My wife and I were looking for a quiet, relaxing and romantic place to stay for a few days, and did we ever find the right place! Susan and Don are the perfect hosts, always friendly, very helpful, welcoming and always want to make your stay even better. The home like atmosphere is so relaxing and comfortable. While were there...

What a wonderful relaxing 3 days at the Farmers Guest House! Susan and Don were gracious hosts! The place is walking distance to the quaint shops of historic downtown Galena. The food was spectacular and we will definitely be returning !

Don and Susan were wonderful hosts. They accommodated our late arrival from Chicago, made us feel at home with delicious breakfasts, friendly wine hour, and were genuinely excited when we shared they we had gotten engaged on Saturday night. We couldn't have found a more perfect place to spend our weekend (and to create a great memory). The cottage was...

Have stayed at several B&B's in Galena the past 25 or so years. Have settled on the Farmers Guest House as the only B&B we now use in Galena. Stayed there at least four trips now. Not that our experience at others have been bad. Just that Farmers Guest House has been perfect, and has become a home away from...

One thing I consider when I return to location (being it as a guest or at a restaurant) is, does the level of customer service continue, improve, or diminish. My husband visited Farmers almost five years ago as honeymooners and have returned since various times. This time our visit was two years long and I observed that Susan and Don...

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed our trip to Galena and our stay at the Farmer's Guest House. We stayed during the Christmas festivities weekend and Susan really knows how to decorate to make everyone feel at home. The food was wonderful and we had a great time at Wine Time every night! Susan and her family go...

My wife and I stayed only one night at Farmers Guest House but were very happy with our stay. The breakfast was outstanding in its quality, taste and amount! Susan is a terrific chef/baker. Both Don and Susan are very amiable, helpful and efficient. The guest house was quite comfortable, functional, quiet and clean. Despite the rather advanced age of...

We stayed at the Farmers Guest House the weekend of December 2-4. The experience was excellent from start to finish. The room was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the beautiful Christmas decorations in the common rooms. The wine hour was a great time to meet with others and hear their experiences of the area. Breakfasts were fantastic of course, and...

Quaint and clean. Lovely place. Great amenities. Fantastic food! The owner/ chef was an award winning chef on Food Network. And the food was creative and delicious. The location is not right downtown but very close and easily walkable to downtown. Also the owners are very friendly and accommodating,

Stayed here for a very relaxing 2 day weekend. Our room was huge and so comfortable. Enjoyed the fire place and the cozy couch for lounging in our room. Breakfast was served downstairs in the dining room (there were tables for 2, 4 or larger parties so no need to socialize with other guests if that's not your thing). Both...
