We traveled with our 3 toddlers, 4,almost 3, and 1. The room was right down the hall from the arcade and pool which was great! The room: we chose the family room with balcony, it was alittle more crammed then anticipated and the balcony was smaller than we thought. The ceiling looked like it had puke on it and there was food all around the edge of the base of the bed. We didn’t notices when we first got there as we changed and headed to the pool. The headboards of the bed were pretty gross as well. The bathroom was very clean along with the couch. The beds were the worst. Overall I would give the room a 4/10. We didn’t say anything as we were already unpacked and traveling with toddlers is alot. The gym was very clean! We were lucky to have it right across from our room which was a huge plus!! 10/10 The arcade was great!! Most arcades are expensive, most games were under $1 so our little could play more for less. They didn’t care about the prizes as much as playing the games. I was impressed with the selection of prizes! I would rate the arcade 10/10. The water park: I looooved how this was geared towards the littles. Our girls had so much fun they didn’t want to leave. Our youngest had a great time as well. We loved how family friendly it was! The infant pool was warmer and I was very impressed with that. The main pool area wasn’t too cold which is hard to find. We have traveled to a few other water parks and the water is too cold for the young ones that they tent to spend very little time in there. The down sides of the water park: our girls wanted to try the big water slide, however only single tubes were allowed down, our girls are too young to go buy themselves but wanted mom/dad to join, they were pretty bummed about that. There was also ants everywhere, soooo many ants, on the rocks around the pools, around the tables, on the tables. We feared of bringing them back to our room. Overall I would rate the water park 8/10. Jacks: we do not recommend this place! We ordered the steak, pizza, & Alfredo. The steak was terrible, the center was extremely pink & cold. For $22, we expected better, the waitress never came back to ask how everything was, another waitress had to bring us our silverware to eat with. The pizza was pretty good. The chicken Alfredo wasn’t work the $20 either. The chicken tasted old, the noodles were clumped together as of it had been sitting for an extended period of time. We also ordered onion rings as an appetizer, they tasted like rubber, and came with no sauce; again the waitress didn’t come back so we weren’t given the opportunity to ask for some. I would give jacks a 1/10. Over all we had a blast! The cleanliness could use some improvement, we hope to travel back in the future.

Our villa was very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the Waterpark and arcade. Their pizza and Parmigiano French fries were amazing! And the staff were very friendly and treated us with great respect. We will definitely book again soon! I loved our villa we stayed in 5-2. Fully equipped, everything worked, very clean. Thank you for making me & my family feel very welcomed ☺

We stayed in one of there Villa's it was very clean and spacious. Loved having a kitchen. Fantastic weekend with my grandchildren. The only downside was that you couldn't use the lockers in the water park area due to covid.

We were in one of the villas with 11 people. Very spacious and comfortable! Everyone had a bed to sleep in, the kitchen is stocked with basic pans and utensils to make your meals. We did order burgers from Jack’s Place and brought them back to the villa after a day at the indoor water park and arcade. The burgers were very good. Our grandkids age range was 1.5 years of age to 10. There was something for everyone. Nice little mini vacation to break up the winter months.

I was coming out to Utica for the wine walk and initially had booked an Airbnb. Less than 24 hours before my stay the host canceled on me. I called the Grand Bear Resort to see if they had any availability and Andrea was able to get me a room. She was so kind and professional! The check in and out process was easy and seamless. The room was spotless! I will definitely be back and can’t thank Andrea enough for her professionalism and hospitality.

Overpriced for the experience. Start with strengths; white & green water slides. Especially in the dark. Very clean place. Weaknesses; food/beverage across the spectrum. Pizza was its only plus. Costly for the quality & selection. They would be wise to overhaul the menu & beer selection. Parts of the water park weren’t working & this disappointed the children. As well, it shows it’s age. Kudos to the Lifeguard staff.

I paid $243 for a one night stay. When I checked in they required $100 deposit. I never received this back. I called numerous times and got a run around each time. Contact through Facebook no response. I have had to dispute the charge on my card BoE to get my money back. Never had a hotel charge me a deposit, usually they just get a card on file. My family and I spent al of 4 hours in our room as it’s a waterpark hotel we were never in the room.

The only reason I'm even giving this place two stars is because they are great if you are looking for something that is bare minimum. And I really mean that. Cleanliness is lacking. From dust and spider webs every where to the jacuzzi tub looking like the jets and filter have never even been wiped down, let alone cleaned. There was stuff caked in there and the water came out yellow. (I'm assuming because they use well water) I reserved a cabin for two nights and considering the price, I expected a little more than the experience I received. Starting with the first cabin we checked into being completely flooded to the second cabin being so cold we sat in coats for four hours waiting for the heat to kick in, and maintenance to come fix all the fireplaces because none of them were working. Pretty much killed our first day waiting on maintenance to come. The next morning, we had breakfast in our cabin then planned to enjoy the pool the rest of the day. The pool is underwhelming to say the least. I will say if you have small toddlers, this will probably be a fun time for them. The equipment is not kept up, rust stains everywhere, dirty, there's stains on the stairs the look like blood dripped and when you report it to employees, they just roll their eyes and say, "it's just stain." I would think after so many complaints they would want to rectify it, but again, they clearly do not maintain this place at all. There is extremely limited seating at the indoor pool area. No food service there so bring your own. Also, don't expect to sit. People will come right when they open and fill up all six of the tables (I know, ridiculous) and sit the entire day. They do have a general counter you can keep your things. All of the lockers were out of order as well so don't bring valuables. You can room charge for any purchases in the property. Forget about sitting and eating in the pool area. The customer service here is terrible, with the exception of Shari, who was very pleasant throughout my stay, and my complaints. I did feel bad she had to take on that frustration (she's a manager) of my experience. One thing I will note is I had a pretty bad experience at the hotel restaurant with one of the employees. I won't go into the details but when I requested a manager, It was clear why the rest of the employees customer service was so terrible. It starts with Leslie, the general manager. As the issue escalated by Leslie responding to the issue at hand unprofessionally and dishonestly. As a general manager, she represents the integrity of the company as a whole and what she displayed, I would fire one of my general employees for- this place has lost all credibility with me. All in all, I'll say again- if you're looking for a short, easy, bare minimum type of place that you don't mind paying more than it's worth- this place is fine. If you are concerned with cleanliness- this is definitely NOT the place for you. Don't expect anything more than 2 star service here.
