After staying in Anantarah Kihavah for 8 days, I can surely say that it is the best resort in Maldives in every aspect you can think of, they are always at your service, they are never late, they are very friendly and the cleanliness of the property amazed me, they handle everything once you reach Male airport and until you reach the property, they have assign you a host which is 24/7 under your service, and much more. My host was Azmeen and he helped me with everything I needed and was always there for me when I needed something. Because of my recent experience with Anantara Kihavah, I will definitely return to them and will hardly recommend them to anybody who wants a good experience in the Maldives.
Just back from a week in Anantara Kihavah - it has been truly wonderful. The friendliness of the staff, the luxurious villa, the quality of the food, the impeccable service (provided by everyone and of course hour villa host Ifoo), the combination of ocean-beach-green, the nearby reef,... it all adds up to an unforgettable stay. You can see and feel that the staff does everything to ensure that you can relax and not have to think of anything, which makes this place highly recommendable if you want to be away from the busy world... I am not writing a lot in terms of reviews, but when it is extremely well deserved, I do so. Thank you Kihavah - keep up the great efforts.
Planned a trip to Anatara for our honeymoon and we couldn't have made a better decision. Besides the island being stunning and having a blast at the incredible pool vilas, the staff is out of this world. The service provided by everyone at the resort was over the top, met all our expectations. We're looking forward to returning soon!
Thank you for the trip. Even though weather was bad it was still a great experience. We stayed for 4 nights and honestly wanted to stay for more. We went at the worst time in the year and it was still amazing experience. Big thanks to Shakhnoza and qasem!
Anantara Kihawah Maldives, another gem in the Indian Ocean. Our sixth luxury resort and fifth visit to the Maldives. Greeted by turquoise blues, the very rhythmic Boduberu (traditional Maldivian drumbeat), tender coconut in the typical Maldivian style; we entered once again into another tropical paradise. The logistics from the time of arrival to our departure, all timed and organised precisely by Anantara. Entering our accommodation, a charming luxury water villa with ocean views, high ceiling and wooden floors and the outdoor shower all tastefully designed to reacquaint us to the calm and serenity of nature! Visiting Baa atoll for the first time, we were excited for our diving holiday and enjoyed our dives at the house reefs and the nearby islands. We saw turtles, sting and eagle rays, shrimps and lobsters and hundreds of fish including lionfish, gropers, Nemos (clown fish), clamps and coral too. Each dive left us wanting for more, even though we felt, the Dive centre has some catching up to do to ensure better service and safety checks before diving. The real gem of Anantara was not found in the ocean but hidden behind the kitchen counters, head chef Prabhash, who cooks from his heart and serves with a smile. Prabhash delighted us with his delectable culinary expertise and versatility. Every meal, we were served the fresh catch of the day, fish, squid, lobster and more; each meal cooked with select fresh ingredients. Chef Prabhash, originally from Kerala in the southern part of India cooked traditional south Indian cuisine. Spicey fried red snapper, king fish steamed in banana leaf were some of his signature dishes, packed with flavour and absolutely divine. If you thought the chef’s forte was just south Indian cuisine you would be surprised because he excelled at Chinese Szechuan style as well and the squid Szechuan was finger licking delicious and he totally bowled us over with his Italian sea food pasta, delicate and divine. A foodie’s heaven, we enjoyed both restaurants, Manzaru and Spice. It was lovely to meet Arun with his expertise on wine and whiskey. Prabhash and Arun make a formidable F&B team. We would certainly return to the island just to indulge in the Chef’s culinary specials. The resort Manager, Thomas chatted with guests everyday to personally ensure that all guests were comfortable and happy with the resort and services. And finally, a big heartfelt thanks to the locals for their hard work without which any island or resort would fail to function. Some who made our stay pleasurable, our villa host, Ismail attending to any and every need, housekeeping staff Waheed, for the creative surprises in the villa.…
The best hospitality I've ever experienced in my life , we tried the under the stars cinema its wonderful , we went to swim with the turtels and its a great experience, the food is really tasty im definitely coming back.
We stayed here for 4 nights, and it was magical. The hospitality we received from staff, especially from our host IFOO, was amazing. The resort was heaven on earth, the crystal clear waters with its white sandy beach, the greens, the restaurants as well, and the Sky bar roof lounge during sunset was exceptional! The resort felt like home away from home, cant wait to go back again!
Anatara Kihavah is certainly one of the best or if not the best resorts to stay in the Maldives. During every day of our stay, we were greeted with smiling faces and the very kind and hospitable staff of Anantara Kihavah really made our stay wonderful. The resort offers a wide variety of restaurants to visit such as Spice, which is an Asian delight offering the very best of what the Indian Subcontinent and East Asia has to offer. Another great restaurant with brilliant views of the ocean, right on the beach, is Manzaru which is a wonderful Italian place to dine at, and not to forget, Plates is where you will be treated to one of the best breakfast buffets anywhere in the Maldives, with a lovely A Lá Carte menu and a wonderful buffet. However, an experience that will stay in your memory forever is at the Sea restaurant. This once in a lifetime experience is surely one that you won’t want to miss out on as you dine on a gastronomic four course meal, sitting right next to Kihavah’s magical coral marine life. Our two bedroom villa was all that we could have wished for with cozy beds and a spectacular outdoor bathtub and showers. The massive pool that we had was really nice to swim in and the staff made sure it was kept clean everyday as well. The beach was just a few steps away from our villa and the sunset from the beach was one of the most beautiful sunsets we had seen. A special mention to our villa host Naufa, who was very kind and helpful, as she always arranged everything for us and ensured that she took care of everything we needed, from restaurant bookings to ordering something to our room, and even giving us many rides on the buggy! So, we would like to give her a big thank you for taking such wonderful care of us. Another special mention to our room cleaner Mohammed, who cleaned our room impeccably each day and night. Finally, the stargazing activity was certainly the most magical and spectacular experience of our stay at Kihavah, as the star guru showed us some wonderful constellations through the most powerful telescope in the Indian Ocean! Our stay at Anantara Kihavah is definitely one of the most wonderful stays we have had, and the hospitality of the kind and caring staff made our experience even more memorable. We hope to visit the paradise of Kihavah again and will recommend this place to our family and friends!…
My second Stay at Anantara Kihavah and not the last. This amazing property is something special. You all need to see it! All room categories are great, the food is amazing and the staff is so friendly and professional. Thank you Zidhan, Maashi and the whole team!
We visited just after Covid testing and mask restrictions had ended in April 2022 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It came highly recommended by our Dermatologist who had visited twice with her family of four. I must say this place is special. The personal care and attention from the staff (including the general manager who addressed us by our name multiple times during our 3 night stay) made us feel at home. Our hostess Naufa was charming, knowledgeable and always responsive via WhatsApp. Quite frankly we felt a bit spoiled by how well she cared for us with Buggy rides, helping to setup some special anniversary activities, and advice. We had a sunset beach villa, quiet and perfect private path access to the ocean. The occupancy was low when we visited so restaurants we’re never crowded which also was a plus. We enjoyed the sandbank sunset dinner with tasty seafood, more than we could eat. more food than we could eat! I’ve been to other island destinations in Hawaii, Caribbean, Fiji, etc) and can say as an Americans visiting from Southern California, just a nice beach and warm weather would not have impressed us. The Maldives and AK in particular is a gem.…
