It was a treat to find this lodge for our visit to Giant City Park where there are great walks. Our cabin had a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds. The other room held the fireplace and small kitchen. Too bad we only had one night as it would have been a restful place to spend several days. Only suggestion... More

One of the most attractive sites at Giant City State Park is the Giant City Lodge built by the CCC during the Depression. While a fraction of the size, it is as attractive as the great lodges of the West. In addition to the lodge itself, the restaurant is excellent. Specialty is southern fried chicken dinner, but we also had... More

The restaurant was incredible. The Lodge was beautiful in a great setting. We came from out of town and had a very easy time of setting up the rehearsal dinner for 45 people. Mike and his staff made the whole process easy and painless. The food was incredible and served family style. The Fried Chicken was great as was the... More

Stayed in a comfy, cozy, but well appointed cabin, a short walk on paved paths to the lodge/dining, swimming pool with a kiddie pool, and 50 ft. high observation deck. Food and beverages at the lodge restaurant were a very good value. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. It was a short, scenic drive to many area attractions. We... More

Just returned from a Friday and Saturday retreat weekend. This place was amazing.. Mid price cabins were comfortable and clean. But, the Food..Wow.. breakfast was great, and dinner was fantastic. We had Fried Chicken Friday night, and Bison T-Bone Steak Saturday. Very reasonable price. The service was wonderful. Our server was Jacquline (Jackie) and she was one of the finest... More

Went for a quick 2 night trip down to Giant City. Stayed in a Bluff Cabin with 2 children and loved it! Good value and you can't beat the location. These cabins aren't good for long stays since there isn't a true kitchen in them but for a couple of days they are perfect! Having the windows open and hearing... More

We stayed in 2 attached prairie cabins. Each of the cabins have 1 bedroom, 1 pull down wall bed, tv, small fridge, coffee maker, coffee and supplies (styrofoam cups, sugar, etc). Several small, sandy bars of soap and no shampoo are in the bathroom. So bring your own stuff. The beds were very hard. There is a pool for cabin... More

Spent two nights with friends, and stayed in middle of three price range categories. Good size en suite cabin with separate Bedroom. Refrigerator nice touch. Bring your own shampoo for all but the superior cabin. Available soap like sandpaper. Friendly staff with good food and drink. Reasonable prices, and fried chicken special from 11am to 4pm a real bargain. Climb... More

Great place to do some hiking and be outdoors. The Bluff Cabin we had was very nice and quiet but you need to walk a few hundred feet to get to it - so if you have any disability go for the other cabin styles. Good food at the lodge. I would return here-- lots of outdoor activities in the... More

A wonderful get-away spot for the person seeking quiet and beauty. A CCC Lodge, with heavy timbers and country interiors, surrounded by individual cabins. There are several levels of cabins in terms of size. I stayed in a 'Historic' cabin. It was simple but had everything that I needed. There are lovely trees on the property and the Lodge is... More
