Rannalhi was a favourite transit destination for islanders, being the final fresh-water landfall on the journey south from Khaafu Atoll in the Maldives. Known as 'the measure of gold' (ran means gold, nalhi is a unit of measure) for its beauty and fertility, Rannalhi island is now home to an all-action fun resort where good times and friendship make for unforgettable tropical holidays.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Nestled on a serene beachfront, Adaaran Club Rannalhi is lauded for its immaculate state and picturesque location, offering guests stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere, with the exception of some lively evening music. Guests have called out the high-quality service and spa treatments, adding to the resort's relaxing vibe.
While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort, a few travelers suggest they could benefit from modernization. Amenities, from water sports to diverse dining options, are popular, although some guests note extra costs can detract from the overall value.

We spent a week in this resort as part of a longer tour. We were picked up at the airport and quickly transfered to the island . Our room was not quite ready but we were offered lunch while it was serviced and our baggage was taken to the accommodation. Full marks for processing both our arrival and departure arrangements. There are two types of rooms available. We stayed in a block which consisted of four guest rooms. These blocks are situated around the island and are close to the sea. The alternative is "Water Bungalows" which are built on stilts in the lagoon. These are obviously more expensive . The rooms were serviced twice a day with plenty of fresh towels etc. The air conditioning, bathroom shower etcetera all worked perfectly. The decor and furnishings were all a little dated and worn. Staff worked continuously around the resort to keep the public areas clean and tidy All guests eat in the restaurant where we were assigned a table for the length of our stay. It is a buffet service which is refreshed regularly. The food is plentiful and well prepared although a little repetetive particularly if you are staying for a week. There are usually some European dishes available but mostly local curries, rice etcetera The resort offers the usual additional service of dining on the beach beside the restaurant at a cost. They also offer the usual excursions to other islands , Male etc and features heavily on water sports, snorkling, and scuba diving as well as spa treatments We did not bother with any of these activities and were happy to stay on the beach and rest. The entertainment at night in the cocktail bar was basic. In summary, a fairly pleasant stay in a probably overdeveloped resort in need of a refurbishment with a continuous turnover of short stay (3 to 4 days)guests. The staff are courteous and excellent. The food offering is repetitive and there is lots to do at an additional price if you could be bothered in the heat, humidity and sunshine. Maybe not the boutique Maldives experience but ok

It's been a few days since we got back to our homeland, and we're still impressed by the amazing vacation on Rannalhi. Going to the Maldives was my most cherished dream. And this is the year I finally got to make it happen! The turquoise Indian Ocean, snow-white sand, coconut palms, mangroves, bat foxes, herons, the amazing underwater world all give a wonderful atmosphere of privacy and relaxation to Adaaran Club Rannalhi. The staff greeted him nicely, check-in not before 14:00. Room is spacious, ocean view, huge double bed, closet with safe and umbrellas, table with chairs both inside and on the terrace, hold, air conditioner (cools very well), combined bathroom with shower (towels - large, small, for feet; hairdryer, standard sets: gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, razor, toothbrushes, sewing kit), outlets universal (adapters not needed) and in sufficient quantity, light dimmed, TV, refrigerator, lantern, teapot with glasses, water 1.5 litres per day per person, beach towels (changed daily). Constant cleaning of the room and the grounds. The food is varied, everything is delicious - seafood, chicken, like beef, bacon, eggs, potatoes, rice, pasta, vegetables, fruit, Indian cuisine, grill, pastries, ice cream, various desserts, tea, coffee, juices, etc. You'll never be hungry. The room has a table and a waiter, which is very convenient. There are no lines for dishes. On-site shop with souvenirs, spa, diving, water sports with excursions, bars with delicious drinks and snacks. There are paid menus in bars and special dinners. Anything you buy on the island, whether it's a souvenir or a rental, is booked into the room and paid at the checkout the day before departure. The weather was volatile, the sun scorching, the clouds, the rain coming, and all these changes were beautiful. One side of the island is slick, the other is a little windy, with waves. The beaches are beautiful, lie down on a deckchair and enjoy the charming nature. The unforgettable experience of swimming with fish, as well as with sharks suddenly swimming by your side. And of course, I won't forget to mention the incredible animator Bibo. Never lets you get bored. Keeps you busy with yoga, aqua aerobics, Zumba, volleyball, snorkeling spots. Very friendly, sensitive, sympathetic, social, funny, speaks Russian. Nights of disco, karaoke, live music. All in all, I'm thrilled! Thank you so much for a wonderful time! ❤️

The island was beautiful and there were so many nice flora and fauna all around the island. The food was okay, nothing amazing but nothing bad. How ever, the chef made sure to constantly check in to ensure I had enough to eat due to my dietary restrictions. On that note, the service at meals, the bar, and of custodial staff was impeccable barring one bad experience we had. Upon arrival, we were told to pay a fee which we were aware of. However, no further instructions were given (it was offhandedly mentioned) from the staff and we were promptly guided to our room without being instructed to pay at that time. Later that night, when we were walking by reception, we were cornered by one of the staff members who demanded us to make the payment. The way he approached us was unpleasant, rude, and unprofessional, as he was intruding on our vacation instead of potentially sending a notice to our room or something.
The bar staff were super helpful and all of the drinks were delicious. They made the drinks efficiently.
Our waiters Sabeena and Ismail were awesome as well, clearing our plates right after we finished eating and always making sure we had water and drinks during meals.
Overall, the trip was a great experience.

We’ve been to the Maldives three times in the same price range, but this hotel has been the biggest disappointment so far.
The food in the restaurant has very little variety, the meat is tough, there are no appetizers, no kids’ meals, just fish and tough beef over and over again.
The worst part is the bar, where there are almost no mixed cocktails, just syrupy juices. There’s no coffee either, only available for a fee, and it’s not worth much. In the corner of the bar, you can help yourself to milk coffee, which is available all day, but I wouldn’t recommend it; it tastes awful. This serveces were in another hotels absolutly normal- mixed drinkes, ice cofees, prossecco, caffee Late…, milkshakes for kids, lot of variety od alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks… coconaut every day…
The snacks aren’t any better, I won’t even comment on that. The service at the bar is another tragedy; guests have to wipe their own tables and carry their own glasses.
The only positive is the cleanliness of the rooms, if you overlook the smell of sewage in the bathroom.
The beaches are beautiful, but there are no cushions on the sunbeds, so you lie on a towel on a hard plastic lounger.
The island is beautiful, but it is marred by ugly concrete pillars almost everywhere on the beach.
On the positive side, there are trips like fishing and shark feeding, and I highly praise the animator Bibo and the staff in the restaurant and on the boat.
However, if you’re looking for a beautiful place, choose a different resort.

The island is beautiful, surrounded by shaded beaches located right in front of the rooms. There is also a large white sand beach, where you can discover magnificent fish while snorkeling. Many deckchairs are placed along the beaches and each room has two beach mattresses. We were all inclusive and it is undoubtedly the best option if you are with family: the restaurant offers many very varied and delicious dishes - the desserts could perhaps be improved but the French are demanding in this area - and Snacks are offered outside restaurant opening hours. Both bars offer numerous cocktails and mocktails. The activities offered are numerous: excursions, jet-skiing, paddle… You have to plan a budget to have a little fun every day. The facilitators are adorable and offer many activities - free - throughout the day, but without forcing participation: if they come across us, they suggest but do not force them like in some clubs. Thematic evenings are organized every evening in a very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and were renovated in 2020. Cleaning is done twice a day, bathroom and beach towels are changed every day and all done with great discretion. In short, we don’t think about doing anything other than enjoying! The staff takes great care and contributes greatly to the success of the stay. Hisham served us in the restaurant all week with professionalism, attention and a smile! We had an unforgettable stay with the children, in an idyllic setting and a gentle way of life specific to this island.

I cannot fault this resort at all. Everything from checking in to checking out was idyllic. The rooms are perfectly adequate and well maintained with wardrobe, mini bar (chargeable), large comfortable bed, dressing table, kettle with tea/coffee, large bathroom with double shower. Each room has a drying rack outside with 2 lifejackets, a foot bath to get all the sand off your feet before you get into the room, 2 chairs and a table on the patio/balcony. All buildings are just 2 storeys and the whole island is sand, no tarmac or concrete. The restaurant is great. Very large and open with fans all over. The food was very good, some of the best I've had on a buffet. Sabeena, Jose and Shazra were excellent in their service, a credit to the company. In fact all of the staff were excellent and very friendly apart from the watersports staff who could have been a lot more helpful with a beginner paddleboarder. Snorkelling was incredible every day and the few trips we did were great. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this resort.

Staying here at the moment and need to say how welcoming the staff make you feel always cheerful and smiling. The resort is amazing with spectacular views around the island and beautiful white sand beaches always spotless and an inviting sea to swim in and amazing coral reefs and a beautiful array of fish. The rooms in the hotel are very clean and comfortable with a comfortable bed after a day of relaxing and sunbathing. The restaurant is also very good with an abundance of dishes but they could do with being a little hotter and the holding temperature was only 2 or 3 should be a least 4 or 5 . Rohan the executive chef and his team of staff and the waiting staff do a fantastic job and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are very friendly and attentive and kept very busy and always polite. The spa was very good and great for unwinding and staff are very nice a little pricey but worth it. Overall I am enjoying my stay and have 3 days remaining weather has been great too. A amazing place to get away from everyday life and chill. On the downside is the music is far too loud as it is constantly thumping till midnight and most residents just want a relaxing evening and quiet relaxing evening and night and the music doesn’t take into account for older people the idea is to get away from the day to day life and chill out not to be disturbed by constant thumping music take this into consideration please. Anyway thanks again to everyone who are making my and my wife’s stay a lovely experience and THANK YOU we will miss you all when we leave. Thanks also to all the unsung heroes behind the scenes who keep the restaurant running smoothly without you your help the restaurant would not be able to cope. You all deserve a round of applause for your hospitality and service thanks……

The Maldives are absolutely beautiful! Adaaran Club Rannalhi is a fantastic place to stay. Very comfortable bed, lovely pillows, clean bathroom and room. Roomy front verandah upstairs with a view to die for from each and every room. We stayed in Room 218. They make your room up in the morning as well as after we had a nap in the afternoon, they neatened the bed again before we returned to room after dinner. The variety of food was wonderful, catering for vegetarians, young or old tastes. You are seated at the same table each meal, so we had the same waiters. Yaish and Hisham were wonderful and kind young men who went above and beyond to help us. Sabina on Front of House - Dining Room was so helpful in organising our seafood dinner on the beach as well. It was absolutely lovely. The island is wonderful. It is quiet, with no paths, just sand and you can pretty much swim anywhere along the shore (so right outside your room). We had a wonderful massage at a very reasonable price. There were fish that came in each afternoon at the bar area with half metre long black tip reef sharks, and along came a "sleepy shark" 2m long on one afternoon. I also saw three large stingrays swim right by one day. It was awesome seeing them if you don't snorkel. The fish are swimming around you all the time you are in the water. The speed boat trip was great and stopped in at the sister island of Adaaran Club Resort to drop off some supplies. We did a half day Male tour with a walking tour guide of the green zone, taking in mosque, memorial wall, experienced the prayer time call on loud speakers at lunchtime, we visited some souvenir shops, fish market, fruit and vegetable bazaar. It is so very different when you land at Male Airport, you collect luggage, go through customs and walk outside, across the crossing and get on your boat instead of a taxi or shuttle bus. Even though this small port is very congested with boats, the water is still crystal clear. Overall the atmosphere was very friendly and helpful. Just a great holiday.

We stayed in a water villa for our 4-day honeymoon, and it was an unforgettable experience.
Guest Relations: Roshan, our guest relationship executive, was incredible. From check-in to check-out, he was welcoming, attentive, and informative, ensuring our stay was seamless.
Activities: Sunrise Ocean Explorer: This was truly amazing! The villa’s floor offered a view of the fish below, and during the morning excursion, we saw numerous sharks—absolutely worth it.
Scuba Diving: As first-timers who don’t know how to swim, we were a bit nervous, but the knowledgeable instructors made us feel completely at ease. It turned out to be an excellent experience.
Snorkelling: This was another highlight. Even though I can’t swim, it was easy to enjoy seeing the vibrant fish and coral.
Entertainment: Bibo is a rockstar! He leads activities like aqua gym and various party events, bringing so much energy and enthusiasm. Engaging guests is no easy task, but his vibe and passion made our time even more fun.
Food: The food exceeded our expectations—surprising for an island! The menu rotates regularly, and the variety and quality were fantastic.
Housekeeping & Special Touches: The team went above and beyond for our honeymoon. We enjoyed a complimentary candlelight dinner, and the room was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Our server during dinner was excellent—giving us the perfect balance of privacy and attentiveness as we enjoyed a relaxed 2.5-hour meal.
The restaurant staff were equally accommodating; if something wasn’t on the menu, they happily prepared it for us. Towels were always available, and the rooms were cleaned twice a day to perfection.
Drinks & Island Maintenance: The all-inclusive drinks were great, and the island itself is meticulously maintained, satisfying even my OCD-level standards for cleanliness.
We had an incredible time, and we highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

The resort is around 45 minutes from Male airport via seaboat. The water is very clear, and the rooms while not very spacious are decent in terms of cleanliness. The general staff are polite enough. You get snorkelling equipments for free, but do try to get them early as they get rented out fast. You also get life jackets. The place outside our rooms had good sitting area, and the beach itself will take around 20 minutes to tour. Coming to food, we are vegetarians and we did not find anything in the buffet worth having. While we struggled on the first day, our server Simran was very helpful. She helped us connect to the Indian chef Sampoorn, and always helped accommodating our requests. Sampoorn made delicious food for us, one of the best paneer curries we've had anywhere. A big special thanks to Simran and Sampoorn for making our stay pleasant overall. The water was clear and we could see corals and some fishes. The scuba diving point had really pleasant staff, taking their time to give us all the information. The dive itself was very good for beginners, with Pablo being my diver who was helpful. While I could not go very deep, it was a pleasant experience. Only feedback would be that I had spent 77$ for pictures of my dive, and most of my 100 photos were not that great. Was expecting my pictures with some corals and fishes. Hope they improve on that aspect.
