The team at Le Méridien was so kind and welcoming. Anne at the front desk was so helpful with confirming multiple rooms. She was kind and patient throughout the whole process. Tom was very welcoming when we checked in for the stay. And although it was late in the evening he was still very upbeat and hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable with amazing pillows. Loved the illy coffee maker. Everything was perfect for a one-night stay. We also enjoyed breakfast on the 9th floor in the morning. The space is beautifully appointed with great views of the area. The service was prompt and attentive. The food was very good. I ordered the oatmeal and fresh berries which was nice and fresh, and my husband's avocado toast was the star of the show. Extremely flavorful. 10/10 Overall, I would highly recommend Le Méridien for business or family travel.…
Thank you for making my Granddaughter's 10th birthday extra special. LeMeridien Oakbrook, was the perfect addition to our all girls celebration. The location was great for shopping and dining. The room was clean and comfortable. Not only did you put a smile on this grandma's face, my daughter and Granddaughter were happy too. Thanks again 😀
Needed a place for 2 nights for a team meeting and this was the closest decent hotel. Located a 20 min or so drive from O-hare, not too difficult to get to but will be a pain getting into the city. Le Meridien has always been a bit hit or miss for me, most of their hotels are decent with relatively modern rooms and a more contemporary feel then Sheraton and Marriott. But this one was still on the slightly older side. Also located right next to a huge shopping mall (plus if you like shopping, minus if you want a nice view). Check-in at night was pretty straightforward, not too busy and front desk staff was nice and efficient. Lobby wasn't too busy or hoppin - no bar or restaurant or anything. Rooms were decently sized, beds comfortable, bathroom normal, could always be bigger but this is not really a luxury hotel. Sound isolation was decent and never had an issue with wifi. Overall, if you're in the area and need a place to stay, this will probably be fine. But nothing to write home about.…
We stayed at this hotel as it was close to RUSH for an early morning surgery. This is by no means a 4 star hotel. Maybe with COVID protocols it is a 3 star, but very underwhelming. The room was tiny, dated and the furniture looked like it was straight out from IKEA. The bathroom was a complete joke, a small vanity/sink area outside and then a bathtub/shower combo in the main bath. For these prices you should not have to live with a dingy shower curtain and crusty shower. Also, very poor lighting. No overhead lights and the light between the bed was broken, only one side worked. The desk lamp was there, but didn’t provide much light. Not sure how someone might actually work from this room as it was if you were hibernating in a cave. Also, all through the night sirens are going off and you hear them as the hospital is right down the street. This at best is a Courtyard or Fairfield Inn. Not worth the Le Meridian prices as it is not a luxury hotel at all! Go to the Drake or Marriott down the street for a better experience. Very disappointed.…
I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times when on business trips. The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the highway and is close to multiple restaurants. It never seems busy, but the parking lot is usually full. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the shower has terrific pressure. I do wish that breakfast started a little earlier.
Our family was unfortunately forced to visit Oak Brook the week of Christmas due to a family emergency and stay at Le Meridien, and I can't say enough good things about the service. Anne and Katie at the front desk were incredibly helpful as we kept unexpectedly extending our stay and changing the rooms we needed. Anne in particular worked with us to handle last-second changes, minimize room changes, and provide us with the best possible rooms to accommodate a changing cast of characters. Hotel is clean, restaurant is good, workout facility (with Peloton) was a godsend, and the teenagers could walk to the shopping center and movie theatre. The Le Meridien staff really helped us make the best out of a Christmas that could have been disastrous.
Was there for 5 nights while working in the area with 4 colleagues-I spent several hours calling all the hotels in the area to find out what each had, & didn’t have, for services & finally decided to stay here in large part because the restaurant had full breakfast being served in the morning & I’m very glad we did. Both breakfast & dinner were very good (especially the onion rings!), bed comfy, mini-fridge in the room, great staff @ the front desk & the lone bellman (no valet parking currently but guests can park in the valet slots right by the front door). Hotel is on the grounds of the Oak Brook Mall w/oodles of dining options if one wants something besides the hotel’s restaurant. Would absolutely stay again & this from a Hilton Diamond who has been booking away from Hilton properties because of the lack of services and amenities in their properties; despite what some overpaid consultants may be preaching, that stuff DOES actually matter!…
Stayed at the Le Meridien Chicago Oakbrook for one night when in town for a family gathering. This hotel is located in a shopping mall, so while surrounded by business the rooms are relatively quiet. Easy access to the 85 highway, but you don’t hear it. The room was simple but clean and functional. High-quality touches abounded, including an ILLY coffee machine and Malin&Goetz products. The bed was firm but comfortable and the room was well-sized for 2 people. Would recommend!
This year for my birthday I would be working so I decided to do a "staycation." I am pretty surprised at my experience. I gave them 3 stars for 2 reasons: The Location and the Staff. Stephanie, Larry, and Anna were awesome! The lady taking breakfast orders wasn't very nice but I'll chalk that up to a bad day. Nevertheless, I was so excited to stay at this hotel and it was truly underwhelming. I booked the King Executive Suite for myself and the Standard King for my mother. In fact, I extended my stay before we even got there...bad idea. I was in 326 and she was in 318 and both of our rooms were extremely loud each night (3 nights). The walls were so thin, that I could hear every time a shower or bathtub was running and when it turned off. The air conditioner was also EXTREMELY loud ALL DAY. It was loud enough to jolt me out of my sleep a few times. This was definitely not the relaxing week I had hoped for. I called the front desk after my first night and she offered to send an engineer to me and my mom's room. It was a nice gesture but there was really nothing he could do. There were outlets in our room that didn't work. There is no pool or hot tub. The sofas in the rooms as well as throughout the hotel were extremely low and uncomfortable. I paid $500+ for my Suite (not including what I paid for my mother's room) and the value simply wasn't there. I've stayed everywhere from the Hampton Inn to the Ritz-Carlton and this doesn't compare to either. I fell in love with the location and will be back but I will NOT be booking this hotel again. I informed the front desk of my experience and the clerk gave me 5k points (which I appreciate.) but there really was nothing that could make it better for me. I want to reiterate that (with the exception of the lady from Longitude 87) the staff was excellent from the front desk to the engineer to the people who brought us extra towels.…
Everything about this hotel spoke to a property that is just poorly managed. From the unprofessional and cold greeting at check in, to being given a room that smelled like old food, to the inability to get clean towels, to the poor food, it was just a disappointment. There’s a lack of training of staff and just an overall feeling that they don’t care. Not Marriott standards. Not at all.
