I waited until early September to look for lodging for our mid-October Starved Rocks trip. Mistake. Everything from hotels to motels to campgrounds near the park were booked. I found this KOA site just miles from Starved Rocks and luck will have it, they had sites available. I had no experience with KOA before, but always think back to those... More

Let me start this review by saying this: I am NOT a camping type. Actually, I'm quite the opposite. However, my teenage son really loves the whole aspect of camping and everything that comes with it. So this year, I made a compromise: we would go to a campground but only if we could stay in a cabin - with... More

We came to the area to spend time with friends for a couple of days and hike the state parks. LaSalle/Peru KOA met our needs for this type of trip. Clean bathrooms, level sites, friendly hosts and easy check in. We had a FHU pull-thru site that was long enough for our trailer, truck and an extra vehicle. Most all... More

Only an overnight for us, but this just what we needed after a long day on the road. Friendly check-in, quiet level site with easy access. Nice campground with pretty trees. Not full, but glad we made a reservation to get a pull-through spot as we didn't have to unhook, as many other road-weary travelers came in shortly after we... More

Excellent facility. The best and cleanest bathroom/shower facility without question. It was cleaner and nicer than some restaurants I've been in. Plus nice grassy tent site up on the hill. Super nice staff and great camp store.

We love this campground. Close to Highway, yet seems like you're in a forest. It's the cleanest place we've ever camped in too. The owners & staff are so welcoming. There's a lot of amenities included. Tents to 5th wheels. Enjoy and relax ☺

Very nice clean camp! The KOA staff are very friendly and nurturing! They have very clean bathrooms along with showers and a very nice warm pool! The camp is quiet by around 9:30/10:00 and the stars are very easy to see! Truly a beautiful place to visit!

We stayed 2 nights with our new RV and 4 tent sites with our large group of family and friends! It was so great, the staff was EXTREMELY helpful with accommodating our last minute needs! They did a great job at making sure that the park was not too overcrowded on this busy July weekend. The restrooms and facilities were... More

Camped for a week in our tiny truck camper. The campground is clean and well maintained. No late night noise even on the 4th of July. Nice pool, clean bathrooms. Laundry available and convenient items available at store.
