Great B&B in Pontiac. Old style house with bedrooms converted to B&B rooms, with old fashioned decor but clean and comfortable. Very welcoming host (for those that know this place, I believe this current 'housekeeper' is someone new in the role, but she was an excellent host, no complaints at all). She also served an excellent breakfast - order what you want the night before and you can have what you want (within reason I guess). Only one room has an en-suite basin and toilet, all others share one, which is not ideal but I got lucky!
My wife and I stayed overnight before driving to Chicago after visting our friends in midland Mi, for our flight back to the uk. I have nothing but praise to heap upon this place and its owners who were wonderful hosts. the town itself is quaint, with lovely route 66 murals on a lot of buildings around the very quiet town.I could go on and on about how great this place is but if you are looking for a lovely quiet clean place to stay just try it, it's lovely. thank you three roses I wish you the very best. Oh and if you are driving back to Chicago, you can get on route 66 from here but that's another story
Having had a delayed flight meaning we were later than planned leaving Chicago but we couldn’t have had a better welcome when we arrived at this excellent B&B in Pontiac. The room was just what you would expect and very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely first class & cooked to order, no bear claws here! The hosts Tricia & Jimmy really made the stay absolutely great & I would have no hesitation in recommending the Three Roses to anyone.
Flew from Phoenix to Chicago, met our traveling companions who drove from Maryland as we cruised RT 66 from Chicago to St. Louis. The 3 Roses was one of many places we stayed at during our trip and I have to say the nicest. It was my understanding that the mother-daughter team that runs the facility recently purchased the property but they are doing one heck of a great job. As many of the reviewers stated the breakfasts are fantastic. You order what you want the night before and the owners cook it specially for you. If I had one negative it would be that the bathroom on the second floor did not have the complimentary little soap bars and little shampoo bottles that you see in all the hotels.
What a lovely, quaint place to stay. We stayed in the rose room. Very clean and tidy with ensuite toilet and wash sink, the bathroom and shower was shared down the hallway - this was not a problem for us. The breakfast was delicious and we sat with another guest couple and chatted, the food was lovely - we could have anything we wanted with prior notice the lady owner would cook whatever we requested. We were not rushed to finish our breakfast and when we asked for local information Tricia was very knowledgeable and happy to help us enjoy Pontiac and the local area. We would definitely come and stay again.
