Lovely house and lovely owners Colin and Lynda. They couldn't be more helpful, the breakfasts were fantastic. The guest house is on the A303 so be prepared for some noise but you do get used to it and it makes easy access for all the local attractions. We would have no hesitation in recommending the old rectory and we will... More

This was our 2nd B&B in the UK and was simply fantastic. From the warm greeting upon arrival to the exquisite breakfast the next morning, we have never felt so welcome and really wanted to stay longer!! The room we had was perfect for the 2 children and ourselves and we had a lovely, comfortable.. no, beautiful room to sleep... More

This is the second time we have stayed here, we love the area and the sweet b & b feel to it. Colin and Lynda are extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the two local pubs are nice as well. We visited Longleat really close and convenient.

My wife and I decided to break our journey to Devon by booking a night at the Old Rectory, what a great decision! The house is beautifully maintained and Linda and Colin were great hosts. Having arrived later in the evening than planned thanks to terrible weather conditions our hosts prepared sandwiches for us both. After a good night sleep... More

We stayed here again fir two nights mid March 2016 and once again, could not fault it. On arrival the 5table was already laid for a pot of tea which was very welcoming. Every effort has been put into this small but beautifully put together B&B. The rooms would put many an hotel to shame and the service and friendliness... More

Lovely old house. Immaculately kept throughout. Great family who are wonderful. Hot mince pie and pot of hot tea on our arrival was an especially kind and lovely treat. Warm , Clean and comfortable. Fabulous breakfast too. Nothing too much trouble.

My husband and I along with our 2 year old daughter stayed for 2 nights in their family room while we visited Longleat's Chinese lantern festival. I booked 2 months before our visit. I booked the family room which consisted of a separate room (also can be used as a small sitting room) for our daughter. Linda (the owner) rang... More

Colin was the ultimate host when we arrived late night with a very tired baby and almost teenager. The cup of tea I had that night stands out as one of the best in my life because I felt so relaxed. Beautiful decor, extremely comfortable beds, spacious, immaculately clean and a beautiful garden to look out the windows onto. Breakfast... More

We stayed at The Old Rectory for 1 night in the Salisbury suite and it was great. We loved the fact that there were 2 rooms as it meant the kids were able to sleep undisturbed. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The hosts, Linda and Colin were extremely helpful and were great with the kids making us... More

The Old Rectory is a delightful B&B and Linda and Colin are wonderful hosts. They provide a wonderful breakfast, everything you could want, you will never go hungry. The room we stayed in was at the top of the house and sported a french colonial theme, everything was well looked after with plenty of room. Even though the Rectory in... More
