A lot of confusion at check-in. We were told there was not a reservation under our name when we showed up. I showed her the email with confirmation number from booking . com and was told that didn't matter, because it wasn't in their system. She finally said she was able to pull the reservation from the booking site and get us the two rooms we had reserved. We had read that the hotel had recently been renovated but it didn't feel that way. The rooms still felt a little 'worn'. The door handles were loose so we had trouble getting in our rooms. The rooms were quite small -- especially the one with one queen bed. The other room had two double beds, so they were a bit small than what we're used to. The beds were very comfortable and we did get a good night's sleep. Breakfast buffet was good as well. This is the first time we've been to a hotel breakfast that had cinnamon by the coffee so that was huge bonus points for us! We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel. Our time at the hotel was okay, it just seemed like it should have been a bit nicer for the price.

We stayed one night, the staff were all really nice and friendly, the room was clean. probably the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, but it was clean and comfortable. It had everything you expect to have in a room.. The continental breakfast was what you would expect as well, They had just blacktopped the parking lot, so we came in the back way.. The price was nice, and I would stay there again..

This is my go to basic hotel. Very reasonably priced. No pool so there are no screaming kids running up and down the halls. Super comfy beds and a nice variety of pillows. Sadly this nice little hotel is starting to show some wear and tear. Scuff marks on the walls. At some point the showers were resurfaced and now that surface is peeling. The corners behind the bathroom door need a serious cleaning. It needs a refresh. The drawer in the credenza would not stay shut. Also this was the first time that I had a problem finding someone at the front desk. When I checked in there was a sign stating I should go around the corner to the laundry room. When checking out the woman that was in the breakfast room came over to print me my bill. I checked in at 2pm which is early. Stated check in is 3pm. The front desk was concerned that there wasn't a room ready at 2pm. I find it hard to believe that every room in this hotel was dirty one hour before check in time. One positive note---this was the first time I have eaten the breakfast. It was quite tasty. Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs. They also offer a variety of muffins and pastries, cereal and of course waffles. I have another stay booked for August. I am hoping they take care of some of the upkeep issues.

The bed was very comfortable. Everything as in order and thought was put into the cleanliness. The staff could not have been nicer. Thank you for making my visit so relaxing and comfortable. I appreciated being able to ask many questions in which the staff was able to help me.

I stay at this hotel every time i come to Chicago area (for the past three years anyway). I’ve never had any issues until today. I arrived around 5 pm after a long day drive from Alabama and encountered a very rude arrogant clerk (Belen, if that’s really her name) who advised she couldn’t accept my company credit card because it didn’t have my name on it. Ok, i get it, there is a lot of fraud and deception in this world today but i was driving a company vehicle with the company name clearly posted on the doors. I asked her to telephone the manager for a decision since she clearly lacked common sense. I heard her lie to the manager and stated i called her an idiot and that i was being hostile. I called the “manager” Mr Patel who was not willing to help and hung up on me. As of 6:30 pm, my reservation has not yet been canceled. I am a Choice Hotels Diamond Member and travel all around the country and NEVER have any issues of this magnitude. Ill be filling a complaint with Choice Hotels Group asap. Is this what customer service has become?
