My room was beautiful. Decorated with great taste. All of the rooms are decorated with such detail. This home was built in the 1800's. There are 5 rooms in this Bed and Breakfast. I stayed in Lene. One of my friends stayed in Viola which I thought was gorgeous and the other friend stayed in Bess which was very pretty!...

Comfortable, very clean, fabulous décor. And a very good bargain to boot. An easy walk to the business district. I visited with 5 other friends from college days, and we had plenty of places to gather and chat. Carol serves an excellent breakfast with a variety of lovely china and tableware.

This was my first B&B experience and I would definitely stay again. Carol was a welcoming hostess who made us feel at home without being fussy at all. The rooms were beautifully decorated and filled with appropriate period pieces but also updated with modern conveniences. All rooms are second floor with nice views. We really enjoyed our stay at the Steamboat House. Our hostess was welcoming and the b&b was lovely. It is a very short walk to downtown Galena. We enjoyed the wine and cheese at 5:00. The breakfast was very good. We would stay there again.

This beautiful home was a step back in time with plenty of today's conveniences. Antiques are everywhere, with plenty of available space in the library or billiards room. The delicious breakfast gave us a great start.

My wife and I just returned from a 2 night stay at The Steamboat House and was totally blown away with the antique furnishings throughout the 1958 constructed house. Carol the owner and hostess was amazing. The stay met our every expectation both in the accommodations and food she prepared.
