Bed it’s the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. Rooms are tired and in desperate need of renovation. My husband picked this place because the location was convenient. I only enjoyed the mall next to it.

We stayed here because we were visiting family in the area-we wanted to stay an extra few days to enjoy Chicago. We were greeted very excitedly by a VERY sharply dressed man in the lobby, who I later found out was the manager of the department-Mr. Rob Walton. He was funny, engaging, and even cracked some jokes with my wife and I when we were checking in. You can tell his staff loves him-because every time we sat in the lobby enjoying our coffee, he was making them laugh and engaging with the guests, and making them laugh too! It was like he was putting on a show! It was great! My wife and I loved him. He's very entertaining and very charismatic. Perfect for his industry. We overheard his front desk staff speaking about him the next day when we were getting coffee...he was not there, and it was so nice to hear how much they like him. A sign of a good, and respected manager. At check out-we were about 4 people deep in line. We witnessed a lady screaming at the front desk agent and Rob jumped in and quickly rectified the situation. He handled it beautifully. ( we could hear the whole conversation). I'm in hospitality management myself (25 years) and I know good management when I see it-and he's one of them. We made a point to walk up to him before leaving and complimented him on his sharp attire and his generosity. He could not have been nicer. Jamesons Charhouse-incredible food and Frank the bartender is amazing. He made us laugh all night long. Dennis the manager, was great also! We will be back in Chicago this summer-and we will be staying here again. The housekeeping staff is wonderful-they are friendly, efficient, and kept our room looking great for the 4 days we were there! Thank you to Rob & Staff for a great, and entertaining stay! Frank & Lisa.

Stay was good. Room was okay, very tight & small bathroom. Filipina front desk was very nice to help us with our questions. Forgot her name! But she was very nice!! Check in was smooth as well. Only thing was.. the Elevator and Hallways smelled like STRONG Weed for the 2 nights we stayed there!!

From the minute you walk in the front door the concierge and staff make you feel like family. They take the time to ask about you and your stay. The Double Tree North Shore truly cares about their patrons and goes out of their way to make your stay as relaxing as possible. I travel for work and work night shift. They were so kind to let me check in early to get some rest. The rooms are clean and well appointed. I had a mini fridge, coffee maker, large TV, premium toiletries, and a bed so comfortable I never wanted to leave it. Also the shopping mall is right next door and the hotel has a delicious restaurant attached. Instead of doing away with their breakfast for their patrons during the pandemic like many hotels they offer you a sack breakfast bag with drinks, muffins, and various snacks! The door to your room and the remote is sealed with a memo letting you know they have been sanitized for your health and safety. You can not go wrong by choosing to stay at The Double Tree North Shore!

There was hair and visible stains on my pillow cases, sheets and hair in the bathtub. No apology or acknowledgement was received from management during my six days there. I was apart of a group for business travel. Several other colleagues voiced multiple issues while being there also.
