Chateau Hostacov is a renaissance chateau hidden away in the centre of the Czech Republic. We offer accommodation in original rooms with period furniture in a very relaxed atmosphere. We are nestled away in our own park which guarantees you peace, quiet and serenity. Meanwhile the fairytale Zleby castle is only 5km away, and UNESCO heritage listed Kutna Hora is 15 min away by car.

In general the stay was OK, but I expected a bit more. Especially from the restaurant staff. Most of them were not so knowledgeable. In opposit, Ms. Jana at reception desk was super kind and helpful. As mentioned few times - restaurant offer is not big so for a week stay we had every food (some more times) and even there were stars, most of the food was OK, but I expected it a bit better in details (too salty vs. without salt in most cases). There is a nice play room and outside possibility for children and we used it a lot. Also some good places near for visiting.

We loved literally everything about our stay! LOCATION: Beautiful, secluded area with amazing scenery. Definitely completes the mission of a getaway from busy days in the city. ROOMS: unique, spacious rooms that make you feel like you are in a true castle. Despite the fact that I am not big fan of antique style, somehow it didn't worry me at all. Very comfortable bed, great view, quiet location, comfortable shower and a bathtub, very clean - what else to wish for? Really enjoyed our time there. STAFF: I don't know how they did it but every single team member was a gem - very kind, helpful and professional. We've been looked after like if we were kings and queens. Thank you guys! F&B: at the first glance menu does not seem to have the highest number of food items, but let it not discourage to try everything you find there. Each item on the menu was worth it! Bravo to the chef and again amazing staff. I was also honestly surprised by really great choice of whiskey - definitely was my highlight of the evening 🙂 Overall, it was amazing stay and definitely makes you want to come back! Thank you!!!

Beautiful castle close to Kutna Hora, about 70-80 km from Prague. My wife and I stayed there for one night and that was a marvelous experience – starting with a glass of prosecco. Quite nice! We really loved the castle: beautiful interior, stairs, library, ballroom, but above all – our suite, with a nice living part and a huge bedroom. Everything was furnished with the furniture from old times, big room with high ceilings, clean, and a very comfortable bed. We also walked around the castle although the weather was bad – a beautiful green area, a lot of trees, grass, with a little pond. We also had a delicious (and not expensive!) dinner, typical Czech food, but served with great style. All in all, this was an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

The Chateaux takes you back in time to another era where things move much slower. Found the place absolutely relaxing, and the staff friendly and accomodating. The rooms were were appointed with antique furnishings and added to the experience of going back in time. The iron claw bathtubs was to die for. The grounds were magical and offer different views to relax to. There is a fully fucntioning firsbee golf course as well, and I imagine a wedding there to be quite special. Its sits in the countryside tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but is close enough to Kunta Hora, 19km, and other sites that makes it the perfect base. I am already planning my next trip. My dog, a dalmation also loved the place. Only downside for me was there was no room service. There was a beautiful billiard room, home theater, library, and spa.

We stayed here before about 5 years ago, and it was actually better than the first time. The suite was spacious with 2 extra beds for the children that were comfortable, a large king size bed for the adults, a beautiful new bathroom with the added feature of a spa bathtub. The antique furnishings are beautiful, with close attention to detail for the soft furnishings. The children enjoyed the music and games room, as well as the swimming pool. Although there are no TVs in the rooms, there is a cinema room with a DVD player and DVDs. The grounds are lovely with many places to wander. Since it is situated in the countryside, it is very quiet and relaxing. Even though it was quite hot, the room remained cool. The breakfast is very good with a variety of items, and the possibility of selecting whatever type of eggs one would like. The staff are cordial, and the rooms kept clean. We ate one evening at the restaurant. It's a bit expensive, but the chef is amazing and the quality of food is excellent.

We stayed for approx. 5 days and it was one of the most relaxing breaks we have had in a veeeery long time The rooms are magnificent, and would be great either for a romantic stay or just to enjoy a splendid environment you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. The food from the restaurant within the building is excellent - fresh and varied breakfast complete with homemade jams, and fresh divine food for main meals. Highly recommended way to spend time away from the larger centres

Attended a 5 day conference prior to Christmas. Accompanied by kids. The Chateau has been lovingly restored and continues to evolve. Fabulous restaurant with careful oversight from hosts Meagan (a chef in her ow right) and Vojte. Their knowledge of the history of the Chateau and surrounding area and Kutna Hora is outstanding and their attention to detail unparalleled. Lots to do in the surrounding area of Bohemia. In the Chateau the well provisioned gym and games room keep more active participants happy. Walls are a wonderful gallery of art with many works of Judy Talacko that are purchasable on site. All in all a wonderful experience!

Me nan my husband got married in Hostacov in the summer of 2015- the day was magical and quality excellent compared to some UK venues our friends and family members got married in. Back to August 2016 when we spent our 1st year wedding anniversary there- again great hospitality- welcoming drinks and dinner with family. Little disappointed that menu has not changed much since our wedding- it's little bit of hit and miss- had one of the dished previously and it tasted better. Wine choice is excellent- really liked Australian white wine in particular- I believe it's their house wine. Worth adding that all the front staff speaks english. Chateau grounds are amazing- we just sat on the island, where we had ceremony, sipping wine at the dusk watching bats flying around. We love that chateau is in the middle of nowhere which is added bonus and great for relaxation. Chateau is getting refurbished every winter bit by bit- rooms are amazing- some of them have jacuzzi in the room- we stayed in blue room which is above the restaurant, jacuzzi is in the room and bathroom has massive shower. Slept like a baby. Breakfast is continental- it could do with improvement- nice touch with czech sweet pastry thought. Overall another great stay in Hostacov, can't wait for next time.
