St. Regis Maldives is a world class resort with a staff that is second to none. Prior to arrival, the staff coordinated our spa, excursion, and dinner event details. Additionally, they communicated our airport arrival, lounge access, and seaplane transfer information. It was clear from the beginning that the staff was dialed in to the smallest of details. We were greeted at the airport and conveniently transferred to the St. Regis lounge. The staff checked us in at the lounge so we were able to go straight to our room upon arrival to the resort. Also, we received a welcome video from our butler with additional property details. It was a 45 minute direct flight on the seaplane transfer; we were immediately greeted by our amazing butler Sareer (we were so lucky to have him as our butler!) and Adhuham with St. Regis branded coconut drinks. Sareer gave us a tour of the island, showed us to our room, and communicated his availability for any of the island services. This was the beginning of our best vacation ever! We started every morning with 7:30 yoga at the spa with Suparna and one day with Vishnu. Both of them are amazing and it was the perfect start to the day. The property is building a yoga studio adjacent to the spa; the experience is already great, but you can tell it’ll be an even better experience moving forward. Suparna provided a perfect balance of yoga along with meditation and focus. Additionally, she led evening Chakra meditation; both yoga and meditation were a perfect reset. After yoga, we enjoyed the breakfast “experience” at Alba. Every morning we sat on the beach overlooking the water and danced through the local flare of Maldivian, Indian, Japanese, Asian, and traditional cuisine. Our breakfast staff for the week, Alex, Bem, Anissa, Opi, Ameen, and Senior Sous Chef Ajim made for a such a fun experience. Alex made us small batch cold brew every morning with Indonesian coffee! Alex and Ameen shared their off the menu favorites for healthy juices. We loved the Masala Dosa, Maldivian style egg benedict, avocado toast, and cinnamon French toast. All five restaurants on property provided amazing food and service. However, the Decanter wine dinner was the pinnacle experience. Sunny hosted the evening and beautifully danced through the wine pairings and provided charismatic stories along the way. There were a total of seven wines with three “mystery” wines that the table guessed on. Ajim prepared a beautiful five course food pairing that included hamachi tartare with shiso & caviar, poached lobster, wild mushroom risotto, and wagyu tenderloin. It was an experience that was so satisfying. Regarding activities and excursions, the island provided the perfect balance of fun with tranquillity. By far, our favorite activity was the SEABOB rental from the aquatic center! Our guide, Adel, provided a quick demonstration followed by a tour of the reef along the property’s shoreline. Adel ensured that we maximized the experience and saw as much of the reef as possible. It was a such unique adventure that we can’t wait to try again. We also did the coral garden snorkeling trip, where we saw reef sharks, an Eagle ray, a puffer fish, and a vibrant mix of coral and fish. Both activities allowed us plenty of time to enjoy the beach and pool in the afternoon. Going back to our butler Sareer; he was the perfect host and anticipated our needs so well. He handled every detail of our dinner reservations, spa services, exursions, golf cart shuttles, laundry pressing services, coordinated a congratulatory cake being sent to our room, along with so many other small but critical details. He was an absolute gentleman and a pleasure to visit with throughout the week. Additionally, we received amazing room service from our villa attendant Masood. From fresh fruit to towel animals to little details around the room, we were well taken care of all week. Our only regret was not staying longer. If you’re thinking about booking, DO IT. Thank you to the St, Regis Vommuli staff for such an amazing experience!…
