My partner and I spent three nights at the B&B and were greeted with prefessionality but also with a lot of warmth. The two owners are a lovely couple who have travelled the world and came to Polinago by choice. Their approach is therefore that of someone who wants to feel good and make others feel good. Following this motto, they run a house with all the necessary comforts for a stay in the Modenese Apennines. The village doesn't offer much but the surroundings are pleasant and suitable for those who love walking. We recommend it to those who are not in a hurry and want to discover a corner of Italy with a touch of internationality.

Fantastic setting, the beautiful town of Polinago is like a fairly tale. Full of character, surrounded by forests and lovely vistas. A truly relaxing experience. David and Winn were very welcoming and generous with their time, and their catering was fantastic - if you want the real-deal Italian experience, this is it!

We were extremely lucky to find this place for at least three reasons:
1. Winnie is a living wikipedia of the area. Had it not been for her,we would have no idea what to do (for sightseeing).
2. Breakfast is superb.
3. General good vibe of the place and friendliness of the hosts.
Do yourself a favour and go there. The rooms are super clean, beds are comfortable, they even have a shared place to hang out in the evening.

Thanks Winnifred and David for a wonderful stay at Cherry House BnB. You are great hosts and know exactly how to look after your guests. Our room was spacious and cosy with ensuite bathroom, an excellent nights sleep. The view to Monte Cimone was outstanding. Home made meals and breakfast topped off the stay. We'll see you again for sure.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Winnifred and David at Cherry House in Polinago.
Cherry House is situated in an authentic Italian town.
This is what I enjoyed because I was able to experience the real Italian way of life.
I recommend this for travellers wanting a rest from the big cities. The hostel is very pleasant in decor and furnishings are perfectly put together.
The standard of cleanliness is excellent. My room had a wonderful view of Mount Cimone.
There is history to become acquainted with in this part of Italy. This was a very interesting aspect of my stay.

We ( a mature couple) stayed at Cherry House in May and found our hosts, Australians David and Winnifred, to be gracious and very accommodating. We arrived at Modena by train and they came and picked us up. The drive to Polinago was beautiful as we ascended into the hills with Mt Cimone still covered with snow. David and Winnifred were very knowledgeable about the area, making the trip to Polinago most interesting. It was a delight to be part of a small Italian community without the bustle of city traffic. The markets which are held every day in nearby larger towns will enable you to have retail therapy if that is your need. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and one opens on to a balcony. Winnifred is fluent in Italian and this was handy when they took us to the heart of this part of Italy. The wine and food, both at Cherry House and locally, is superb.

For anyone looking for a tranquil spot to relax in an Italian village not on the mainstream tourist trail but as beautiful and engaging as any of the better know locations, Cherry House is a perfect choice. Word of mouth led me here for an all too short stay. As promised, Win & David made it easy for me to get off the beaten track and enjoy a taste of the local food and lifestyle. Great hosts, very comfortable accommodation….I will definitely be back!

We stayed at Cherry House for two nights and were treated like family. The room was very large, everything was very clean. The beds were soft and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect, we even got Vegemite!
The owners assisted us with plans for things to do and generously showed us around, even taking us for a Sunday drive and a long walk to see the local country side.
We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Cherry House. It is worth a trip from the other side of the world to experience first- hand the local views, culture and cuisine shared with great passion by the hosts, David and Winifred.

Winnifred and David welcomed me into their lovely property in Polinago. Polinago isn't anywhere close to a big city and that's why I liked it. I had pre-arranged my pickup from the airport with them and from there on in I worked with Winnifred and David who helped me arrange tours around the area. My suggestion is to call them and have a chat about what they have to offer. I couldn't have wished for better hosts.
