Before we left, we sent a question to the innkeepers re: the off-street parking and they responded almost immediately, with directions and a photo of the coach house so we wouldn't miss it. Alex and Geoff answered the door and welcomed us with a quick tour of the beautifully restored old mansion before showing us to our room. As it was close to daily wine with appetizers time, a bottle of wine was shortly delivered along with some fruit, candies and the best homemade macaroons. We chose room #1 for its view of Galena and we were not disappointed. The innkeepers anticipated what we needed and when. The breakfast cuisine was so very delicious and expertly presented; original marble sinks and wood shutters were just two amazing details of the historic house. But the innkeepers made it a special stay - you could see they really had their heart in it. We will definitely return to The Inn at Felt Manor.

Bill & Andi, It was such a treat to meet the two of you during your brief trip to Galena! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the home and the historic town. We fell in love with the manor immediately and love all of the original architecture that is still intact from over 170 years ago. Visiting is like taking a trip back in time. Thank you for sharing your positive experience. Hope to see you back soon!!

WOW. I can't stop saying it after our trip this last weekend to Galena. We were concerned about COVID and wanted a private experience but with a personal touch, so we picked Felt Manor's coach house. It's completely private and separate from the main house and completely renovated and updated. It has great air conditioning, a kitchen, HD TV, and lots of other amazing amenities. The service here is just so top notch. Alex and Geoff came to greet us in masks and gloves when we checked in and let us know that everything had been cleaned before we arrived. They had left us wine and a charctuerie plate in our fridge! Almost everything is contactless - dropping off food in the morning is done in masks and left on our porch so we can bring it in each morning and can I just say that BREAKFAST is to die for. Everything is homemade and amazing. One morning we had spinach feta quiche - literally the best thing I have ever eaten - and another morning was fresh waffles with citrus cream, eggs and maple bacon! Honestly it's worth it to stay here for the food alone, but it's really the personal touches that take them to the highest tier of service. You can text them at any time with questions. They will give you a tour with history of the home itself. They gave us amazing recommendations for meals and local things to see do (Thuderbay Falls! Galena Cellars Vineyard!). We already want to come back in the fall!

Hi Alex, Catherine, and Jim, It seems like you 'get us'! Thank you so much for sharing your memories with us. We are honored that you chose the Felt Manor Coach House for your summer getaway. It was our pleasure to serve the three of you. It's just Geoff and Alex in the kitchen, so everything is made with love and care. We get so excited when foodies come to visit. There are SO many activities in Galena, that WE haven't done everything yet, and we moved here a year ago after living in NYC for 14 years. Thank you, again, for sharing your positive experiences. We can't wait to share our fall menu with you! <3 Alex and Geoff

We spent four amazing days at the recently renovated Coach House located a few steps from the main Felt Manor. The space is vast and combines the comforts of modern living with original elements. The sliding barn door to the laundry room, the original wood floors, beautiful wood work in the upstairs bedrooms, and many special touches make the Coach House an ideal place to relax and enjoy time with family. The main house at The Inn at Felt Manor is definitely worth a visit to see the beautiful antiques and many working fireplaces. Geoff and Alex are the heart and soul of the Inn! Their welcoming personalities and attention to detail made us feel special. Not to be missed are the made from scratch breakfasts which were delivered to the Coach House by Geoff and Alex. These meals were not your ordinary breakfast of bacon and eggs. Each breakfast started with a large serving of delicious fruit salad that you could mix with homemade granola and Greek yogurt. There was always a serving of freshly baked bread, muffins, or croissants accompanied by a selection of juices, teas and coffee. My favorite breakfast was the Dutch pancake with fruit and creamy lemon topping. I was so busy eating the pancake, I forgot to take a photo! If you get a chance to stay at The Inn, take it! We will definitely return! Alex and Geoff can accommodate any dietary requirements and do so without sacrificing flavor!

All other B&B innkeepers should take a lesson from Geoff and Alex on how it’s done. Impeccable service (always served with a smile) combined with 5-star gourmet breakfasts makes this stay more than worth the splurge. Although given the quality of the food (plus a whole bottle of wine at daily happy hour), it really is an outstanding deal. This is our new go-to getaway destination in Galena.

Can't say enough: close to town, great views, superb gourmet wine reception and WOW gourmet breakfasts, truly impeccable hosting! We stayed 2 nights in Lucius Felt room and loved the sitting area with 2 chairs and coffee table facing town. This was a wonderful spot to drink coffee and plan our day or regroup after walking the Galena steps and hills. Front porch seating and view also fantastic. Alex and Geoff are wonderful hosts and very personable. We felt welcomed and cared for, but they also have a knack for giving as much privacy and space as you want or need. The inn is following careful covid protocols and we felt at ease with how they staggered the guest's breakfasts, etc, and that was important to us. We hope to return for sure.
