Rude staff. Hotel room not cleaned to standard. On July 18th I was left without power starting at about 4pm until the early of the next day when it was time for me to checkout. I went down to speak with the late night staff, the gentleman rudely explained that a refund is being worked out. I thanked him and returned to dark hot room. When checking out the next morning of 7/19 the front desk staff stated we'd received a 30% refund, refund was never received.
This is a 100% smoke free hotel. We had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in our room. Sales Manager, Ash, was very attentive with her customer service, making sure my group was well taken care of for our one night stay in Matteson. The rooms were large and the beds very comfortable with premium bedding. The breakfast was plentiful.
This hotel is an older property that has been nicely remodeled. The rooms are smaller than a modern Comfort Inn, but they are nice. The hotel is very quiet considering its proximity to the expressway. It is rather difficult to find when driving. I should have printed out a map. Room rates were much better than those available just a few miles closer to Chicago. There are many food options within a reasonable drive, but none that you can walk to. The air conditioner was nicely quiet but did not have a lot of power. However, it was adequate to the high humidity and 80 degree weather that was happening while I was there. There is no swimming pool, but that means you don't have to deal with shouting middle school kids running to and from the pool. Both the coffee and the breakfast were excellent. This will be my new destination hotel when in the Chicago area.…
My husband and I stayed here one night while attending a concert at the Hollywood casino amphitheater in Tinley Park. This hotel was less than 4 miles away and the rate was good! The front desk was pleasant and helpful and made the check in/check out process very easy. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It had a mini fridge and a microwave which was great for us since we packed a few beverages for the over night stay. We stayed on the third floor and didn’t hear any noise from our neighbors. Breakfast in the morning was good and offered eggs, sausage, pastries, waffles, cold cereals and more. The only suggestion I have for anyone that stays here is to bring food because the hotel does not have a vending machine with food/snacks.... definitely something they should consider getting. When we got back from the concert at 11:30 PM, all of the area restaurants and pizza delivery places were closed. Other than that, we had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone coming in to see a concert in Tinley Park!…
The location is hands-down the best thing about this hotel. It's in a commercial area and very convenient to the highway, gas, strip mall shopping and food. Not a bad drive into Chicago. The best food close by is Dustie's; an established soul food buffet from well over 30 years ago when I lived in Chicago. The hotel itself was unremarkable. It's a fairly average 2 1/2 star hotel (my rating) but was clean and served my purpose. The breakfast was mediocre and nothing worth mentioning but would keep you from going hungry. Rooms were spacious enough for myself and my teenage nephew. I encountered no issues. Overall, I would stay there again.
