Hi, it was our third time in Niyama and again best family vacation ever. Despite all craziness in over the world Niyama team very well made us feel like fairytail for two weeks. Restorans in their variety are very good. Best breakfest is in Epicure and Kudy is taking care of everybody. Definitely ask for juice guy Solesman to make you diffrent fresh juicys and cocktails. Best meat is in Tribal, best seafood in Nest and fine dining in Edge! Thank you Niyama family, we can’t wait to be back! Special thanks to Aiman and Affan Samuel family
A group of 6 friends, we have just spent the last couple of weeks at Niyama, just as the Coronavirus pandemic took hold globally. Despite the immense pressure, with flight restrictions and cancellations, extremely worrying news stories from around the world, and our anxieties for our children, families and friends at home, the whole island team at Niyama ensured that our holiday remained perfect. The quality of service was impeccable, and it was obvious that the staff took great pride in the service they provided, and also in the resort itself. The personal butler service is the best we have experienced, very easy to make arrangements, always on hand, yet never intrusive. Thank you so much Renjian. The food was always wonderful, and again the staff made every effort to ensure that we enjoyed every meal. The dining experience at Edge and Tribal restaurants is exceptional, really top class, hard to believe how good, considering the fact we were on a small island in the middle of Indian ocean. We would like to pass on our best wishes to the General Manager, Haf, his management team, and the whole resort team......thank you all so much for your help and support and we hope that the current disruption is short lived. We are thinking of you xx…
We stayed 10 days. That felt just right. I think it's rare to be in a hotel and feel that you could do or try something new every day. Getting around the island on bikes was a really nice touch - something we'll remember for a long time. Big game fishing was good, but crazy expensive. Snorkeling was the best ever - awesome experience. It was nice to be able to play tennis in the Maldives. We didn't surf, but that looked fun. Everybody was friendly, and overall the food was good, although not quite up to for instance Dubai standards. Having a private butler was very convenient, and they restocked the mini (maxi) bar every day. We stayed in a beach villa/studio and would choose that over an over-water villa. They look perfect on pictures (at high tide), but are not so nice at low-tide with stones showing and no jumping from villa into water. Edge/subsix was cool, but mostly because of the concept. Edge had the least interesting food of all the restaurants. Tribal and Nest (both treetop and teppanyaki) were really good. We were told that because of Covid19 they had 50% staff and 75% occupancy, so you'd see the same staff at all the restaurants at different times. The teppanyaki chef from the night before served us bread at breakfast in the morning. The beaches all have nice, soft, white sand, but there are quite a bit of corals in the water (which is why snorkeling is so good - you just can't walk much in the water). It's expensive, but I think you get what you pay for. We had breakfast/dinner included and ended up spending almost double, but the seaplane, fishing trip and tennis were expensive items. We'd go again.…

The best family experience in the Maldives! After a 12 day stay last year, we returned to Niyama for another 3 weeks with our 4 year old son and it was a super relaxing and unforgettable holiday for all. Firstly, the journey is easy, just a 40 minute seaplane flight from Male. Secondly, having stayed at other 5* resorts in the Maldives, we were pleased to find a place that accommodates many different tastes and interests. The two islands are very green and offer varied sceneries - a beautiful quiet lagoon on the one side and a lively seascape on the other. You can cycle, walk or be taken around in a buggy and there is enough mileage for a jog. There is a small gym and an indulgent spa. The beaches are stunning and feel very private. While there is some coral and there are wave breakers in places, they do not spoil the experience. The resort has two decent snorkelling reefs on its doorstep (we were lucky to have seen all the key reef fish, as well as a turtle!) and you can also take a boat trip to scout for turtles, dolphins and explore the bigger reef sites if you want to see more. The kids club, run by Olivia, made a true difference to us. Our son was treated like royalty by a professional team and got to try so many new experiences, allowing us to enjoy the island. In contrast to some of the other places we stayed at, all of the staff at the hotel were genuinely friendly. Our Thakkuru, Benjo, catered to our every whim, taking the stress away from restaurant, spa and activity bookings and so much more. We never got bored of the restaurants as each offered its own unique setting and cuisine, starting with the more relaxed breakfast/causal dinners at Epicure and ending with Afro-LatAm cuisine fusion at Tribal. The kids menu was somewhat limited, but all the restaurants were very accommodating when we asked for items off the menu. A big family favourite was Surfshack sundowners where Jemmy served knockout cocktails and Air made the best reef fish ceviche on the island! Lest we forget, the Coconut Guru, Imran, who always seemed to read our minds when we wanted a fresh coconut. Bottom line, Niyama appeals with its luxurious backdrop and service but you can dial up or down the glamour and still feel comfortable. Haf, the GM and the whole Niyama team made us feel at home and if you are after a relaxed and luxurious time in the Maldives, Niyama is the place to go.…
