The inn is on the College of DUPage campus located near a beautiful pond. It is in a quiet setting with easy parking. The walk in shower is very nice. Each morning they offer a breakfast tray in your room or in the adjacent lounge. Very reasonable rates and the staff is most helpful!!
I went to get away from the hub bub of life for a couple of days. And this was exactly what I needed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The property is clean and beautiful everywhere--the lobby, the lounge area, the room, the bathroom. The breakfast is top-notch (and included in the price, which is amazing). The cozy lounge, as I read a good book and sipped the plentiful tea with lil yummy cookies that are out 24/7, was a welcome change from my busy world. And even though it was a November day, I took a lovely walk around the pond. It is a high-end hotel on a college campus. Go figure! :-)
Surprise find in Glen Ellyn at College of DuPage. My husband and I had tickets for the Blue Note Records 80th Anniversary Tour, especially to see Kandace Springs and we were so happy to find out that we could stay right on the campus grounds. Since we were traveling from Milwaukee WI, this was a good find. We arrived early and Dylan greeted us and said we could check in at that time and showed us our room, the lounge and gave a bit of history of the Inn. The Mac Center was so close to the Inn which was another bonus. Our room was very comfortable and after a great concert, we relaxed in our comfy room. We received a very nicely presented breakfast in the very pleasant lounge the next morning and then made the decision to stay one more night due to the snowy conditions. During the previous night we met Joe who was very helpful with providing me information about the nearby Verizon store and even listened as I explained my phone problem. We were able to head to town in the snow, but were glad not to tackle the freeway that day. We saw Dylan again later and he helped us get passes for the college gym. That evening we met Kiana who was also a very friendly and helpful person at the Inn. We also met Terry, head of housekeeping, who provided us with some history of the college and the Inn, including current remodeling projects. She was so accommodating in helping us warm up our carry-in food, provided us with the nice dinnerware and other amenities. We had a very pleasant evening in front of the lobby fireplace, meeting one of the college professors, and just relaxing. On our final morning, we had another very pleasant breakfast, got to look in at the Waterleaf restaurant, not open that day, but also saw the wonderful open teaching spaces and wonderful foods made there. We again saw Dylan and Kiana and thanked them for all their wonderful hospitality. We told all these lovely people that we hope to return to the Inn and perhaps get to see another special performance in the future. Also I was glad that I could get some GF items for breakfast. This was a super 2 night get away. …
The Inn at Waters Edge is managed by the Culinary and Hospitality Center of the College of DuPage. The extremely comfortable rooms are located on the 3rd floor, all with a view of a lovely pond. The bed we had was one of the most comfortable we’ve encountered —- even more so than ours at home. Coffee is available 24/7 in the lounge at the end of the hall, and also in each room. Breakfast gets ordered the night before, and is delivered at the time you indicate. It consists of oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled egg, cheese, juice, and fresh fruit. The bathroom was well designed and very spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our nights there, as well as the very helpful, friendly staff. Highly recommend it!
Wonderful venue for gathering family from 5 states. Rooms were clean and perfect size. Shower was awesome. The lounge was perfect for having family breakfast and coordinate the days activities. Free convenient parking. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Perfectly situated to visit the Morton Arboretum and several other museums and parks. Golf coarse just down the road.
