Very accessible from A20 motorway, this is a perfect one night stopover. We had a decent meal with good choice of local and other French wines (the Reuilly red was so good we set out to buy some the next morning) and excellent cheese board. Also recommended is a stroll into the pretty village of Saint-Marcel with well-restored mediaeval houses....

Stayed here with a group of 16 cyclists. Found the hotel easily via sat nav, huge car park. Reception and dining areas in a separate building to the hotel, public areas including a garden all very pleasant. Staff extremely helpful. We had a downstairs room with an enormous wet room. The ground floor did not strike me in any way...

Very good staff and excellent choice of food and wine for evening meal. The accommodation and food offer excellent value.Something to look out for is that we stayed in a ground floor room which we felt was insecure as we found late in the evening, when we were unable to contact staff, that the patio door did not close properly.Mentioned this to very...

Set your sat-nag to "rue DU Rio" (not de) and you will find it, no problem. We stay here regularly. It is about a good day's drive from Calais. One could press on, but why? - live is for living, not driving. It is a reasonably-priced motel so you shouldn't expect luxury but we have always found the rooms to...

This was a good stop between Paris and the south of France. The rooms were small but very clean. The restaurant is next door and very nice. They have the Argonton Roman Ruins & Musee are very close and worth a look and nice break while traveling.

A modernish hotel, member of the Logis group which is usually a good recommendation, housing about a dozen bedrooms on two floors in one wing and the bar/restaurant in the other. Our room was smart and had everything we needed as well as a peaceful view onto a wood. (We had asked in advance for a quiet room). The bar...

This Logis is a bit difficult to find! Our Sat Nav could not cope with the address and we subsequently found out that the hotel has a recommended routs not into St Marcel but towards Argenton - best to check before you leave. Room was decent size and clean. Bathroom was adequate. The food in the restaurant was good and...

The hotel room was small but clean. The shower is on the same level as the floor and splashes out onto the bathroom. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was really delicious! Really, one of the best I had in my three week stay. The waitstaff were two young women who were really wonderful and tried very hard...

A quiet location 4km outside Argenton sur Creuse and a good stopover. Not the most attractive of buildings but a separate bedroom wing (15 rooms). The welcome was friendly and there is plenty of off road parking. The room and bathroom had both been refurbished and were in a good modern state. We also had a small outside terrace with...
