Hotel's Favorite
Impressive from the moment you walk into the hotel. Elegant lobby and open area sets the stage. Personnel are extremely knowledge, helpful, and personable. A shout out to Kevin who got me and excellent room and provided some additional insight into the property. Special thanks to Krystel (manager) who walked me around the hotel to insure my first stay would be an experience. Exceptional dining facilities. I elected to dine out on the large balcony. Great food and perfect evening. Great workout room. I also ran in the morning. There is an exceptional trail system starting at Gnaue Mill, 2 miles from the hotel. Hotel is well built, so the rooms are quiet. Also, plenty of open space outside to enjoy sitting outside to talking a walk. I understand there is live music a couple nights a week. The hotel was beautiful. We were out in a perfect floor with a beautiful view of the gardens. I’m not typically a fan of food at hotel restaurants but since we were just getting off the plane, short for time and had this cool Skeleton Key in our room that unlocked a complimentary exclusive experience at the Polo Lounge our curiosity was peeked. The key unlocked two delicious cocktails. The Lavender Drake 75 had a grey goose base, lavender simple syrup, splash of St. Germaine, fresh lemon purée and topped with champagne. I remembered all of that because it was so delicious that I want to make it at home. My husband is an old fashion connoisseur, so he was looking forward to the different spin on the typical, an Maple Old Fashion. For him it was a bit sweet. The food was delicious. The wings were crisply and the mango habanero sauce was excellent. We were afraid that it would have been too spicy so we got it in the side but it was perfectly balanced. We sopped our wings up in it. The fries were nice and crispy. We were wowed by the filet sliders. We weren’t expecting actual pieces of steak but oh are we happy with what we got. The steak was fall apart tender and didn’t require any biting into, it just fell apart. The crispy onions and blue cheese dressing made for a perfect pairing and the bun was soft and buttery toasted. To top it all off was the service. Miguel was our waiter. He was pleasant, kind and very attentive. He made excellent cocktails and truly made our experience. So much so that when we returned to our hotel in the evening we sat at the bar waited on Miguel to prepare our cocktails. The other bartenders, Enrique, Erika and Alberto were also pleasant. Stayed two nights. Absolutely beautiful hotel. Complimentary valet parking. Hotel room had very comfortable beds, great shower with handheld and rain shower, steamer for clothes, and great coffee in room. Only complaint is that there is no door to bathroom and friend was trying to sleep while I got ready. Lights were distracting

We attended the Mother's Day Brunch at the Colonial Room. The staff was more than attentive. They were super friendly especially Miguel Andrew. It was a nice touch to receive a rose after our meal. The food selection was amazing! They had something for everyone for breakfast and lunch. It was delicious. And non stop mimosas.

This was my mother and aunts first time attending, as well as mine. We attended the Mothers Day brunch. We were assisted and treated with the upmost respect and exceptional service from the time we stepped out of the car. The best 2 service men were Miguel and Andrew. They made sure my elderly mom and aunt were comfortable and refilled drinks quickly. We will definitely be back to this hotel, hopefully for a wedding venue also. Thank you to EVERYONE for this lovely events for mommies!

My husband booked us to stay a night at the Drake in Oakbrook for Mother’s Day. I had such an amazing time. The room was beautiful and the Mother’s Day brunch was even better. We attended an anniversary champagne brunch and the service was exceptional. The man named Edy who took care of our table, made sure the vegan guest had assistance at the food buffets, with a very happy helpful attitude. He had a big smile and kept the mimosa glasses filled. I’m sure he makes every guest feel special and that really makes a pleasant difference. Thank you.
