Chateau Hostacov is a renaissance chateau hidden away in the centre of the Czech Republic. We offer accommodation in original rooms with period furniture in a very relaxed atmosphere. We are nestled away in our own park which guarantees you peace, quiet and serenity. Meanwhile the fairytale Zleby castle is only 5km away, and UNESCO heritage listed Kutna Hora is 15 min away by car.

We loved literally everything about our stay!

LOCATION: Beautiful, secluded area with amazing scenery. Definitely completes the mission of a getaway from busy days in the city.

ROOMS: unique, spacious rooms that make you feel like you are in a true castle. Despite the fact that I am not big fan of antique style, somehow it didn't worry me at all. Very comfortable bed, great view, quiet location, comfortable shower and a bathtub, very clean - what else to wish for? Really enjoyed our time there.

STAFF: I don't know how they did it but every single team member was a gem - very kind, helpful and professional. We've been looked after like if we were kings and queens. Thank you guys!

F&B: at the first glance menu does not seem to have the highest number of food items, but let it not discourage to try everything you find there. Each item on the menu was worth it! Bravo to the chef and again amazing staff. I was also honestly surprised by really great choice of whiskey - definitely was my highlight of the evening 🙂

Overall, it was amazing stay and definitely makes you want to come back! Thank you!!!

In general the stay was OK, but I expected a bit more. Especially from the restaurant staff. Most of them were not so knowledgeable. In opposit, Ms. Jana at reception desk was super kind and helpful.
As mentioned few times - restaurant offer is not big so for a week stay we had every food (some more times) and even there were stars, most of the food was OK, but I expected it a bit better in details (too salty vs. without salt in most cases).
There is a nice play room and outside possibility for children and we used it a lot. Also some good places near for visiting.

I discovered this place on website two years ago, during one of my business travel to Czech. As it is hidden among trees, villages, fields, it is not easy to get there. But if you find... you feel suddenly how you are moving to the past. At least one hundred years. Of course, these are computers and electricity and even WiFi, but atmosphere is real unforgettable. Royal size. Everything is very large, sometimes you need use both hands to open doors. Rooms are 4 m height.
After two years I returned there. Again during business trip and for one night only. But it gives me more relax than two full days in spa somewhere else. Seconds, minutes, even hours, run slower than usual during a day. But remember – don’t arrive there too late. It is not hotel for sleeping only.
You should be there three hours before sunset. Immediately after check in, make last cals and switch off your mobile and laptop. Look at your room, leave your luggage there and go to the park around. To see little lake with littlest island, where you’ll get by old small bridge (don’t afraid when you’ll see it, I am exceed 110kg... bridge survived). Later go to opposite side to see (from high wall view) bigger lake. One Czech beer is suggested there. And when sun is going red and hide into horizon, you can go to the restaurant. Don’t expect large choose. Even if only one proposal is available, you don’t need more, just take it. If you are lucky, it will be duck on Czech style, but everything else is delicious too... There are large choose of worldwide vines, but if you are there, take only Czech vine – Vinnice Kutna Hora. You’ll find inside additional taste of this region. Don’t eat too fast, try to recognise difference between this dishes and everything, you ate before this day and previous also. If you have additionally some nice person with you sitting on opposite, then you have all you need (I had).
Next day you should start again on small walk around before breakfast. After breakfast and morning coffee, you should spend at least 10 minutes in library. Even not to read one of old book stored there. Just to feel atmosphere of wooden room with a lot of books, maps and table with chess.
When you are leaving – don’t forget to put this place in your map. It helps you to find it again. As I was there after two years and I plan to be again in coming months...

Wojciech

Attended a 5 day conference prior to Christmas. Accompanied by kids. The Chateau has been lovingly restored and continues to evolve. Fabulous restaurant with careful oversight from hosts Meagan (a chef in her ow right) and Vojte. Their knowledge of the history of the Chateau and surrounding area and Kutna Hora is outstanding and their attention to detail unparalleled. Lots to do in the surrounding area of Bohemia. In the Chateau the well provisioned gym and games room keep more active participants happy.
Walls are a wonderful gallery of art with many works of Judy Talacko that are purchasable on site.
All in all a wonderful experience!

There we spent a great weekend and we rested. Accommodation clean, quiet (in the morning rooster was heard at night stream), attentive service, exquisite cuisine.
What we appreciated was the pool.
Chateau recommend to all who want to really relax and will not mind that they are not on wifi and have bad or no signal on your phone. With that, therefore, there is indeed a problem. We welcome it.

Threre is a small but clean pool. Great cuisine and very polite staff. Large assortment of wine. You can try discgolf in their 18 "hole" course.

Our son and his partner had their wedding at Chateau Hostacov in June 2015. Both families with wedding guests from many countries including Russia, Australia, UK, Czech Republic and Italy attended. We can't thank Megan and Vojta and their staff enough for the work they put into this big occasion. Everything went off without a hitch. The accommodation, food and attention to detail was awesome. Wedding guests stayed there before and after the actual ceremony and joined in many activities. We found no request was too much for any of the staff. So either for a getaway, or special occasion, corporate event or meeting we highly recommend this extremely professional and very friendly Chateau to all.

My son has just had his wedding at Hostacov and I can honestly say it was perfect. The warmth and friendliness of the staff, the excellent food and, most importantly, the attention to detail just could not be faulted. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Our heartfelt thanks to all the Hostacov team.

We spent a very nice weekend there celebrating two years as a couple. The chateau is located out of rush places, in an enchanted valley, close to it's own lake and creek. Rooms, furniture, hallways - all comfortable. Amaizing is club-style library/tablegames room, with major English literature in the shelves. Pianos for those who like to play or listen. Restaurant is perfect for those of you searching for a culinary experience in the middle of Bohemia. Overall experience is a very positive. We are alooking forward to spend more time here in Winter.
