The Presidential Inn & Suites doesn't offer rooms by the hour, but they do offer them for 4 hours or the whole day. That, and a four hour or nightly rate that is under half of most traditional motels, should pretty much set the expectations for your stay. Check-in was an annoyance with the manager behind bullet proof plexiglass in an office "lobby" that with fans and other air cooling devices running at jet take off decibel levels, was virtually unintelligible. He fumbled around trying to find my Tavelocity reservation, and after I handed over my copy of the confirmation he miraculously "found it". The next part puzzled me greatly. According to the online booking process, my reservation was non-refundable and non-changeable, and I provided a credit card for that reservation. The manager asked me how I was going to pay and I said I paid online. He shook his head and showed me through the bullet proof plexiglass his confirmation from Travelocity that showed, "To Be Collected by Hotel, $67.60". I got out the same credit card that I had used online and it was charged the same amount I had believed to have paid online. I checked my card transactions online and sure enough, just the one charge on the day of arrival. I guess that if I didn't arrive by 11:00 pm that night, my card would have charged. After checking out our room, the decision not to arrive and pay the $67.60 would have been the smart one. The so called "Non Smoking" room stank of stale cigarette smoke, and to top it off had two ash trays and ash stains in the bottom of the ice bucket. My spouse was incensed and went up to the office to complain, as well as get a bucket of ice (accomplished). The knowledgeable manager informed her that even though the room is non smoking, ash trays are provided so the guests do not put out their cigarettes out on the Spartan assortment of short tables and other spots in the room. That is an excuse and a cop out for the ages! The room had no clothing rack or hangers, or clothing drawers. It did have a large table for luggage, two small "night tables", a single chair, full length ceiling mirror above the king sized bed and two ceiling mounted triple arrays of "party lights" along with in ceiling high illumination spot lights (did an excellent job of illuminating the room). The bathroom floor was wet from condensation and sticky. The shower stall was ample sized with a very low shower head. Grout on the outside of the shower stall ceased its intended function some 10 to 20 years ago and was dirty. Our neoprene hotel slippers served us well on the visually clean bedroom carpeting but especially the sticky tiled floor of the bathroom. The toilet float was out of adjustment and caused the toilet to cycle on every 10 to 15 minutes, which we couldn't hear until morning owed to have turned off the "747 Take Off" loud in wall HVAC unit. This unit had to be cranking over 80 db when running and given the 85 deg outside temps, it was running about 45 to 50 minutes of every hour. It did keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Even after turning it off around 1:30 am, the room stayed comfortable until our check out around 9:00 am. The king bed was very comfortable and provided a great sleep for the two of us. Bedding was limited to sheets and a substantial comforter, which was unneeded in the moderate room temperature. Other than the running on and off toilet, the room was dead quiet, further enhancing a good night's sleep. We weren't the only value seekers that night, and by our return around 1:30 am, there were close to 15 other guest cars parked in front of the first floor units in our section. I would presume their experiences matched ours. The big questions would be, "Are they repeat customers? or are they like us, "Enjoyed the value, didn't enjoy the rather Spartan and greatly outdated room"., and no intentions of repeating the experience.

i stayed there a few months ago after a concert. I wasn't expecting luxury, and I didn't get it. I got a room to sleep in and to drink with friends before the concert and after. I always wear socks or shoes on most hotel carpets anyway, so why people give 1 star for that is dumb...my sheets were clean, and the bathroom was not the cleanest, but it was ok. I wasn't expecting it to be sparkling brand new. I just slept there. A place that offers sleeping rooms isn't gonna be the RITZ people!! It sucks people review badly based on out of line expectations of what a $50 room is. I give 3 stars because the sheets were clean.
