Great experience at this property. Very clean and updated rooms. Friendly staff. Only knock is, parking can be tough sometimes so you have to walk 3-5 mins to the lobby. Other than that…it was a great stay for a business traveler. Highly recommended
This is the first time I've ever rated a hotel Excellent! I have noticed Madison's consistent high level of customer service. I was utterly impressed with how she ensured that the check in process for me was phenomenal. I see why she'a s supervisor. I do believe that it's time for her to be promoted to manager. She is truly a star!!!
Amazing staff and very clean and comfortable rooms. Our son attends Elmhurst University and this is our new favorite hotel in the area. In fact, it’s the only place will stay when we visit him. Every visit we have there is top notch. The fitness center is spacious and the sauna is a perfect addition. This stay Ana our room attendant provided us a spotless room! Carlos at the front desk is always hospitable and remembers us. All the other team members at the front desk are always helpful and friendly.
The hotel is very clean and the staff is wonderful. The front desk rep, Celina, helped me fix me room type - apparently I had a selection in my profile for a special/accessible room. I’m not sure how that happened. I don’t need or want that type of room.
Our stay this past weekend was made that much more enjoyable by the hard work and friendliness of Mr. Charles Cook. He always helped out "with a smile" (his words AND mine) and made it possible for us to get around quickly and easily. Whatever you're paying Charles now, I advocate for you to double that at least!
I would say a pretty decent place for what I paid. I work in construction and unfortunately noticed quit a bit this and that with the building. Pool and hot tub were nice. I like wet sauna's more but the dry sauna was nice. There needs to be a better locker room setup for changing in and out of swimwear. Good Italian restaurant.
The Westin in Lombard is an upscale property away from the noise of downtown, but surrounded by a mall, various restaurants (besides its own, Harry Carey’s) and some major roads to take you anywhere you might want to go. I’ve come here many times over the past two decades (!) to attend conventions or visit my family back when they lived in Lombard. It has always offered well-appointed and spacious rooms, Executive suites if you need them, business and convention facilities, and above all else an incredibly helpful, friendly staff. On my first night here on this most recent stay, I got invited to a group dinner at the nearby Capitol Grille, and discovered that the hotel will shuttle you to the nearby businesses. Charles Cook, our driver (who also serves as a bell captain) could not have been more warm and gracious with us, coming back later to pick us up. The management and staff have also always been helpful and accommodating for all kinds of visitors, and extremely well-suited for business groups or other functions held in either of the two sizable conference wings on opposite sides of the main floor. I also enjoy the in-house restaurant and pub. I try to come here every year when possible, and I am always glad to see the stately building looking out over Lombard and the relaxed, comfortable feeling I get from it. It’s ideal for business functions, and convenient to the airport and trains to take you into Chicago — and the staff are flat-out the best I’ve come across in many years and many hotels’ worth of travel.…
My husband and I just had our wedding reception for 360 guests this past weekend at westin Chicago lombard with around 40 guests staying at the hotel itself. The staff at the front desk and our reception were phenomenal and great to work with. Our problem with the hotel is its event management services. We had an absolutely miserable time working with KELLY SCHMITZ in the process of planning our reception. We initially signed our contract with a different event manager Tanya who was amazing and we were sad to learn she no longer worked for the company and we would have to work with someone else. This particular hotel makes you jump through all kinds of hoops to get anything done for your reception. Most of this was NOT told to us prior to signing the contract. Hire an engineer and pay $175/hr to have dry ice for 30 seconds, fire Marshall and pyrotechnic license from the city to do sparklers for 45 seconds, paid $1,100 to plug in AMPS!! Our coordinators and vendors were shocked we had to pay per amp at this venue, they’ve never heard of that. No “outside food” accommodations like plates or cutlery if we wanted to give our guests late night bites, No CO2, confetti, money guns etc. After all the money we spent at this reception, our vendors couldn’t even get free wifi, they were met with a shrug from Kelly and told to pay $15. Everywhere we turned, she nickel and dimed us for every single thing. We had to repeatedly ask for a holding room for the bridal party prior to entering our reception. There are so many examples I’m leaving out but If you want to have a fun reception and have a relaxing time planning it, this place is NOT for you. Now onto Kelly Schmitz. I have never met a more ruder, unprofessional event planner in my life. The amount of sarcastic rude comments my husband and I had to endure while staying neutral was insane. We dreaded every phone call and meeting with her and contemplated canceling our contract altogether but the timing didn’t allow it. Our event coordinators were treated terribly by Kelly and at one point the day before our wedding, one of our coordinators abruptly left the conversation because of how rude Kelly was speaking to her. She flip flopped on alot of things that we spoke about at a previous meeting and contradicted herself constantly. All the while, she would threaten to fine us if we tried to “pull anything on her” the day of the wedding. It reduced me to tears when I heard that. She was also MIA during the actual reception. Never once checked in on us or approached us at the end of the night as most event managers are known to do. Overall, as a New Yorker who just moved to Chicago, this was not a pleasant experience. Again, Huge shoutout to Ty, Charles and the front desk and actual servers and staff during our reception for being phenomenal during our stay. You all were the silver lining…
Our hiring and education conference of group tour companies and tour leaders just finished at the Westin Chicago Lombard. It could not have been a better experience from the set up through execution. Shout out to the amazing staff of Megan Mirro, Julie Scholl, Brian De Anda, Patti and Charles Cook. Well done, all!
Hello , I'm writing this review to especially highlight the exceptional service I recieved during my stay on the Lombard Westin on 5 November 2022, mind you on this day chicago earned its name " the windy city" those winds were equal to a weak hurricane. ...after safely making it in to hotel, CELINA! was " above & beyond" on the service she rendered to me. I have to say this , being in law enforcement , sometimes we don't get recieved well by the general public but after noticing my law enforcement credentials CELINA was so nice!!! She is a credit to the company & hotel...she's the reason if I decide to be in this area in the future I'm checking in to the Lombard Westin. I also wanna compliment the tall African american doorman he did awesome as well helping with my handicapped mother in law. GO WESTIN!!!…
