We spent one night here while travelling to Merzouga across the desert and had a truly wonderful evening. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfy bed and fully operational bathroom. Dinner was excellent: a fine salad followed by a tajine of beef that was as tasty as we have had in fancy Marrakesh restaurants. The staff could not have been more friendly and an impromptu (?) party started up so we all got to dance off our overeating. We were fortunate to be here when there were none of the petrol heads who amuse themselves driving noisy vehicles across the desert at top speed and leaving clouds of dust behind: signs were that this is one of their favorite places.
We are a humanitarian association composed of 30 people and we have been in Ouzina Rimal as in our house. The treatment has been exceptional and the place is heavenly. We will definitely be back next year.
Kasbah style riad in the Sahara right next to Ouzina Dunes, arranged through Rove Morocco Travels. The dunes are much smaller and off-road on the Paris-Dakar route. They were beautiful amongst the settings of the Blue Mountains, pristine with camel and desert wildlife tracks; no atv tracks. It was wonderful wandering these beautiful dunes in the late afternoon and early morning light; so tranquil and amazing colors in the middle or nowhere. And we had the dunes all to ourselves! The rooms were clean, rustic and nicely decorated with local art; including dining hall. Next to our room we had the nest of the desert sparrow (only found in the Sahara Desert) and a sign of good luck for the Berbers and Tuaregs, which also gave us great photo ops. We also heard crickets in the evening. Our tajine dinner was delightful. Wifi is available in the dining area and sporadic in our rooms. We would like to recommend screens for the windows since it was quite warm in the spring evening. Overall, we had a pleasant one night stay.…
I usually hand pick my accommodation after extensive research, however this was chosen for us by Tenere Tours as part of our desert tour and I was pleasantly surprised!! In the middle of nowhere, but worth the trip!! Has a wonderfully rustic authentic feel, blends into the surrounding desert beautifully. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and delicious home cooked supper! What more can you ask for?
We stayed at the Ouzina Rimal in May 2014 as part of a private tour with Mohamed, Man of the Moroccan Desert Tours. The lovely kasbah-like inn is situated in a most beautiful remote desert setting at the foot of giant red crescent sand dunes at Taouz on the Merzouga to Ouzina Piste in south-west Morocco. It is really smack in the middle of the Sahara, near the Algerian border, with no made roads and no settlements nearby. The inn and its surrounds exude a unique sense of peace and solitude. The panoramic desert views from the top of dunes are nothing short of sensational. The inn is decorated in bright warm traditional Berber furnishings. Our room was simple but adequate and spotlessly clean, and the food was very good. Our genial host and owner of the homely inn Mohamed Taouchikht made our stay very special. We would highly recommend the Ouzina Rimal. It was a truly memorable experience and one which people today rarely have the opportunity to witness.…

Very nice conditions and emphatic staff. The location and landscape is absolutely amazing. I recommend Ouzina Rimal to everyone who wants to live a new experience in the desert. Spend a night there, eat their traditional dishes and I believe you'll never forget this day!
I have spent one cool night here after New Year. Area around is really different compared to Merzouga desert. I had really comfortable room, designated Berber style. I wish i could stay longer and spend a night in desert tent as they looked really cool just outside hotel.
