We stayed here this weekend. February 7th and 8th. The rooms are well appointed. We stayed in a two room king suite. We paid for the premium package which was includes upgraded internet and some some snacks/ beverage in the room. The rooms are spacious, clean with plenty of electrical outlets.

‘Friday night they offered a reception with beverages and drinks. We did not go to that although it was very crowded. They also have a buffet each morning. The food is average at best.

There is a small indoor pool. The pool area is small. It has three tables and a few chairs. We sat out there Friday night. The hotel should require adult supervision as there were some teens roughhousing and dominating the pool. We left as there were no staff in sight to complain too.

Saturday, the hotel filled with families. It looked like party central and there was no chance to go to that area.

The hotel is set in an atrium so it gets very noisy during the day and early evening. It had died down by 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night. So that wasn’t too bad.

We have stayed at this property a number of times since we like the roominess of 'suites' when we get away.

The room was nice, beds were not as we remembered from previous stays. They were a bit uncomfortable and left us with sore backs.

Morning breakfast and afternoon happy hours were fine, however, with the 2 drink tickets, you are not able to get 2 right away. The initial drink needs to be consumed before requesting the additional drink (per Illinois law).

We were a bit surprised, for the hotel being 30% occupancy, why would we have 'neighbors' right next door and not split up with a room in-between.

It was unfortunate the pool and hot tub were closed.

Overall, hotel was fine, I would suggest incorporating the parking fee $6 + change into the room fee per night instead of being separate and I would say not only to Embassy Suites but to all hotels.

We stayed in room 708 July 17-24 , this is a newer Embassy Suites so the hotel is very nice, but they charge for parking $6.36 per night. Manager’s reception was not as good as some of the other Embassy Suites no free snacks or IPA’s. Shout out to the breakfast team Liz, Jeanrose and Donna those girls worked hard to keep the breakfast items stocked and tables and floors spotless, housekeeping was spot on too.
If you are a Diamond member there is no Diamond parking and you will have to ask for your your bottle water. Not sure if it was on my end but never could get digital key to work also had a slow draining tub but that got resolved. I would stay here again but would like to see a better Manager’s reception and a more engagement from the staff.

We were a group of 2 families staying in 3 suites. It was a decent place to stay when we departed to each of our suites for the night. However, when we used a single suite for all of us, it was difficult to have adequate ventilation. We had to leave the door open to get enough air. The windows did not open, which was made it difficult for ventilation. I realize the central air was appropriate, but it was centralized air. Some of us in the group would prefer fresh air from the outside. But for the majority, everything was in working order. The staff was friendly, even throughout the holiday season. Great breakfast and excellent made to order omelet chef. All of the dining personnel were fantastic and attentive. We were given tickets to participate in breakfast, but other Embassy Suites that we have stayed have discontinued this process. The tickets were valuable for those who participated in the manager's reception consuming alcoholic drinks. The variety of the snacks at the complimentary manager's reception was appreciated, as well. Overall, a decent place to stay if hosting a family event or getting together with family.

Be ready at check-in to initial 8 "no you can't do this here" items, pay $6 a night to self park (in the suburbs?!) and be charged an extra $50/night for incidentals (you already have my credit card number, I'm a Hilton Honors member) and they clearly say they won't be any help if you don't get YOUR deposit money returned in 10 business days. Wha? There are plenty of other hotels just as nice with a better attitude toward their customers. We're out.

The check in was fine. The bathtub was dirty its seem like it hasnt been scrub for days there was hair on it. The is no communication on between staff we asked for a 12 o'clock check out but housekeeping was knocking 30 minutes before 12. Hot breakfast was eggs, potatoes and bacon which is fine since this covid-19. The chef was rude and since to be annoying he didn't even say good morning or hello he doesn't need to have a conversation with every single person but at least good morning or hello.

My stay was 17-21 May 2021 in a 1 bed King Suite. I had a nice stay since this was also my first time out since Covid. Grounds kept up nice, all the staff was a pleasure to work with, the hotel was kept up, I like the setup, and the rooms were nice. However, my cleaning standards are extremely stringent and I normally travel with cleaners. I did have to use them but not as much. Nice workout area, pool was closed for now, bar area was nice as well. There for the week on business. We had the breakfast and you get two complimentary drinks each night from 5-7pm. Picked up a nice meal the first night and had the other have of meal again the next day. Food was excellent, nice change from my cooking. Breakfast was nice, the hot meal was for ticket holders, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes. They had other items you could pickup as well, standard yogurt, muffins, drinks, cereal, etc. They put the hot food in a takeout container for you. The hotel is in an ideal spot to walk or drive. Main road/highway with every store or mall, etc located on it. Nice safe area. If I find myself in this area again, I would return back to this hotel location.

For years a great clean quiet place, near restaurants and shopping.

They advertise Complimentary Managers Special (cocktails in the evening) Free Wifi and Complimentary breakfast, all of which are fantastic (during non-Covid times).

Recently they are enforcing\charging over $6 for self parking, this is a huge lot with several open lots nearby.

This is in the suburbs not downtown.

There are several other lodging options nearby none of which charge for parking

I'm not sure I'd stay here again.

Positives are:
Price
Clean
Check-in employees were nice
Shuttle
Close to Starbucks

Negatives:
Fridge did not work (did not call about it)
Breakfast was not good (and employees were rude)
It's a bit noisy in the room (from the atrium set up)
Doors are SO heavy (b/c they are fireproof?)
Had to pay for parking (I know this may be normal in IL, but it's a parking lot)

All in all, we only stayed for one night for a wedding. If I had to go back to the area, I'd research where else to stay. If breakfast is important to you, book somewhere else.

It's a safe area...but very far from Chicago. I would stay in Chicago (city) if you are going to be here as a tourist. Lombard is a nice suberb...but you'll spend a lot of time traveling into the city and parking is SUPER expensive. Trains thus far out take longer and come less frequently.

Answer from Kim H

I think you are asking about the room option/upgrade that include snacks/drinks (not the manager's reception or breakfast). IMHO it was worth it as I have 2 teenage boys - was nice having a variety of drinks and water (Perrier, Coke, Diet Coke, etc.) and snacks like cookies, M&M's and Dorito's. But if it had just been myself and my husband or if I had been traveling alone then no, it would just be easier to put a few Diet Cokes in the mini fridge. If you are staying more than one night you'll probably have to call to have it replenished. Pool and hot tub were nice. This is one of the nicest Embassy Suites we've stayed at. Hope that helps!
