This place is a gem. Nestled in lush rolling hills outside Cuzco, it envelops you in its warm, comforting embrace. Armando, the chef, prepares vegan dishes that would not be out of place in a 5-star London or New York restaurant. Friendly dogs follow you around the avocado plantation, and cats are waiting to ignore you when you return to the lodge for a lie-down in a hammock with a beer or glass of wine. It was the perfect end to an amazing two-week trip with Oda and her team.

This was my second stay at Andean Spirit Lodge, and I know it will not be the last. The grounds are so lovely, designed for contemplative pursuit, with paths winding up and along the hillsides that are covered in blooming flowers and trees. There are areas designed to sit and meditate, reflect or simply take in all the beauty of nature. There are many birds on the property, including a screech owl.
The bungalows have very comfortable beds with nice linens, spacious bathrooms and lovely views overlooking the gardens.
We spent 5 nights including Christmas at Andean Spirit Lodge, and it was a beautiful stress free holiday. Excellent food, so beautifully prepared and presented, followed by relaxing evenings visiting or reading in front of the fire in the Lodge.
Oda and Armando's warm hospitality is really outstanding; so genuine and generous.

We spent 2 nights at the Andean Spirit Lodge. Oda and Armando treated us like family !! The lodge is nestled in a hillside and you get a great view of the snow peaked mountain. It's a peaceful place and Oda has a wide variety of fruits growing in her garden including cherimoya !! Vegan meals were delicious and consisted of vegetables right from Oda's garden, Great place to stay especially if you want to go see the Condors. Highly recommend a stay at the Andean Spirit Lodge if you want to experience the non-touristy side of Peru.

Regrettably we were only able to stay for one night as we were passing through on our way to Cusco. The welcome was warm and expansive; the lodges were homely, comfortable and spacious with a copious supply of hot water which we welcomed after a long day on the road. Our supper was simply delicious and was prepared with fresh ingredients as we sat and chatted around the dinner table. The lodges are set in beautiful, wild and natural gardens, with flowers and fruits at every turn. The place was like an Eden. Breakfast was superb and we drank delicious home grown coffee. What a shame we couldn't stay longer.

The Andean Spirit Lodge is a very nice and peaceful place to stay. A very nice garden with lots of plants and trees. The cabins were quiet, nice. The vegetarian food as well as the coffee was excellent. Very friendly and interesting hosts to visit.

Limatambo exceeded my expectations in every way. Gracious and amicable hosts, delicious and wholesome meals, excellent yoga and meditation opportunities, in a country setting but with all the comforts of home (including the very comfortable beds and spacious bungalows). If you're looking to get away from the tourist trail, and appreciate the peace and quiet of the Andes, you must go to Limatambo.

Oda and Armando know a great deal about Peru and are happy to share. Their vegetarian, lifestyle and spiritual awareness are instructive for a harried traveler. Their guests are their first concern, and Oda insisted that we visit her clinic in town to see about altitude sickness. The main house is open to guests, and the cabinas are clean, roomy and comfortable with a great shower. Beautiful grounds and trails, and Peg got to practice yoga in their dedicated building. A very comforting and relaxing place.

We stayed as a family for just one night during a tour of Peru but would happily have stayed longer. We stayed with our 2 adult kids in a bungalow that slept 5 with a very comfortable double bed downstairs and three singles on a mezzanine floor above. The gardens were beautiful and interesting with a wide variety of home grown crops and a short trail to walk. The food was excellent and the hosts charming. I'd definitely recommend staying here for some top class relaxation

The Guesthouse is on very pretty grounds, but extremely isolated -- a couple of miles up a rough dirt road. Our room was quite nice, though "bed" was a mattress on the floor. Our impression from online information was that it was an active venue where we could expect to be part of a group of travelers with an interest in practicing yoga; my wife and I were the only guests for our three-day stay. We also thought that, in addition to daily yoga, there would be day trips to local villages, etc. Besides our arrival day and departure day, we had two full days there. We went on a great hike one day to some ruins and enjoyed a picnic lunch. The second day we were informed would be a day of rest! So other than morning meditation and late-afternoon yoga class, we were on our own for the day to hang out in the isolation. Some info in the rooms referenced laundry service. When we inquired, we learned we could pay to have them do it in a machine or they would provide us a bucket, brush, detergent and an outdoor faucet to do it ourselves. Vegetarian meals were all good and food was plentiful. Wifi was available in the main house but was not at all reliable. The husband of the couple who run this place was quite charming and enjoyable.
We expected a very different experience than what was provided. If you are seeking isolation, rest, solitude in a beautiful setting, this is a good spot. For the amount we paid, we had expected far more.

Thank you very much for taking your time to give us your constructive feedback. We are sorry to perceive several misunderstandings. You had booked your Yoga Holidays through another provider online who we obviously needed to pay commission to. It seems to us that you had not studied your holiday program in advance where the activities are outlined by day. Day 3 was a free day (apart from Yoga & meditation, this was clearly stated in the program). We had asked you what you wanted to do and offered you a half day hike to a local community in the area. You declined this, however, and stated that you would prefer to relax and make use of our hammocks. It is also noteworthy that you bought a package that was operated through a legally established tour operator practicing sustainable tourism, member of DIRCETUR, including private transport, entrance fees to the archeaeological sites visited on day 1 of your tour, a private English speaking guide, a double bungalow with private attached bathroom, vegetarian full board with fresh ingredients from the organic garden, the hike to the hidden Inka ruins of Choquechurco on day 2, with a picnic with home cooked food enjoying the fabulous panoramic mountain views from the comfort of deck chairs, private Yoga classes and meditation, administrative costs and all taxes. Being a small business, we do not cater for mass tourism and neither can we nor do we want to be compared with establishments and operators that charge the same or more based on group rates. Our services are highly exclusive and our prices are based on PRIVATE service, this means the more people book together the cheaper your holiday becomes on the basis of price per person. The remoteness of the place and the solitude experienced are an added attraction for most of our guests as it makes it easier for them to disconnect from the stresses of city life, enjoy the tranquility and peace conducive to introspection and meditation, appropiate for a retreat. With regards to our beds, we make no secret of the fact that they are (orthopedic) mattresses on the floor as everyone can appreciate in the potos on our websites. Admittedly our Internet connection is slow and precarious (in fact really amazing considering the remoteness of our place). WiFi is free of charge and only available in the main building. Laundry services are not included in the room rates. However, we are taking your criticisms about this very seriously and are considering changing our policy. In the future we might no longer give facilities for doing one’s own laundry, but instead we shall publish a list that stipulates the cost of having clothes washed (and ironed if requested) per item as is normal hotel policy. This will work out more expensive for our visitors, but ultimately it will give less rise for misunderstandings. We are very happy to hear that you appreciated the beauty of the guesthouse and its surroundings as well as our home cooked veggie meals. We could not agree more with you about the charms of the owner and we are so glad you found him enjoyable!

It rarely gets cold in Limatambo. The altitude is only 2,400 m, the same as Machupicchu. our Yoga hall is open air, but fully screened and usually quite warm during the day. First thing in the morning it can be fresh.
