In town and in the country. Prairie Path Guest House is the best of both worlds. Overlooking nearby woods, the large yard makes you feel a million miles away, but you’re close enough to downtown to walk to restaurants and stores. Especially enjoyed meeting the owners and hearing about the history of the place. Many lovely quilts decorating the rooms and hallways were made by Fern. The small city of Mt. This is a wonderful home. The Innkeepers Fern and Buster serve up a fabulous, homemade breakfast among the blue birds and rolling green hills of Northwest, IL. The rooms, scenery and company are lovely...we especially enjoyed the fresh coffee on the second floor balcony! Fern's coffeecake and Swedish pancakes are as good as grandma's!
