No shades on the large, but beautiful view of the river/bridge. Too bright at night and too sunny after 5:30 a.m. to sleep. Front desk had no solution except to say "you will see your bill in the email---which they never sent. Only one elevator worked. Staircase dusty. I use a Cpap and the filter turned black after 4 hours of use! Breakfast consisted of choice of granola bar, juice, packaged oatmeal (sparse for a "boutique" The shower was strange. Very cold as only a two foot wide glass separated the shower from the room= water sprayed everywhere.

For a property described as a "boutique hotel" it was very reasonably priced. The rooms were lovely with very up to date bathrooms. Leaving the outside wall brick is a nice touch and adds to the historic feel of the place. The lobby is gorgeous and has a seating area that is a library. The breakfast was different than I had previously -- you left a doorhanger with your choices by midnight and between 6-9 you could go down and pick up your breakfast. The lobby coffee was good as well. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will return here next time I'm in Peoria. Thank you for a great stay!

There wasn't anything too special about the hotel, but the staff was ultra friendly and helpful. The lobby is unique, so that's a nice take. The rooms were just fine, nothing special, but not awful -- bed was a little hard for my liking. Shower was a bit odd without a door, but that's all athesteics, so no knocks there. Not the best views in the city, but no knocks there because I go to a hotel for sleep. Overall, I would probably stay there again because it's cheaper than others. I would have preffered a more comfortable bed, but besides that, great bang for the buck. Pro tip: if you order food, make sure that whoever it is calls you -- there's a tendency to just leave food outside the hotel, which is the most ridiculous thing ever. Not the hotels fault, just the delivery services fault.

From the room, to my comfy bed, the cute lil select your breakfast door hanger, to the staff, Adria & Shawanda the Manager, I mean I felt so blessed to be there. Even the guest were friendly. The location was also amazing, right in the heart of downtown and everything! Just a cpl things that I was sad about: The restaurant being closed-no fault of the hotel at all The carpet Other than that Beautiful aesthetics! I'll be back!

My room was nice. The library in the lobby was really the signature piece of the hotel. The front desk guy in the evening was very friendly. The room was clean too. My bed was comfortable and the bathroom was tidy.

Stayed overnight during a road trip across the country. I gave 2 stars as the check in staff were kind, competent and friendly. The second star is for the cleanliness of the room by cleaning crew, excellent. The room was tired and shabby. Na resemblance whatsoever to photos in ad. If you could get past the peeling paint in bathroom, cracked sink and stained carpet, you could enjoy the view of the bridge and river. Truly, the lobby has many appealing features like old woodwork and books. However, this hotel is very sad and tired.

We were passing through on our way to IA. I wish we could stayed longer and do some sightseeing. They used to have a restaurant that now is permanently closed. The restaurant is gorgeous. The accommodations were great, room very clean and comfortable. However, you can hear the outside traffic noise at night. Grab to go- breakfast due to COVID. Staff very friendly. The lobby is beautiful- they have a small library.

First impressions aren't the best; building a little tired, parking lot at odd angles, lobby kind of dark. But when you look a little closer, the lobby is gorgeously paneled and detailed in hardwoods with a rich, traditional feel unlike the sterile or cookie cutter lobbies seen elsewhere. The front desk also has an old-world feel and the staff was very helpful. The elevators show their age but they're solid with no hiccups. The hallways and rooms are bright. They've been updated and are very well appointed. Good water pressure and temp. Not a lot to complain about

This hotel is an okay property. My room was clean, but not pristine. The large window looked out over the parking lot and nearby garage and the interstate is nearby. There was a lot of traffic noise, and I was worried at check-in that this would be a problem. However, during the night the traffic was not as noisy and I turned on the fan for white noise. Outside noise did not bother me. The bathroom had upgraded fixtures, but the sink drained very slowly and the toilet seat was peeling, which did not look good, made me wonder about hygiene in general, but did not make it unusable. Water pressure and hot water were good. I like that the rooms have a microwave and refrigerator. I did turn my fridge up too high and ended up freezing everything unintentionally. The hardest thing for me to deal with during my stay was the fact that absolutely no staff wore masks, and this hotel is located in an area with 50% or less of the population vaccinated, and COVID-19 hospital admittances are currently rising in Peoria. No staff member had evidence of having a mask in their possession even. I would not have booked this hotel if I had known that. When I checked in I asked the maskless front desk clerk if anyone on the hotel staff wears a mask, and she said they were pretty lenient on that. I asked if housekeeping staff wore masks while in the rooms, and the clerk outright lied and said yes. However, the next morning I was forced to get on the elevator with 2 housekeeping staff, neither of which wore a mask. (By the way, only 1 of the 2 elevators were working.) I immediately felt unsafe and exposed. I know the cleaning protocols are just as lenient as the masking protocols, and it didn't make me feel much better when I realized the staff were taking trash bags filled with "clean towels" up to the floors they would be cleaning. If they are tossing your clean towels in giant trash bags and throwing the bags around on the floor before they make it to your bathroom, where were those towels before they were put in the bags?? Thank goodness my stay was for 1 night only. By the time I checked out, I felt this hotel was one of the worst places you could choose to stay during a pandemic. I feel the hotel management is putting their staff and guests at risk, and the lenient (ie, no mask) policy says so much about the total disregard they have for the health, safety, security and well-being of any person who interacts with this business. It also epitomizes the lackluster cleanliness and general state of being in "renovation" with things only half done or sloppily completed. This could be a very nice place to stay with a great downtown location, cool brickwork accents in rooms, and nice upgraded touches in the rooms, and they are so close to having that. Unfortunately, I will never stay here again, and I will never recommend anyone else stay at the hotel even when the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us.
