Stayed at this Marriot property twice in the past 2 weeks for work. It was a Golden tulip before. Classified as 5 star, the resort appears popular with European charter tours and is about an hours drive from Salalah airport. Rooms are huge & decor is quite dated. They seem to have quite a few restaurants but there was only...

We came for a quick weekend getaway from Doha. We had heard many great things about the south of Oman and the main purpose of the trip was for diving but quickly the main focus of the weekend was just peace and quiet which the Marriott offered us and more. The hotel was occupied with large travel groups but the...

So after hearing over and over again how magical Salalah is I finally made the spontaneous decision to take a weekend get away. Since I have never been to Oman and I am a bit of a brand loyalist I decided to stay at the Marriott Resort. Overall, this hotel lives up to the Marriott brand experience. Everything wasn't perfect,...

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Beach is not clean and full of rocks and sea creatures. I saw a fly on the pastry in the Piano lounge. Bed was uncomfortable. Changed my drop off time without informing me. I shared my concerns with the management (Youssef / front office manager and Ayad / operations director). But they...

This Marriott was not up to Marriott standards in a number of ways. We were assigned to a chalet room some distance from the hotel. The chalet room was for 4 people, but the one bathroom was very small. Fortunately we were just a couple. There was a kitchen area with a kettle, but no actual kitchen, no crockery, no...

This hotel is by the coast around 6 k from the center of Mirbat, and about an hour from the Airport and surrounded by stony Desert. Without a car you are not going to be going very far, however we had a car and found this a good base for exploring. The hotel has a big pool, great shoreline (although...

It was very expensive hotel and did not offer free wifi to the customers who booked through other hotel booking website. It is far from Salalah, it takes one hour and drive way to/from there is very dangerous at night.

The resort is lovely. I would recommend this place to anybody for a relaxing holiday. It was clean and tidy with a good selection of food. We were traveling with a 2 year old and staff were very accommodating of this.
