The best thing about the place is the location, in the center of downtown Nauvoo. You go to Nauvoo for the history, so why not stay in a historic building? This is not your modern, spacious hotel room, but for history it's great. Free parking near the hotel. No elevator; you have to heft your bags up the steep stairs... More

We stayed here while visiting Nauvoo and found the location very convenient. Our room had a lovely king bed with a mini-frig. This is a historic building, so it does have its quirks. We had plenty of hot water and it was very quiet. There is a small park between the two hotel buildings that is a nice place to... More

Superbly wonderful property. Nearly spotless and impeccable grounds. Everything works, no issues. Soft beds, plenty of shower room, Internet is quick. Located just up from the downtown area. Very quiet rooms, right on the main road.

The WiFi is weak, but we were on vacation, so that's not bad. The restaurant is THE place to have dinner in town. Try the salad bar -- there's enough variety to fill up almost anyone. The bed is like a rock slab. We spent a bunch to get a four inch pad to make the bed comfortable. If you... More

We had a room here and were all excited about the quaintness of staying right in Nauvoo. However, they promise free wireless internet, but there was no service at all. We had to step into the (walk-in) closet to even connect. They said we would get better service down at the end of the hall. That's not acceptable! The lady... More

Originally we had a room in the hotel. Due to steep steps, we had our room changed to the motel. We stayed in the family suite. The suite is a two bedroom, with full kitchen, including a dining table. There is also a sofa bed as well. The room was a bit musty though. The room is definitely a "motel... More

We stayed here for three nights in a two queen room. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom large enough. You check in down the street at the hotel and the people are friendly and helpful. The town of Nauvoo is a delight.

My wife and I just returned from spending three nights and three days in the quaint Hotel Nauvoo. This hotel is over 170 years old so understand the floor creek, the stair are steep and the rooms are not fancy. We did find some other hotels in the same area that are the same price and did have nicer rooms... More

Cute, quiet room, family room a bit uncomfortable to share 1 bathroom for 4+ people. Although nice will not stay there again. Not enough lights, their pillows are hard as a rock and huge. Customer service was good and friendly, they had hot water and tea readily available 😊

We had stayed in the 170 year old Hotel Nauvoo one night and it was fine and clean but the narrow steep stairway was a challenge with luggage. And the rooms were small. The same family owns the Motel 4 blocks east of the Hotel/Restaurant. Bigger rooms, one floor and parking within 15 feet of the doorway. Queen bed was... More
