In January 2025, they rested at the Hideaway Hotel for the third time. This island was chosen carefully, paying attention to detail, as we have many years of experience holidaying in Maldives in different hotels category 5*. It's very important to us that this: – a large natural island, “all covered in greenery – absolutely all”, with a large number of trees where bat dogs live and heron nests are curled; - many palm trees on the beach, creating a picture of "bounty"; - the presence of a very long, with an entrance right from the shore of the home reef with a variety of fish, rays, morays, turtle and even manta!!! in easy access for children; - the villas are far apart, keeping privacy, which is very difficult to find in new hotels, even at the highest level; – No breakwaters around the island, which preserves its natural, natural appearance and magical pictures of a pristine tropical paradise; - The distance from Malé ensures a clean sea and island and very few mosquitoes. No flies!!! Which unfortunately has happened on other islands.
Restaurants and their location on the island are varied, each with its own unique ocean view! There's always a lot of fresh fruit at breakfast! Conveniently, you can choose any meal plan at the hotel, from "just breakfast" to "ultra all inclusive" with a very decent wine card and real champagne! There's a lot of staff on the island and it's very visible. The restaurants have quick service and attentiveness, timely cleaning of rooms and beaches, the island is very clean and well maintained. The hotel staff are attentive, smiley and active, but not intrusive, which is also important. This time we came as a big company and relaxed in the Signature Collection rooms. These villas are perfect EVERYTHING!!! A special thank you goes to our Butler Mira, who was delicately and discreetly always there at the right moment and solved any questions that arose! Always very comfortable talking to a butterfly in his mother tongue. Many thanks to the hotel management for their professionalism and attentiveness to their guests! Unequivocally recommend Hotel Hideaway to your friends and hope to return to this wonderful island again!

Excellent customer service from greeting at airport to taking to lounge to plane to room and way back!
We took the sea plane to the resort and for the way back we did the speedboat and domestic flight. Unfortunately we had rough seas which made the speedboat experience very unpleasant for our kids but the domestic flight was very smooth. Timing for both options; 30 mins boat, 40-45 mins flight vs seaplane 75 mins direct to the hotel.
Our butler and resort staff were very accommodating when we were afraid of the bugs in the beach villa (it had an open air bathroom so go figure!). Upgraded us to another beach villa with a larger pool as there was no water villa ready at that time.
Housekeeping staff at beach villa was very efficient and helpful and was on speed dial to come save us from the lizards or spiders that would find their way into our room.
Both the beach and the pool villa were amazing size wise. So much space! Inside and outside. Tastefully decorated.
Food was good at all the restos we ate at - sunset, mathafeeru and meeru. As were the drinks at happy hour / meeru.
Wish they would have happy hour at sunset bar as the view and pool were breathtaking but no happy hour offer there. Meeru was their main bar area but i didn’t like the fact that there were so many boats docked there and the fact that the swimming pool was far back from the beach. The reef was right there too so the beautiful turquoise water color wasn’t present right there.
Loved that they provided bikes for everyone - including infant seat and training wheels for my little one. We loved biking and exploring the island. It’s too large to be walked by foot. It was either biking or calling for a golf cart (which was usually very prompt).
Island was empty during our stay so it felt like a private island which was good and bad (depending on what you prefer!).
The north beach is their nicest beach with soft white sand and clear blue waters but it is not utilized by the resort i feel. If they would provide cabanas or loungers and service there it would’ve made such a difference. Happy hour there would’ve been a game changer and at par with many of our other Maldivian resort experiences. Location: It’s easily accessible to those in the 2 bed water villas and the signature villas.
Staff all around was super friendly especially with the kids/baby. In particular staff at the restaraunts would help with the baby… Bina and Muje to name a few. Can’t recall rest of their names but they were all lovely! Joffre our butler was also helpful and easily accessible on WhatsApp.
Kids club seemed to have quite a few activities per day but since it wasn’t very busy my kids refused to go and take advantage.

The Hideaway Beach resort is our favourite island in the Maldives. The big difference compared to most resorts is the degree of privacy you get from the large spaces between the villas (on land), particularly the sunrise-facing beach residences. The Hideaway does not cram the villas next to each other like sardines, unlike most islands: take a look at the satellite map views vs other resorts. The rooms are very comfortable and generously-sized, with a large chunk of private beach available to most. On top of that, the Hideaway staff are so friendly and helpful, whether those cleaning your room, the butlers or serving you in the restaurants. The main self-service restaurant is very good and is where we ate pretty much all the time. If you're into diving, the Meridis dive school is very good too, taking care of everything on the dive for you. The quality of the diving is the best I've experienced in the north atol (I've not dived in the south). The house reef, just in front and to the north of the Meeru restaurant is literally a few metres off the shore, so if you want to snorkel rather than dive, you get a really nice reef, with juvenile sharks, rays and other smaller fish for no effort. Highly recommended.

I would give 5 star to wait staff , villa on the water and cleaning staff . Waiters and waitress are such nice people and always want to make sure we had everything we needed . Very personable and easy to talk to . The choice of food at restaurants was great except the buffet . Shout out to Tina at meeru bar and grill so sweet !! We did like breakfast at buffet . We are well traveled and foodies so maybe standards are a bit higher . Many restaurant options just make sure to reserve in advance . Make sure to get all inclusive package at your stay it is well worth it because a lunch could be 250 dollars and up . Keep in mind the liquor is not top shelf like advertised . It's well drinks at best . I loved the mango margarita though . Beers and Prosecco in room included that they will stock daily but cannot you bring any other alcohol back to room from bars. Bikes to get around island that was great and nice workout facility with tennis , ping pong , basketball and a little golf spot .
Loved the floating breakfast it was a nice touch but we're unaware it was being delivered at our door and we were sleeping . A heads up would have been nice from our butler.
5 star snorkeling right off the beach that was amazing !! One of our best places to snorkel footstep's away from beach chairs .
3 star to butler felt like he could of communicated a little better about floating breakfast and when we were catching a flight back . It may have changed how many days we stayed . So check exactly when sea planes run because Friday we had to leave at 1:15 because it was the last flight that leaves that day and we're told by our butler it would be 4 or 6 . Our flight does not leave until 11:30 and we are stuck in Male for 9 hours . We communicated this to reception and they were very nice to set us up with air bnb if we needed to relax . Side note when we arrived we had to sit in male airport for another 4 hours . We were told due to weather but it was obvious they were waiting for more people to fill plane . Just tell us truth don't lie because we saw all other planes leaving to other islands . I don't think this was part of hideaway resort though.
4 star only because our butler could of done a little better .

Dear jessicaeD3006TM, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your villa, the attentive service from our wait staff, and the incredible snorkeling right off the beach. It’s great to know that Tina at Meeru Bar and Grill made a positive impression, and we’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to her. We appreciate your insights regarding the food offerings and the all-inclusive package. It’s always helpful to hear from well-traveled guests like yourself, and we’ll take your comments into account as we continue to enhance our dining experiences. We’re sorry to learn that the communication from your butler fell short in some areas, particularly regarding the floating breakfast and your seaplane departure. We understand how important these details are to the overall experience, and we’ll address this with our team to ensure better communication in the future. It’s unfortunate that your travel schedule led to extended waiting times in Malé, and we’re glad that our reception team was able to assist with alternative arrangements. We appreciate your understanding that the delay on arrival was due to factors beyond our direct control. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even more seamless and enjoyable stay. Warm regards, Sébastien Resident Manager

My stint in the Maldives has been a great change of pace from my earlier, fast-paced vacation in Turkey. It was amazing to be able to set my own schedule after having to wake up early the previous week.
It helps that the Hideaway offers a lot of options. From swimming to snorkeling, from sports to eating out, the Hideaway has a lot of options.
There are somethings to prepare for before you book. The resort takes up an entire island, so be prepared to either wait for a club car to be dispatched to your location, hitch a ride from a passing club car, or bike (Brush up on your biking!) Wi-Fi is also a bit on the slow side, so be prepared if you're attached to wireless devices. Also, since everything (especially food) has to be shipped to the resort, be forewarned that the menu won't change in a week.
None of that stops this from being one of the best experiences I've had. If you're looking for an adrenaline pumping, this might be a poor option. On the other hand, if taking a week to crash out and lounge on a beach chair is your thing, be sure to check out the Hideaway.

At the precious suggestion of Sporting Vacanze (Daniela, Andrea, Caterina, whom we thank), for our fourth time in the Maldives we chose this precious resort, on one of the northernmost islands, over 300 km from Male airport, reachable by a 75 minute seaplane flight. It is here that we expected to find the most lush and uncontaminated nature, and it is here that we swam in a real aquarium, 1 meter from the shore! Let's start with the welcome: prompt and efficient, in an exclusive vehicle that took us from Velana airport to the seaplane terminal in 10 minutes. We had to wait a while for our flight (to be able to share it with other guests who arrived later), but the wait was pleasant because we were welcomed in a very elegant lounge, where we could rest, eat a snack and even prepared dishes at the moment. Upon arrival at the resort, a truly attentive and professional welcome: check-in directly in the villa with our highly efficient butler Anastasiia. The 190 m2 deluxe overwater villa will take your breath away with its beauty and comfort... and then, large, colorful fish await you under the veranda as soon as you dive in: a top-notch snorkeling experience that has nothing to envy of that which you can do on the house reef on the other side of the island already 1 meter (just one, yes) from the shore. Amazing service: the excellence of professionalism and the Maldivian philosophy of life are expressed to the maximum here. Villa rearranged with great care and attention twice a day at times chosen by guests. Four restaurants (Matheefaru, Meeru, Sunset, Samsara, the latter with supplement; buffet or table service) in breathtaking locations, excellent quality food, very interesting menus, varied and well-executed themed evenings. We had opted for the White Platinum accommodation: highly recommended, it is an all-inclusive that goes beyond all expectations (it includes practically all the drinks possible and imaginable, two excursions and much more). Amazing and above all very well organized New Year's Eve party (despite the fact that unfortunately it took place indoors due to the rain... but there were incredible fireworks on the beach), without confusion or crowds. We also experienced the lobster dinner (for a fee), which was a wonderful surprise. We left with the hope of being able to return to this truly heavenly place in the future....

Wow, wow, wow Hideaway beach resort is a secret little gem in the Maldives. We stayed in a sunset beach bungalow with a private garden and beach, it was just perfect and it was cleaned twice daily with a lovely room boy. The room was very well stocked with bottles of water, and an array of other beverages and snacks, it was equipped with everything Our butler Anastasia was extremely helpful and communicated with us daily either in person or text message, with daily events and dinner menus. This is a great island as it’s one of the bigger islands and we used bikes to get around which we used daily. The food is excellent with plenty of choice in the main restaurant and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the chefs will cater to your needs.Richard the executive chef is a real character very friendly and attentive. Within our package we had a tree planting ceremony with a beautiful Wooden plaque which they engraved with our special message and we planted outside our villa 104, we intend to come back in 5 years to see how it has grown. All the staff are very friendly and very hard working and we appreciate all their efforts. I would highly recommend this island and we will return in the future, thank you for a wonderful holiday Hideaway Beach 👏 Tracy & Steve

As soon as we arrived on the island, the housekeeper Selina took us to familiarize ourselves with the service features of various places on the island. We stayed in a water house for four nights. The bedding was very comfortable, the toiletries were very complete, the water bar had a coffee capsule machine and a kettle, and the cloakroom had mosquito repellent and a hair dryer, which was very considerate. The most unforgettable thing was the snorkeling spot near the meru bar, where I saw the rich and diverse creatures in the sea and had close contact with the fish. It was a happy experience. I played windsurfing for the first time in water sports. The coach was great. I learned to stand up and skating. It felt great! I played badminton in the badminton court. The waiter thoughtfully sent ice water and mint ice towels, and enthusiastically guided us to play. The court was a Li Ning brand, which was quite friendly.

Located on the northernmost island of the Maldives, it is a highly recommended resort with a dreamlike ocean environment, clean and tidy rooms, and a good environment. Everywhere on the island can be seen being run with care, and the restaurants are quite delicious. The staff are very kind and friendly. The cheerful, optimistic and chatty two Indonesian employees on the island, ETA and DINO, made me feel the innocence of communication between people. This was an unforgettable trip and worth recommending to everyone.

We relax in this hotel for 7 times. And everyone, just every time you leave your room at 4am, even though the international flight is at 11:20 and in a jet plane 12 Russians and 1(!) Dude on the other flight. You pay a very decent amount of money for a jet to leave at a more convenient time, and yet you leave your room at 4:30 in the morning, they save so much here, in five years of visiting the hotel we've seen that. I don't care who's on what flights, but you'll be out of your room at night! Just don't go to this hotel, it's how guests are treated. You pay for five stars, you pay for a jet separately, and then you sit at the airport for five hours, courtesy of the staff reservation. And if you're on a local flight, they shake out of the room at 3:20 a.m., although there's two more seats on the 6 and 8 a.m. flight, but you have to fly at 5! And yes, this time, a huge number of aggressive sharks, which have been fed and fed for a very long time, to the point where they swim three-and-a-half meters long, circle and behave very aggressively and cannot enter the water. Rats and rat traps on the island are separate conversations...

The Platinum plan includes Mini bar including alcoholic beverages and includes alcoholic beverages throughout the day until about 11pm. They have a decent wine menu including one branded champagne sparkling wine. You can order as example a bottle of champagne which locally would cost around 175 to 225 USD. In summary it very much depends on how much you want to drink. During our stay (6 adults) we had on average per day 4 bottles of champagne…. This would become unaffordable without white plan AI.

I can only answer for the white platinum all inclusive which included all drinks including wine & champagne at all of the restaurants. Food & drink delivered to your villa is not included in any plan but there was some included ( not particularly great wine)in the mini bar that was refilled each day.
