We were nearing the end of a very long road trip and wanted to stay somewhere unique and lovely. This old building has been beautifully restored. Our service from all employees was just great! Parking was perfect in the garage, as it was very hot! We stayed on the top floor in a corner suite, had dinner in our room from the restaurant downstairs, which was delicious! We hope to return!
This is a beautiful hotel in an awesome location. We reserved a king corner room and absolutely loved the views from our room on the 8th (top) floor. Our room was very quiet. We did hear the train but it didn’t bother us at all. The room was quite spacious—especially the bathroom—and we thought the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is very clean and cozy. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Free parking is conveniently located in a parking garage just a few steps from the hotel and next to the police station. The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, breweries, bars, concert venues, and shops. We really enjoyed staying here and would happily stay here again.
We have traveled from coast to coast and Canada using various bus touring companies. Normal procedure is for hotel rep to meet with tour guide and hand out the room tickets. Axis required one guest per room to check in. share photo ID plus credit card for incidentals....tour bus driver shared bus service credit card to cover any incidentals. The 7 AM buffet breakfast was available at 7:15 with very sparse amounts for a bus load of 33 people. The breakfast gal claimed she had no idea so many people would be there with the check in desk close by that info was easily available....on the plus side, beautiful room, luxurious bathroom and very nice linens. They just need to get it together if interested in filling rooms with bus loads of senior citizens.
Good hotel! Good view of downtown Moline! The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful by bringing our towels and an extra pillow up to our room. The only reason for a four-star is that breakfast was $11.99 per person. For the price you pay to stay here, breakfast should be included in my opinion. There is a bar in the lobby so I would consider it semi-family friendly.
We stayed one night while traveling. We did not arrive until late. Staff was nice and friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Room was clean. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Great hotel!
I recently stayed at the Axis Moline Hotel. I am a Diamond member and had never been to Moline before but wanted to share it was one of the better experiences I have had on a Hilton property. Even though it is an older building, the updated rooms and beds were great. The restaurant and service were also very good! Because I had a flight later in the day and needed to be on a video call, the Manager (Shani) was more than accommodating for a later check-out. Shani made the end to a long road trip for me a lot easier. There is no doubt I would recommend the Axis to friends and colleagues.
I booked one night here to attend a family party in the area. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and overall, beautiful. My husband and I had a couple of drinks at the bar and French onion soup, which was really good. The next time I’m in town, I’d definitely plan to stay here again and try more of the menu, specifically the crispy Brussels sprouts. Lol
We were driving through to Des Moines and needed a place to stay for the night. My husband chose The Axis because it was Art Deco, which he loves. This is a really beautiful hotel, lots of nice details put into everything. We loved everything about the hotel and had a wonderful stay. The room was so nice and the beds slept really well, we didn’t want to leave. The bathroom was nice and large. We didn’t have any issues with the outside noise, but they had ear plugs on the night stand if we needed them. Parking was super easy in the garage behind the hotel. The front desk staff was so nice and super helpful. We enjoyed our dinner in the hotel restaurant. We were so happy that we found this place.
My teenager and I were looking at Augustana College about two miles away and spent a night at this great 1927 restored hotel in the heart of Moline. THe restaurant looked very active at night and we elected to go down the street to a cool Thai restaurant called Lemongrass. The fitness room, breakfast area and beds and shower were very nice.
The hotel was nice but don't forget or leave anything behind because trying to reclaim items left in your room is a waste of time. Manager would not return calls or emails and had to file a complaint with Hilton over something a reasonable manager could have solved.
