Very well-kept rooms and plenty of main floor room to gather with friends and family. Excellent value and very convenient access to garden of the gods and cave-in rock parks and trails. Hostess was friendly and helpful.

We loved Jatina and her service was amazing. They cooked a great breakfast and the charm of the building was great. She keeps it in stellar condition. We will use this Inn to stay from now on as long as Jatina is running it. Great place to stay if you're visiting the Shawnee national forest or the Garden of the gods. 100% recommended and super chill vibe.

Traveling from inside the DC beltway, this was a destination vacation. Southeastern Illinois College (SIC), offered a dedication for a new Museum of Regional Art. A short drive from Harrisburg, IL The campus was right around the corner from a welcoming and cheerful B&B. The ELLA ELIZABETH HISE Museum and it's emphasis on regional art was our focus for this venture. Staying at the LAFAYETTE INN gave us a wonderful perspective of life "Back In The Day". Ms. Felty, Innkeeper, provided my wife & I a grand tour, full of insights of the surrounding area. The B&B included a fine breakfast. Visit the SIC campus & chat with students / faculty we did during the dedication when the community 500 strong, enjoyed Dr. Jonah Rice , SIC President opening remarks, followed by a superb insight on the life and contributions of ELLA ELIZABETH HISE by a renown local artist & teacher of the year, Mrs. Barb Allen who's work was on display. Ms. Felty, of the INN, is proud of the opportunities which were part of her education at SIC--Hands on training, teaching and recognition. Today, a wonderful museum ,named for a former local Teacher of Art---- Ella Elizabeth HISE.

One of the nicer places to stay in Harrisburg, IL. Hostess Jatina was very friendly. Soon after we checked in she brought us cookies and ice water in the living room area. Breakfast in the morning was fresh fruit, juice, scrambled eggs, bacon and toast.
