Stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a business trip & will not be returning. The rooms are dated and dirty. There were small shaved hairs in the bath and stuck to the shower wall. There was only one sheet of toilet roll left - i assume this had not been changed when the previous guest checked out. The bed was comfy which was the only plus. I ate in the restaurant on the first night and breakfast in the morning - both were awful and came within 5 mins of ordering. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

Bed was very comfy, but everything else was pretty awful. This includes: - the bedroom contained an ironing board but no iron, and I was passed around about 4 different members of staff before being huffed and puffed at and essentially ignored when I asked for one - didn't think it was too much to ask... - there was no phone in my room - when I went to reception to enquire about said iron, I was waiting for a good 10 minutes before I gave up waiting and went to find someone - our room ran out of shower gel in the container attached to the wall on the first night of our stay, and this wasn't replaced during the length of our stay - we had ordered taxis to take us to an event, and wanted to re-arrange them. This caused complete chaos, as the reception couldn't remember who they had booked them with, and spent about half an hour trying to find out. Once they managed to find out, it was too late to re-arrange, and we had to pay for the taxi even if we didn't need it any more Essentially, the bed was great, but everything else seemed completely unorganised and poorly run.

Have eaten in a number of Hungry Horse branded restaurants over the past few years. This one is my local on and my 1st choice for a family meal. Good food for a fair price, decent size portions and delivered fairly promptly

We arrived slightly later than anticipated because of heavy traffic from Cornwall but were welcomed warmly by Carly (receptionist). Our room was on the ground floor (very fortunate as we both have mobility problems. Our room was lovely, quiet, and the bed was wonderful, best night's kip we have had in ages. We decided to have a meal at the Wee Waif that evening and again the staff were so pleasant, the meal of steak was tasty and reasonably priced. The next day my brother and his wife joined us at the hotel for lunch pre the wedding at Binfield Heath. Again the staff were extremely friendly and our coffees and lunch were both tasty and reasonable and served promptly. The next day was checking out day for us, we could have stayed longer we were enjoying the break so much. Perhaps next time the stay will be longer as this hotel was stress free for us old codgers. The only negative was the shower over the bath which was difficult for us to get in and out of, but we managed. Thankyou Wee Waif for a lovely break.
