It was a difficult decision to travel during a pandemic, but we knew we'd comply with all rules, and we decided to drive rather than fly. We got in early and were exhausted. Thankfully, we were allowed to check in early. That is one good thing about this place and the final thing is location - close to expressway into Chicago. The room was tiny. Beds small. We were lied to at check-in. Website says kids eat free, however at check-in 'Linda' acted as if she had no idea what we were talking about. Pool in picture on website is closed (for good reason - pandemic), but even if it was open, it is old. I was told I could get a cot earlier in day, but had to go to work. I called when I got back in room, and some guy said Skokie fire code doesn't allow it. If true, fine. But, there is no way this place should have Suites in name. These are tiny, overpriced rooms that look old. To end on a good note, we did get towels/soap delivered to room since they weren't in room. Also, we've checked off another place we no longer need to stay. Choose wisely folks, even during a pandemic service is lacking and this is a shame because we want these businesses to thrive. This one hotel doesn't get it obviously. Back to Marriotts we go. IHG - smh.

I thought the overall check in process was very professional and safe. All the amenities were explained and I was properly directed to my room. The room was a bit smaller than advertised and the pillows very soft. But, the bathroom was clean and shower was hot. The TV was perfect for watching a movie and the location was ideal for where i needed to go.

Came again for our annual event Jan 17 - 19. I must say the remodeling looks fantastic. The new beds in the room extremely comfortable. The only issue was the exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working. Maintenance and I could never connect, so I let the desk know upon check out. As usual the Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast buffet was spot on. Only problem was no butter on the table for toast and waffles. I'm sure it was merely an oversight, and I was provided it upon request. Holiday Inn, you've out done yourself. I look forward to next year.

We resorted here as this was the only place available when our flights home were cancelled. There was urine on the toilet. Bodily hair in the bed. The rooms were tiny. The Bar/Restaurant was very slow. Waitress hated her job. We ended up standed in Chicago for 2 additional days, but we refused to stay there. Would not stay here again.

We stayed 6 days over Thanksgiving week. Choose a room that is away from the center of the pool area and bar. The bar plays music late into the night and the base booming can be heard all over. They did turn it down when our friends complained. They were in an exterior room over looking the pool. We had a room way back in the building and couldnt hear the bar. However on Sat night there was a party of about 50 people right next to our room. At 2 am we had to move to another room to get sleep. They compensated that night. The staff however an the cleaning staff were friendly and the house keeping was excellent...We asked it they have a 10pm late not quite policy and we were told not really...they need one!
