We stayed here when dropping off my daughter at Northwestern for her first year of college. It was a quick 15-minute drive. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and clean. Very light and airy with nice amenities like a coffee maker, several lamps, desk, plenty of drawers, fridge, and outlets next to the bed. The bathroom was sufficient but not luxurious. Housekeeping is by request which seems kind of standard right now. I grabbed extra towels when needed from housekeeping. The attached restaurant is nice but the service was meh. They couldn't seem to remember or get things right. Pretty much the same as everywhere else right now in a post-COVID world.
We stayed in this hotel for three night. The room is spacious and clean. The location is perfect! Everything that you might want is around you; Old Orchard Mall, breakfast restaurants, fine restaurants, ..etc
Close to restaurants and shops. Everyone was very friendly. Large room and service was very good. Had soom issues with room smell but front desk they took care of it. Wifi was good and bad but its all great. Overall my stay was excellent and perfect. :-)
We had an excellent experience at Doubletree. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very clean and well maintained. The location was convenient and easy to access. The front desk staff were very friendly and prompt. We were very comfortable and felt well taken care of during our stay.
It's a very old property, but they have attempted to keep it clean and fresh. The age is nowhere more evident than the HVAC. Knob was broken off, so there was no way to control temp. TV only worked sometimes. Pipes visible under sink. Other cons were: No bathroom exhaust fan. Bathroom lights too dim to see reflection in mirror. Toilet paper roll on wall nearly impossible to reach from toilet. Bath towels heavy but scratchy. Room looked out on roof, nothing else. No free breakfast or even fruit/cookies anymore - now breakfast costs $12. Pros: Great location is walking distance to stores, many restaurants and large mall. Hotel is clean. Staff polite. Decent sized room. Bed was comfortable. Four large pillows of differing fill on each bed. Comforter felt like lead blanket. (Only a problem because no thermostat.) Two USB ports on nightstand for each bed (once you find them.) Pro or Con: Hotel very busy with several conferences and events. Free parking, but shared front lot was nearly full. Shower was easy to operate with only one knob, a real plus - I just wish it was marked with Hot & Cold. I did not have a chance to check out any amenities, but seniors seemed to like the attached Char House. Summary: Last visit to town I stayed in a motel for $69/night and was surprisingly satisfied. This trip the motel was sold out so I paid $169/night at the Double Tree. It's probably worth the extra cost - especially if you can use the amenities. Tip: Just pack your own lunch, or walk next door to the grocery.…
The hotel staff was very supportive. The location is great with close proximity of market. Rooms were very clean and room Space was good. Oven was not available in room but was available at reception.
THIS POST IS FROM MY STAY WITH MY DAUGHTER, THE HOTEL HAD THE AUDACITY TO RESPOND THAT SHE SHOULD CALL THEM. AND OF COURSE NEVER EVER ABLE TO GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE. IT SHOULD BE THE HOTEL RESPONSIBILITY TO REACH OUT AND CORRECT THIS GROSS NEGLIGENCE!!!! ""Stayed that was prepaid with Expedia, hotel charged me again on check out and never refunded the money. Expedia was gracious enough to refund me the money but the amount was short $20. Hotel was to refund that $20 but instead charged me $40 lol. Never able to get anyone from the hotel on the phone. PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. !!!!!! Will never stay again and will post this review everywhere.""
Customer service is very poor which impacts stay. Checked in and requested room cleaning / service at time of check in. They asked me for a time which I provided (noon). The following day we left the room and made sure to remain out of the room. We returned to find the room had not been touched. At 3 PM we had no one come to clean the room this I called the desk to enquire and was told that they would call housekeeping and let me know what happened. Housekeeping showed up at the door and said “here are your towels” and “do you have trash for me”. I then asked are you going to come in and clean the to which he replied that he would ask his manager. I return yo the front desk and asked to speak to the manager (Rob Watson). He informed me that he took the initial call from me. I explained the situation and he said that he would call again. I asked for his business card and he informed me that he didn’t have one. I asked for his contact info and he provided me with it. I walked away only to discover that he provided the hotel name, address, and phone numberbit didn’t provide his name. I return to the desk to retrieve his name. Look I realize that the hospitality service is short staffed and housekeeping isn’t done unless requested but can the hotel at least fulfill the request when made ? Can they actually clean the room and not simply deliver towels? Can the manager actually own the request and when not completed at least provide his name when request? Can the hotel provide the manager with business cards? Come on folks.…

A religious convention complete with band and singing starting at 8am under my room. An employee walking in room while my wife is in shower. Terrible service and management doesn't care. Longtime Hilton diamond supporter but this place is a nightmare.
