We had such a lovely second visit at the Harvey House! Beth is so kind and accommodating, and her eye for style and interior decorating is just the top! The inn is absolutely gorgeous. It is quiet and peaceful, and the rooms have all the little amenities and details you could want. There is a lovely breakfast every morning, and Beth even made sure we had some special foods to accommodate our allergies. If you are a fan of softer mattresses, go for the Jimmy Stewart suite, if you like a firmer mattress go for the Chalet or the Golden Chest. The Jimmy Stewart is our favorite, but all of the rooms are beautiful! We loved this place so much we named one of our pet rabbits Harvey :)

Property's Favorite Review
This property is luxurious, homey and so well appointed. Some people want to be left alone and others want to be best buds with the owners. I am more middle of the road and the owner/manager provided the perfect blend. So walkable to points of interest in Oak Park and the train if one wants to go to downtown Chicago. We were lucky to happen upon this property. We hope to stay again in the Fall.

This was our second stay. We used to live in Oak Park and frequently return to visit friends and dentists and doctors. This is now our 'go to' place to stay. Immaculate. Eclectic decoration in excellent taste. Superb coffee and very good breakfast. Best of all a delightful hostess!

Beth is a wonderful host and Harvey House was just lovely! Comfy amenities and tasty continental breakfast of local fare were nice touches. The neighborhood was safe for evening walks and the El was close by, convenient yet not a noise issue. We used the gorgeous fireplace in Chalet Room and snuggled in for movies. When we had issue with the DVD player, Beth took care of it right away! We enjoyed our early anniversary weekend there!

Everything about the Harvey House is perfect, beautiful, immaculate and we appreciated the attention to detail. Our host Beth was helpful and friendly from the moment we booked until we checked out! I can't wait until we can visit Oak Park/Chicago area again.

We stayed here for 3 nights while we toured several Frank Lloyd Wright Homes. We hadn’t realized that several of the homes were quite the drive from Oak Park ( our bad). Once you leave the beautiful neighborhood traffic is a nightmare and the surrounding areas are not as safe as we had hoped. The home itself is lovely. We were able to enjoy the lovely outdoor area. The suite was spacious and beautifully furnished.

Don't pass up a chance to stay here. As a repeat guest it is a pleasure to be able to enjoy the luxury of this beautiful B&B. Not only is the building and grounds impecable, the hostess is thoughful and caring as well. Each room is exquisite and the location cant be any better. Restaurants are within walking distance as well as the train. We will return!

Harvey House is a beautiful century old home in Oak Park’s historic district. I’ve had the pleasure of staying there several times, each of which was enjoyable. Beth is a gracious and welcoming host, and the breakfasts are terrific. All the rooms are different, well-appointed, and immaculate. The living room and back patio are comfortable and quiet. If you’re looking for a unique place to spend a tranquil weekend, I’d encourage you to try Harvey House, I guarantee you’ll have a wonderful experience.

This is such an exceptional Band B. Never experienced anything so well out together. Feels Regal. Great value. Special hostess. Each room is exquisite and unique. The bathrooms were very modern and spotless. They shine. The living room and backyard are also peaceful and beautiful. This would be a great place for a small cooperate retreat or meditations retreat.

Oak Park is great and this is a wonderful location even if you want to take a train ride into Chicago!! Restaurant's in the area are fabulous. Beth was wonderful and the breakfast was great.... Enjoy!!
