If your travels take you near central IL or IN .... or if you live there or in Chicagoland and need a peaceful getaway .... we highly recommend TimberCreek. Even in mid-January we enjoyed the beauty of the woods and countryside with the long, wooded lane to enter the property and the rushing creek within view of our room. The...

We don't understand why anyone could rate this B&B any lower other than a 5 stars. We have stayed here twice and were overjoyed both times. Connie is a very sweet, caring lady who keeps this place absolutely immaculate. Our breakfast in the sunny dining room was a pure delight. This place is totally relaxing. We WILL return and recommend...

The owners told us he does not serve people in the LGTBQ community. I asked why and he said they have the right to refuse anyone. How can they legally discriminate against anyone? Is this normal in Illinois?

Disgustingly dirty room. Hair in the tub blood on sheets. Do t stay here. Management didn't care when brought to their attention. Was told they don't change sheets between guest unless it's over a three day stay. Just awful. The owners should be educated in how to properly serve their guest.

This is a beautiful home in the country with a fantastic fire pit outdoors. Lovely appointed rooms and a delicious breakfast. Fireplace in common area and in our room. Close by a nice wine trail for an adventure.

My wife and I stayed in the Ivy Room for a couple of nights, highly recommend it. Room was very spacious, my wife loved the king size bed and mattress. She slept better than she sleeps at home. Breakfast was really good with a personal touch. Everything was very clean. It's a ways from Champaign (30 minutes) but is worth...

Have stayed at Timber Creek about 10 times since it opened. Rooms have always been very clean and exactly as advertised. Common areas are spotless and well decorated especially for the holidays. Breakfasts are always good, have enjoyed the quality and variety as well as the dining area. On colder days the outdoor fireplace on the patio in nice. Beware...

This place looked lovely in the pictures, so my wife and I booked a weekend away from Chicago. What a mistake! The rooms are very small, overcrowded with stuffy old furniture and everything is dirty. They may have a cleaning staff that comes in once a month, if that often. Even the sheets were dirty. The man who runs the...

We stayed in the rustic cabin. It was clean and comfortable. I didn't realize from the website that one of the beds was in the loft, which makes the place feel a little more spacious. There is a ladder to get up and down. As advertised, there is no running water in the cabin. The plumbing is in the outhouse...

The owner, Jim Walder, is unbelievably rude and miserly. For someone who likes to claim Christian values he is more concerned with money than hospitality. He's in the wrong business, and his mean spirit did a lot to upset my hard-earned vacation. I made changes to my booking a week before our stay, and Jim sent a revised bill to...
