We stayed two nights at Economy Inn and Suites with our dog. It's a no frills hotel, but the room was clean and quite spacious. Bathroom was clean as well and plenty of hot water. Very comfortable for our stay. The location was very convenient for sightseeing in Shawnee National Forest and excellent value for the price. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Harrisburg.
This hotel was the biggest mistake of the whole trip. I originally booked this hotel on Booking.com but had Covid/Work related issues and had to cancel one of the nights. When I called and asked for a one night stay I was told to cancel both nights through Booking.com and they would match price. It was taxed almost $20. Upon arrival, 30 minutes early, there was no toilet paper or Wi-Fi. Every time Wi-Fi was brought up in the stay, it was completely ignored. We did however get toilet paper. Decided to look past that and get a shower. The water didn't drain the entire stay. Pulled the drain and everything, no luck. When trying to contact my 3 year old daughter (I did not have service the entire trip, not hotel's fault) the telephone did not work. I then tried to contact the front desk. No luck. Decided to try the front desk in person next, no one was there. I went back to my designated room and used my roommate's phone. Upon check out, 1 hour early, I again returned to the office. This time I was greeted. The woman, whom which would not disclose her name, insisted that someone was there the previous night. I explained all of the obstacles faced during our 1 night stay. Her response was to call me an "Idiot" in which I proceeded to leave. After 3 days of thoroughly contemplating my best response, I was patronized and told "I know your type. Just trying to get free room." Excuse me but I am not ever going to this hotel again. No "free room" necessary. She then hung up on me. I will never be returning.…
I got two rooms during a visit to family, one for me and one for my parents. While not overpowering, you could smell the bleach/ disinfectant they used. I knew the rooms were clean! Much appreciated during the pandemic. Very helpful staff. Good bed, slept well. Not a bad value for the money.
Was in the area to explore the Shawnee National Forest and found this hotel. It is an older one but clean and reasonable. I had two double beds, cold air conditioning, a large tv, microwave, refrigerator and clean bathroom. Owner was very courteous and made the check in smooth.
Stayed here on our Big 2019 Road Trip. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Several places for food nearby. Ample parking and nice staff (even if they wouldn't freeze our ice packs for us - the room fridge does have a freezer compartment, but it's small). Prices are reasonable for the quality level.
