We stayed at this resort from January 29th to February 3rd. We ended up being upgraded to the Bungalows. Albeit, we ended up in a room with 2 double beds for my wife and I as they were out of king beds, but we made it work. Perhaps we slept better in different beds!? That was one downside, but being in the Bungalows we had our own sitting area outside the room that walked out to a private pool for guests in the Bungalows. That was a huge plus! I guess another downside to the Bungalows was the water pressure in the shower/tub was terrible. Again, we managed though. Overall, the resort was incredible. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, AC worked well, and staff was incredibly nice. Whenever we needed something such as extra towels, housekeeping was very responsive and extremely nice. The views from the golf course are breathtaking. The views of the resort from the ocean are amazing. A good portion of the beach along the resort is soft sand and easy for walking and hanging out. If you make it to the resort, make sure you eat at Shore. We ate there our final 2 nights overlooking the ocean and had a blast. The girls were fantastic and even brought extra banana muffins for me. They were delicious. I kept asking for more, so they just brought a to go box for us. Thank you to the staff at the resort for making our stay a great one!

Stayed at this beautiful resort from March 8-15. Property was beautiful and staff was very helpful. It is far from the town but had a good selection of restaurants and a good selection of activities. Pool area was wonderful and tried the yoga classes (additional charge) which were really good - instructor was excellent. The restaurant on the golf course did have a pretty serious problem with dung beatles in the evenings but they were working hard to resolve that issue. Golf course was expensive but very good.

We love our secluded slice of paradise and try to provide guests with as many options as possible for dining, adventure and serenity without leaving the resort. That said, we also want guests to be able to get out and experience our incredible destination with shuttle service to downtown and on-site rental car service to go exploring. You're correct that we do have beetles during certain times of the year, but do want to clarify that they're June Bugs who are coming into the open-air restaurant because they're attracted to the lights. I'm glad you enjoyed golfing at Old Quarry! It's definitely one of the best courses in the Caribbean. Thanks again for taking the time to review your stay. I was greeted with a drink, but I waited in a queue of only 3 people for almost an hour. The staff was slow, and they got my booking wrong. There was hair in the bath when I arrived in the room and my floor was constantly sandy. The housekeeping staff barged into the room while I was in the shower despite me saying not to enter. The amenities are terrible and having them bolted to the wall of the shower makes the place feel cheap. I was in the room one day while the woman was cleaning, and she cleaned the floor with a dirty towel. The Medi restaurant is dirty and full of flies. I had to stop eating because the flies were getting into my food. The price is outrageous for the limited menu and the staff is horrible. I watched the man at the omelette station make an omelette wrong for a guest twice. He threw the pan when she corrected him the second time. When she wasn't looking, he made it wrong again in secret to spite her an openly mocked her to me and the other guests when she left. The restaurant is lovely, and the food is good, but the service is SO SLOW. We waited 15 minutes for menus. Once we got them it was another 30 minutes to order and then 30 mins for the food. The worst part is that we had a table by the grass and the sprinklers came on. We got soaked and the served just laughed as it happened. No help, no napkins, nothing but laughing at us. The hotel’s towel card policy is ridiculous. Everyone gets a towel card at check in so why should we have to wait at a booth by the pool to exchange them for towels? There was no one at the towel stand and, after waiting 5 minutes, I took my own towel. Someone came running and screamed at me like I was a criminal. We booked an excursion snorkelling through the hotel. The driver was late, and we didn't have time to go to the planned destination. The woman at the excursion desk said she would tell the driver where to take us that was good for snorkelling and was close to the hotel. The driver spoke no English and we had to stop at her home to pick up and drop off her son to translate. I explained that I'm fluent in Spanish and we don't need a translator. She picked him up anyway, wasting more time. We drove for over an hour to a beach that was filthy and, when we arrived, we were told that the water was polluted, and we couldn't swim. We turned around and went back to the hotel. We paid to snorkel and never even got to leave the car. We complained to the hotel and all they said is that that beach was not where we were meant to go, and we shouldn't have been taken there. We were told that, despite being booked and arranged by the hotel we had to pay the driver and there was nothing we could do about it. I am an Expedia VIP and was given a voucher for discounts at check in. No one on the property had any idea how to use them. Every time I tried, I was given a different answer or excuse why they didn’t apply. When I checked out, there were so many problems on the bill. Over charges, charges for things I was told were free because of my VIP status. It took 25 minutes to resolve while my taxi to the airport was waiting. The woman helping me was RUDE! She got the changes wrong many times. When I told her that my taxi was waiting (after the 3rd time the bill was still wrong) she said, "you can wait, or you can just pay the bill with the extra charges".

I have a variety of concerns with the events you describe, but I'm most saddened to read your comments about our staff and service levels. Timely and polite service is among our top priorities and clearly we missed the mark across a variety of touchpoints. I do want to address your feedback about our bathroom amenities and why we utilize dispensers in our showers for bath products. All of our bath amenities are locally sourced through CurAloe. Both the local sourcing and refillable dispensers are part of the resort's sustainability initiatives to avoid excess waste from single-use disposable products. While I wish I would've been made aware of your concerns at the time, I'm very sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. Again, thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We visit this resort annually and love everything about it. The property itself is located on 1500 private acres and includes numerous restaurants, a golf course, tennis courts, hiking and biking trails, beaches, swimming pools and access to a range of water sports. The casual elegance of the decor and interior design make a perfect fit for the stunning scenery. Crystal clear, blue-green seas, beautiful landscaped grounds and bright, sunny skies make for a perfect vacation. The sea is like bath water, the weather is always warm, and trade wind breezes keep things comfortable. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, each with a lovely veranda or balcony. Staff members provide excellent service and are always friendly, gracious, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. A range of restaurants offers delicious menus and provides both casual and more formal dining options. We never tire of sitting on our balcony, listening to the sound of tropical birds and watching the sun set. We are especially fond of having dinner outside, under the stars, as well as reading a book while relaxing in a hammock surrounded by a field of swaying palm trees. There is an excellent fitness center with beautiful views of the sea, offering a wide variety of equipment. The Atabei Spa has a wonderful range of treatments in a tranquil environment. The lobby provides incredible views of the ocean that make you feel peaceful the moment you arrive. If you are looking to get away from it all, to unplug, unwind and to relax, this resort is perfect. We've been coming here for the past 7 years- I call it my happy place and always feel joyful when I am at staying at my 'home away from home.'

We booked 4 nights in a beautiful, expensive suite with uninterrupted ocean views. Two of those nights were wasted because the hotel booked large events on the beach outside with live bands, djs and fireworks going until 1-2am. The manager was very nice and comped is a day trip to Klein Curaçao to make up for our trouble. However, when we got our bill and I remembered that we were spending almost $1,000/night for a room filled with the noise of two 300-person parties, I felt like we’d chosen badly for that part of our honeymoon. It wasn’t romantic and we don’t have great memories because of the hotel really being an outdoor event space. Our room in Willemstad wasn’t as beautiful but was quiet and a one-third the cost with a great beach pool.
