Our family drove 150 miles to host a baby shower for 22 women on a Sunday afternoon at the Oscar Swan Inn, a quiet but breathtaking establishment in Geneva, IL, with a longstanding reputation for excellence. The whole experience was exquisite, and truly one of a kind for the Chicago area, as it is pretty hard to find a glorious,... More

We spent five days at this lovely Inn, and felt thoroughly pampered every moment! We met Nina, the landlady when we went downstairs the first morning. She reminded us of Julia Child, and not only because every breakfast we had was fabulous. She had that way of making you feel like you, of all her guests, were somehow special. Each... More

I have stayed at, had lunch at, held meetings, weddings and showers at this historic mansion. Hosts Nina and Hans are not your typical behind the counter suit and tie hotel managers, this is their baby and they treat guests like people coming into their home, in other words very personal. If one expects a pristine predictable hotel experience, check... More

Our second time staying here & we enjoy the loft spaciousness. The cleverly divided space, provides plenty of room for us. A dining/ game table area has a separate twin & the larger loft has a king & queen bed, with places to read, play games, & brew coffee or make snacks. The home is of a simpler era &... More

My husband and I stayed at the Oscar Swan in Geneva for a quick weekend getaway before our baby is due. We read some horrible reviews, but they were totally wrong based on our experience! This B&B is an old mansion built in 1902, so if you're expecting all the comforts of a brand new chain hotel, you're crazy and... More

The Inn is old, with old furnishings and wonderful mismatched tableware. The grounds are lovely, calm and peaceful. The breakfast is pretty and filling. We didn't need the AC but used the fan in the room. The spaces are kind of dark due to the small windows in the original building. The feeling of the Inn was serene.

We really enjoyed talking with Nina and Hans. The bed was better than my own brand new bed. The food was great! Love the outdoor patios and back room. I wish we had stayed an extra day just to relax. We definitely plan on staying again.

What a gem! We stayed here for lack of other similar type accommodations in the area and were very satisfied with the Inn. Hans and Nina were very welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, and the grounds and Inn were delightful.

We stayed at the Oscar Swan Inn for three nights. Our room and bath were very clean. The A/C worked well. The bed was comfortable. The shower (tub) was standard for a remodeled B&B. The breakfast buffet had plenty of food, including lots of fruit and coffee cakes. The wifi worked well, we didn't try the TV. There was no... More
