After sifting through many resorts in the Maldives, my wife and I decided to stay at Hideaway and it was the best decision. This place is simply stunning! We stayed in a deluxe water villa with pool and we made the right choice. We were a little concerned that the ocean villas may detract from the view but they didn't at all. they were far enough in the distance for it not to have an impact. Every detail was perfect! We are scuba divers and the Meridis Relax and Dive dive shop on site was one of the best we have ever had the pleasure of diving with especially with divemaster Willie. We did 11 dives during our stay and nearly every dive was full of such diverse marine life. Manta rays, reef sharks, turtles, and the coral at the Heaven and Hell dive site was so vibrant and healthy. I've never seen those colors on a reef before. Our butler was always quick to respond to whatever we needed and always made sure the room was kept tidy and clean. Each villa has bicycles that you can use which, we didn't mind walking at all because the whole of the island is beautiful but the bikes were a nice touch if you had dinner reservations or had to show up for an 8:30 dive. They also have a buggy service with golf carts that we used on a couple of occasions. The staff was vey friendly and always seemed happy to see you. And if you treat them respectfully then they will go to any length for you if you ask. The restaurants were good and clean and there was plenty of variety but after several days the options can get a little repetitive but when in doubt, just order the the sea bass! We were concerned that the location might be too far north adding additional travel time but the short 45 min flight from Male was of no consequence nor was the 20 min boat ride to the island. If you have the opportunity to stay here I highly recommend that you do so without hesitation.

It was so long-awaited holiday, and the resort did its best to make it unforgettable... The first surprise was the seaplane instead of booked domestic flight+speedboat transfer. I highly recommend to choose this option as it's much more comfortable and faster bearing in mind the long stressful journey. Upon arrival we were immediately brought to our Sunset Villa (entry level) which was absolutely amazing. Completely renovated, very spacious, separate bedroom and living room, large outdoor bathroom, huge outdoor area with direct access to the sea and coral reef. It was my third visit of the resort and one of the main reason to come back was the house reef... It's really unique. Sharks, stingrays swim few steps away from the shore, people can touch them. The best area of it starts in Meeru and leads to the right, though the area behind Mateefaru was also perfect. I highly recommend to book White Platinum Plan, it really saves your money. Unlimited Taittinger champagne, wines, Evian water, all juices and cocktails, all this even in minibar is included! Almost all food in all 4 restaurants except for 1 or 2 positions. Lunch was usually taken in Sunset Pool Cafe, the best staff member there is charming Balinese girl Ita. She is simply the best! Samsara was the favourite place for dinner. The resort offered complimentary the SPA treatment for each of us, so afterwards we enjoyed the SPA some more times. Very nice and experienced therapists! As for the activities, we took Sunset Dolphin Cruise twice. They both were unforgettable thanks to very attentive and professional team. For the second week of out stay we moved to Water Villa which was absolutely different but still amazing experience. Floating breakfast is must-have. I'd like to thank Arshad, the resort manager who was taking care about us during all 2 weeks. Each little comment was immediately taken into consideration and got in order. He made our stay! Due to such professionals the resort is getting better year after year. Thank you all Hideaway team for so exceptional holiday!

We spent Christmas and New Year at this absolutely wonderful resort. The island was beyond beautiful, the accommodation was spectacular and the staff were all attentive, kind and couldn’t help you enough. Special mention to Shaheen our butler who helped us every day with restaurant bookings, spa appts, excursions and water sports activities. We experienced both the beach villa and the water villa over the two weeks - both of which work really well for families. The restaurants offer something for everyone and the food was always of a great quality. Even the staff driving us round the resort in buggies were great company and lovely with our two kids, who both adored Aflah! We can’t wait to go back next year!!
