrived on Friday afternoon they didn't have our reservations. My Mother in-law call Wednesday to confirm our reservation because we had several couple with children coming in from Iowa and Missouri. They could not find our reservation. When they did... More

My companion and I checked into this resort and we were rudely awakened in the middle of the night when we discovered bed bugs in our queen beds. We left immediately (3:30 am), taking a representative bed bug to the front desk in a plastic cup to proved they had an infestation. The next three hours were spent at an... More

Great room, great service but needs water park upgrading and the water was freezing! Great getaway during Labor Day weekend, the Enchanted forest amusement park was great for adults and kids. Its nice that the resort gives you money to spend there with your stay.

We just returned home from a long weekend at this resort. First of all, calling it a resort is a bit of a stretch. Frankly, we just weren’t impressed with this place and would never go back. I realize that these waterpark-type family hotels are not meant to be luxurious. But I do generally expect them to be clean, not... More

We checked in with a reservation for 4 people. We had 3 towel/wash cloth sets. I called the front desk and no one ever came to our door to bring us another towel set. The security lock on the top of the door was broken and missing a piece so it couldn’t be used. There were dead bugs in the... More

We spent the Labor Day weekend with our kids and grandkids at Grand Bear Resort. We stayed in one of the villas, six adults and two six year olds. I have mixed emotions after our trip. We had a nice enough time, but there were a number things that detracted from our stay. THE GOOD 1. The villa was actually... More
